• Algarabía "Joy" is a provocative and multilingual text face designed by Leonardo Vázquez. • It was created for a mexican magazine with the same name that uses it as the body text font, and now it's released for the public. • In 1397, Frederic Goudy's was asked to draw a face for the exclusive use of the University of California Press at Berkeley. The font was called California. ITC Typados is the joint effort of Roselyne and Michel Besnard and is composed of characters in two different senses of the word. First, it is of course made of letters and symbols, clean and legible with generous widths and x-heights. There is a hint of Art Nouveau style in the tapering, brush-like strokes. But the figures of ITC Typados are also made of characters in the theatrical sense: little tear-drop heads on tapering bodies that bend themselves into the shapes of an alphabet while maintaining a life of their own. The typeface is based on a recurring character in Michel's sculpture and painting, Ado. Ado is the first character who sings and repeats itself in all my creations," says Michel. "This adventure brings new forms for my painting and my sculpture: coiffed heads, bodies in the form of a cone, arms in the form of spread wings, etc." "Type" plus a number of "Ados" equals ITC Typados."

Mandelia was created by Alex Kaczun, an American type designer, in 2010. The typeface was named in honor of Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa, for his “shining example of the incredible strength of the human spirit to persevere in the face of adversity for the pursuit of freedom”. Mandelia is a strong, bold and wide-bodied serif typeface design, reminiscent of the great African landscape with its diverse animal life. It’s easy to see the influence of the 'Rhino' sharp serifs and ‘Elephant’ size stems and proportions. The font commands attention and respect. Great for headlines that pack a punch, logos, posters, and signage. And because it was well designed, it can even be used in body copy at various point sizes. Cristal is a modern typeface inspired in the cuts of a bevel effect. Its lines build each letter as a cutted gem giving an unique elegant aspect. It comes in two weights to be used at different sizes and has positive and negative versions. Also has a solid version that allows compose more legible texts. Aduana is the first typographic product of argentine-chilean typographic archeology project called "Valpo. Ciudad de Letras" (Fabio Ares & Karin Thiers, since 2016). Based on the letter located on the front of the Customs building (Valparaíso, Chile). The resultant family can be described as display type and modern renaissance style, with geometric shapes and serif and mild line modulation. The proceeds from the sale of the fonts will be used to finance the project.

Barstow is an exuberant revival of Wells & Webb's 1854 woodtype sensation, Gothic Tuscan Italian, building off the original 47 characters with hundreds of new glyphs including Latin language support, symbols, and punctuation. Barstow Shadow is a modulated outline complement to the regular style. Barstow Xtra is composed of charming woodtype ornaments and twists on emoji. The Barstow family is best used in display functions at sizes above 36pts, in short headlines and accent text.

This is not Hollywood. You may be surprised but I am not inspired by the famous Hollywood sign for this type but a grid on a roof of Barcelona. I walked down the street observing the architecture of buildings in the area of the Marina when I saw a grid on a roof. One of the workers put a board on them and the magic happen. Hollywood 69 is now free with 99 !

DIN 2014 Stencil is a stencil version of DIN 2014 typeface inspired by signage, data plates and stencilled building inscriptions. The typeface has a pronounced industrial spirit and can be used in the most rigorous conditions. DIN 2014 Stencil family consists of 18 styles which include six weights (corresponding to DIN 2014) with three grades of 'stencilness' for each weight. The typeface was designed by Vasily Biryukov and released by Paratype in 2017.

Snemand, in Danish, means Snowman. Quite appropriate for the last month of the year! The font is all caps, but upper and lower case letters can be interchanged and it includes alternates for all lower case letters. Snemand is a very legible font and has that great 'unevenish' look - making it a great typeface for packaging and books. Enjoy the snow - while it lasts and go out. You might even build a Snemand!

A set of vintage dies for stamping text into marble headstones or other monuments manufactured by The Vermont Marble Company was the basis for Marble Cutter JNL. The Vermont Marble Company was in business from the 1880s until 1976, when the company was acquired by OMYA, Inc. The original company (also known as Vermarco) supplied marble for everything from the Jefferson Memorial to the United Nations building and dozens of other historic structures in-between.

Clab is meant for branding. The initial characters were build in bold and chunky personality, yet the thin strokes and flowy italics gives it a versatile and unique set of family. The glyphs crafted in low contrast strokes, short ascenders and descenders and low caps. Clab consist of 9 weight from Hairline to Black with each matching italics. Decomic Oblique is one of the handmade fonts of illustrator Paul Hoppe who lives in New York. The font was digitized by Boris Kahl.

Strikt is a variable modular font family with 2 axes, build on a 3x3 grid. It was designed by Peter Bushuev and released in August of 2020. It was inspired by the idea of utilizing the variable font technology to make a font with build-in animation potential. Strikt has 2 variable axes: weight and animation. The first one is self-explanatory, but the animation axis is the main feature of the font. It allows you to morph any glyph to a 3x3 dot array and back. Ocean Beach is a fun, retro, all-caps Nautical Art Deco headline font. It sports geometric letterforms, perfect circles and highly stylized crossbars with waves on several letters—think the beach, flags rippling in the breeze and Fred and Ginger tap-dancing merrily on the deck of a ship! The inspiration for this font are the many whimsical nautical-themed buildings still to be found dotting the landscapes of America, from South Beach in Miami to hidden gems tucked away in industrial areas of southern California. I was fascinated by some of them when I was growing up, and in doing research on Art Deco styles I found many images of these wonderful buildings sporting portholes, streamlined moderne details and even faux rivets. Ocean Beach is created with a 3-stroke detail, and the complexity of the design will be appreciated better in larger sizes of type (36 pts or larger). Use this font for any application that needs a bold, decorative or Art Deco look; great for signage, magazine layout, illustration, posters and packaging.

Although better known for his residential buildings, Richard Neutra’s commercial projects nevertheless resonate the same holistic ecology—unity with the surrounding landscape and uncompromising functionalism. His attention to detail even extended to the selection of signage for his buildings. It is no wonder that Neutra specified lettering that was open and unobtrusive, the same characteristics which typified his progressive architecture. Imagine a font that is easier to read the smaller it is – or the further away the text is. There are already many rasterised fonts, I wanted to take it to the extreme and use as few dots as possible. The result is a typeface that lives up to its name. Each individual circle makes no sense on its own; individual letters are only recognisable in the context of all associated circles, individual letters are most likely to be recognised in the context of whole words. Attached to a building wall, text would be readable from a great distance and become increasingly difficult to decipher the closer you get to the building. Placed on the ground or on a large flat roof, text would only be readable from a higher building, an aeroplane or - depending on the size - in Google Earth. Kontext has old style figures, superscript numerals, case-sensitive questiondown and exclamdown and an alternative ampersand, 390 glyphs at all. Use the same value for font size and line spacing to keep the lines in the grid, or change the line spacing in 10% steps. Change the spacing in 100-unit increments to keep the grid. The numbers in the family- and style-names refer to the (ca.) grey value of the respective background and the font itself. Kontext Dot 00-33 has e.g. a white background (0%) and 33% grey value. Kontext Dot 66-33 has a 66% background and 33% grey value. »Positive« styles (first number smaller than the second number) have kerning, »negative« styles (first number bigger than the second number) can have none.

Buffalo Bill is a revival of an old favorite font that’s been around since 1888, the James Conner’s Sons foundry book of that same year is the oldest source I've seen for this old classic. If you're looking for the font used as the logo for Buffalo Bill’s Irma Hotel in Cody Wyoming please refer to the FontMesa Rough Riders font. New to the Buffalo Bill font is the lowercase and many other characters that go into making a complete type font by today’s standards. The Type 1 version is limited to the basic Latin and western European character sets while the Truetype and OpenType versions also include central and eastern European charcters. William F. (Buffalo Bill) Cody called America’s Greatest Showman was one of the United State’s first big celebrity entertainers known around the world, millions of people learned about the Old West through Buffalo Bill’s Wild West shows which traveled throughout the United States and Europe. William Cody, at age eleven, started work on a cattle drive and wagon train crossing the Great Plains many times, he further went on to fur trapping and gold mining then joined the Pony Express in 1860. After the Civil War Cody went on to work for the Army as a scout and hunter where he gained his nickname Buffalo Bill. In 1872 William Cody started his entertainment career on stage in Chicago along with Texas Jack who also worked as a scout, the Scouts of the Prarie was a great success and the following year it expanded to include Wild Bill Hickok and was eventually named The Buffalo Bill Combination. By 1882 Texas Jack and Wild Bill Hickok had left the show and Buffalo Bill conceived the idea for the traveling Wild West Show using real cowboys, cowgirls, sharpshooters and Indians plus live buffalo and elk. The Wild West shows began in 1883 and visited many cities throughout the United States. In 1887 writer Mark Twain convinced Cody to take the show overseas to Europe showing England, Germany and France a wonderful and adventuruos chapter of American history. The shows continued in the United States and in 1908 William Cody combined his show with Pawnees Bill’s, in 1913 the show ran into financial trouble and was seized by the Denver sheriff until a $20,000 debt (borrowed from investor Harry Tammen) could be paid, Bill couldn't pay the debt and the loan could not be extended so the assets were auctioned off. William Cody continued to work off his debt with Harry Tammen by giving performances at the Sell’s-Floto Circus through 1915 then performed for another two years with other Wild West shows. William F. Cody passed away in 1917 while visiting his sister in Denver and is buried on Lookout Mountain joined by his wife four years later. Close friend Johnny Baker, the unofficial foster son of William Cody, began the Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum in 1921, over the years millions of people have visited William Cody’s grave and museum making it one of the top visitor attractions in the Denver area. William F. Cody romantisized the West creating the Wild West love affair that many still have for it today through books and cinema.

Ukrainian type designer Melnikov Sergey created Flomic font between 2015 and 2016. Flomic is a geometric sans built from a folded lines. Most effective when used in short words or phrases at larger sizes, where the details can be appreciated.

Ultima is a rounded geometric monoline typeface family, built in ten styles. The typeface is ideal for use in display sizes, though is quite legible in text. Ultima is released as OpenType single master with a Western CP1252 character set.

The Vadstenakursiv font was inspired by letterforms first used in the Vadstena nunnery, Sweden, founded by Birgitta, later canonized Saint Birgitta and buried in Rome 1373. These letterforms were also used in documents for different guilds, and on commercial documents.

PORTAGE is a slab serif that carries its own weight. Adventurous and rugged, this typeface that evokes the wild country and makes headlines stand out. The typeface was built from a land and forest journal from the mid-50's.

The POINTIFAX family is a typographic flashback to computing of the early 1980s. POINTIFAX is based on a matrix of dots and looks like the output on an old computer screen. Each is built out of dots, horizontal and vertical lines.

Named for the Zulu traditional spear, Assegai evokes the long, slim outline of the weapon, and the strength of the Zulu warrior.
