HS Wamda is based on some modern style of Naskh calligraphy which supports Arabic, Persian and Latin with a Sans Serif with subtle round on stems and corners. The typeface has been optimized for corporate identity work, editorial design, book, magazine and modern projects when a contemporary and simple look with a similarity between Arabic and Latin is requested. It features a small number of ligatures. Its proportions allow high impact on the tightly set lines of big and small text alike. This font consists of five weights (Thin, Light, Regular, Mediums and bold). Qwatick is a decorative serifed family with three weights, each with an italic style. It is squarish and has small serifs. The bold style has high contrast and the regular style remains readable even at small point sizes. The family originated as a reworking of the odd display font Quidic, moving it toward normality and greater legibility.

The original name for Ambigue was “Confidence”. This font family received the first prize at the German Kurt Christians-Foerderpreis in 1997/98. Its interpolated weights offer a subtle differentiation in the grey levels. A special “Small” weight is available that offers better readability in very small sizes. Vulpa is a charming serif family in regular, italic and bold, informed by the proportions of a personal favorite, Plantin. The quirky foxtail terminals (inspired in part by my script font, Gelato Script) can be seen across all three styles. These little details make the typeface very expressive at display sizes, but practically disappear at text sizes, making for a very versatile face. Across the three styles there are a number of useful OpenType features which make Vulpa capable of demanding typographic work, even though there are only three styles. Regular, italic and bold are all you really need anyway! The regular and bold weights both include small caps, and the italic features swash capitals for most letters. The italic also features quaint discretionary ligatures, and all styles include standard ligatures, automatic fractions, proportional and tabular, lining and oldstyle figures. If this isn't enough, the Vulpa family also includes Ornaments and Drop-Cap fonts. There is an ornament for A to B, a to b and 0 to 9. These have been carefully designed to match the feel of the text fonts, and many are influenced by ornaments and fleurons from the ATF 1912 Type Specimen book. The drop-caps have an engraved look, and two color versions can be made by overlaying upper and lower case. Despite the lack of weights compared to ‘workhorse’ faces, the charm and versatility of Vulpa make it a really useful typeface, that I hope you'll enjoy using as much as I enjoyed making.

From the dainty light weight through to the striking UltraBold, Otama raises the bar to a new level of dangerous sophistication. Although easily classified alongside Modern typefaces such as Didot and Bodoni, Otama was purposely developed with minimum reference to these two visual heavy weights. Dionisio, a CastleType original, takes its inspiration from one of the overlooked treasures of the CastleType library: Ransahoff. The latter is extremely condensed and very elegant. I particularly like its hairline slab serifs and cross-bars. I decided to use it as a starting point for a new design, but to make the proportions more classic and to make it more sensuous with gentler curves and bracketed cross-bar serifs. The result is very Bodoni-like, but less extreme and more contemporary looking. Meanwhile, Dionisio maintains a hint of Ransahoff with condensed letterforms and very fine serifs. Dionisio brings together the best of both, making it the perfect choice where a slender, sophisticated typeface is needed. Dionisio is available in two widths: normal and condensed, five fonts each. A new 100% handmade brush script font family with lots of swashes, alternates and extras. Caps letters in the script font can also be used as a separate font, so you are getting three, not two, fonts + some extras such as catchwords & design elements. Each letter was carefully traced by hand and have clear edges so both fonts can be safely used on a website (sans serif is 61kB and script is 150kB only!). The font is fully unicode mapped. Most letters in the script typeface have few different swash styles that can be accessed via OpenType panel of your application such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshope and even MS Word. If you are working in Sihouette Studio, to get an access to all glyphs you may need an additional software (for example, PopChar or Ultra Character Map).

A classic “American” sans serif with a kink Desphalia belongs to the kind of sans serif fonts that were created in the 19th century. You could also name it “American Gothic”, a sans serif in the style of fonts like Franklin Gothic, News Gothic and similar. Above all, the high x-height characterizes this typeface style, as do the identical heights of uppercase and ascenders. However, I allowed myself a few peculiarities ;-) On the one hand, there is the gently sloping horizontal middle line on letters such as H, E, F, A and e. The M also got gently slanted sides. Some of the lower-case letters have an up- or down-stroke: a d m n p u. This "kink" on the shaft also serves to better distinguish the small l from the capital I — as can be seen clearly with the term »Illinois«. In keeping with the tradition of American typefaces, Desphalia does not have a true italic. Rather, the letters of the “Italic” have the same character forms as the normal upright variant, but in oblique — and so it is not called “Italic” but “Oblique”. Style Set 01: Another American peculiarity is the capital I with dashes above and below. It is included in the Desphalia as an alternate character form. An alternative small l with the “kink” in the ascender is also included — as is a y with the “kink” in the descender. Style Set 02: The corresponding “straight” forms a d l m n p u without the break are included as alternatives in a separate style set. Small caps are uppercase letters that are optically the same size as lowercase letters. They offer a very classy way of emphasis. Desphalia is available in the widths Condensed, Normal and Expanded, the weights include Thin, Light, Book, Bold, Black. Using the variable font, all intermediate levels can be freely selected. The figures are optionally available as tabular figures, proportional lining figures or old style figures.

Trinidad Neue™️ is a geohumanistic typeface developed by the Chilean Type Design Studio Sudaca. The origin of this work lies in an exercise of comparing classic Roman proportions (Trajan Columns) with the capital letter set of Futura by Paul Renner. Cruickshank is a decorative typeface from the late Victorian period. The upper case includes several letters with swash strokes, extending well below the baseline, as found in the original design. Alternatives to the swash caps are provided. The lower case contains small caps of simpler design. The face was designed by William W. Jackson and released by MacKellar, Smiths and Jordan Type Foundry of Samson Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1886. MS&J was founded originally as Binny & Ronaldson in 1796 and later known as The Johnson Type Foundry. Cruickshank has a strong late Victorian flavor without the extravagance of so many fonts of the period. In its simplicity and clarity, it may be seen as a precursor to the Art Nouveau style that would develop a decade later.

Mr Gabe is a high-contrast serif typeface with vertical stress, a “modern” face in traditional type terms. Even in the regular weight, the contrast between thick and thin strokes is very obvious. Designer Andrea Leksen has given many of the lowercase letters ball terminals, teardrop shapes that make Mr Gabe seem decorated even when most of its letter forms are conservative.
