The font name comes from the Dutch word "Rijk" meaning "rich". I'd like you to consider Rijk as a good Pinot Noir: medium bodied, offering succulent juicy berry flavors, accentuated by delicate aromas of coffee and vanilla oak. Ruby red in color, it boasts of velvety tannins and a long fulfilling fruity aftertaste. Rijk has a structure that is delicate and fresh. The aromatics are very fruity like cherry, strawberry, and plum, often with notes of tea-leaf, damp earth, or worn leather… My intent was to create a script that is rich, while not overbearing. It will serve many noble and useful purposes because of its fresh and lively texture. It is also very legible because it has a slightly more upright angle. Mr Lucky is Mr Happy's slab brother and a hand-drawn narrow typeface designed for one of our books. You can layer different styles over the background style to achieve lots of colorful effects. Use just one style to get a single color letter or set Fill over Background or Stripped Background to get a two color mode. Mr Lucky has upper and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs and special alternate uppercase diacritics. Build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). Introducing Terrapin! I named this after listening to a song called "Terrapin on a Tightrope." Considering the fact that a terrapin is a kind of turtle, it makes that song title seem pretty harrowing! This font has heavy roots in one of my favorite lettering styles. It's rough, scrappy, and likes to do its own thing. It has a full uppercase and lowercase set, numbers, punctuation, and lots of extended Latin characters for language support. It also includes alternate versions of 17 lowercase letters. Where Terrapin really shines is in the ligatures. I've written separate two- and three-letter combined forms for some of the most common letter combinations, and a few uncommon ones to boot. There are almost 100 ligatures in here, all PUA-encoded so everyone can access them (and also coded so if your software does automatic ligature replacement, they'll pop right in).
