Designed by Gennady Fridman and released by ParaType in 2008. This is a fully connected script font, not calligraphic, but entirely designed to follow handwritten cursive ligatures rules as teached in schools. In order to correctly visualize it, you have to enable OpenType features (Contextual Alternates, Discretionary Ligatures, Standard Ligatues and Kerning). Trying to write All Capitals will generate Block Letters writings, since cursive style doesn't allow more than the first uppercase per word, however this font is not meant to be a Block Letters font. Before the mid-to-late 1970s, when retailers started to embrace UPC (universal price code) technology on a grand scale, pricing merchandise took on many forms. One method especially popular with variety stores (such as Woolworth's, McCrory's, Kress, etc.) were pre-printed price tags that came in small pads and were inserted into metal holders. Shelf Tags JNL recreates a vintage price tag based on examples seen online, and allows the user different ways to create their own vintage-style price tags. You can either utilize the round pen nib style numbers and price marks to place on any size or type tag, or type out prices using the reversed characters (white on black) along with the two end caps provided to form a complete tag unit. For the more adventurous, a complete blank tag is also provided in case the desire is to print a solid color tag background and [using the regular numbers] crate prices in custom colors. Two sets of smaller number (for "floating" cents prices) are also provided in regular numbers and reverse panels. Haarlem, designed by Leslie Cabarga, was inspired by the sort of marks you get when you write with a flat-headed magic harger. There are two fonts in the Haarlem family, White and Black. Haarlem White is an outlined, shadowed version of Haarlem Black.

It is not only coarse but extremly black, and it is quite right to name it Black Letter in English. Ernst Schneidler, the designer, created the smallest possible counters. Still, this very coarse black letter is sensitive in detail and drawn with a high level of aesthetics. By the way, it was said in Schneidler's design class in Stuttgart that his number one student Walter Brudi had cut some of the characters with �silhoutte scissors� from black paper. Newland is a blocky typeface inspired by Rudolf Koch’s calligraphic Neuland.

Wooden font block. Taken from the typesetting department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. All the letters were printed on paper, scanned and polished on the computer. It’s very detailed font, which are suitable for large prints.

The design is influenced by the geometric style sans serif faces which were popular during the 1920s and 30s. The JT Marnie font family is well suited for headlines and small blocks of text, particularly in advertising and packaging.

The second volume of the Robbins Music Corporation's "Hollywood Song Folio" features the word "Hollywood" lettered in a condensed block style with inline, strongly reminiscent of sports or college-themed typography. This was the inspiration for Winning Team JNL.

Tudor Perpendicular is Greater Albion's seasonal Black letter release (not that we rule out the possibility of non-seasonal ones...) for 2012. As the name suggests, it is a design which emphasises, and yes, exaggerates for effect, the perpendicular up and down nature of Black Letter typefaces. There's no particular historical basis for this one - straight out of our own minds, just as a lot of Black letter 'revivals' have been over the years. Come and visit 'Ye Olde' world today...

British designer David Quay originally created Titus Light in 1984. A serif design, Titus Light is a wide, curvy, and round typeface that is best used in larger point sizes.
