Visum means Visa in Dutch. The name was inspired by Dutch soccer club Vitesse's rather sad decision to leave Israeli player Dan Mori behind, after he was refused a UAE visa because of his nationality. Visum font is a tall and proud all caps typeface. It comes with alternates for the lower case letters, some ligatures and an impressive language support. Of course, upper and lower case glyphs can be freely interchanged.

The ITC Klepto™ typeface from Phill Grimshaw is a hunkered down, bulldog blunt design. It's bold, rough around the edges, and more than a little quirky. ITC Klepto's extended character set, however - which even includes Greek and Cyrillic designs - makes the face a versatile international player. Ancient Olympian god of the sea, brother of Zeus; Poseidon is the bearer of a trident, the three pronged spear of tunny fishers and is drawn along by monstrous sea creatures-half horse, half serpent. Around him travels an entire retinue of dolphines, nereids, seals and different spirits of the sea. Likewise, the Poseidon font family is accompanied by the waved serifs and flourishes that enable its character to retell these ancient Greek myths.

The name of this typeface is a hymn to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The home arena to the World's most beautiful football club – AS ROMA. A club with many great players through the years. The biggest of them all, is already a living legend… Francesco Totti. The design is a 2-weight family perfect for elegant display work. The regular weight is more even in blackness while the bold weight carry more contrast.

Pixel Promise is my wannabe pixel font. Yes, it is not a pixel font…but it is handmade and the “pixels” are deliberately off here and there. Nevertheless, when typing with Pixel Promise, you get that retro gaming feeling, and before you know it, you feel like you just want to insert another coin, press 1 or 2 players and complete that level! :) I have added 5 different versions of each letter and multilingual support

Morro is based on simple geometric shapes – circles, triangles and rectangles. Imagine cutting circles, triangels and rectangles from paper and arranging them into letters where the outer edges form a filled figure. Arranging figures like this to form letters is nothing unique. You can find several beautiful examples of alphabets that inspired the creation of Morro. Everywhere from a 1936 booklet by Draughtsman called ”Modern lettering for all branches of commercial arts” to obvious examples is from the paragon of the design industry - Milton Glaser - with his typeface Baby Teeth. What sets Morro apart from other digitized versions of Glasers' ”Baby teeth”, or other similar designed fonts, is that Morro is expanded into lower case and also supports Basic latin, Western European, Central European, south Eastern European and Pinyin. There are also stylistic alternatives to some of the glyphs. Morro Regular works like a stencil and is accompanied by a block shadow style and an outline. The Morro family of fonts are layered and can be superimposed on each other to create several types of text effects.

Futurette is a large weight family, covering all your needs for futuristic or sport projects, logos and others. Each style comes with 409 glyphes and can be used for Display titling, but in text also well. It was inspired by a bunch of 70's and 80's types like Handel Gothic or the ITC Bolt, and more recent faces like Typodermic's Conthrax and Good Times...

Scrawny Cat is a bit of an unusual font: it was made with a brush and some China ink and has no real baseline. It is messy yet legible and in a strange way beautiful. I bought a pair of green gumboots (or Wellingtons) the other day. I have a little wilderness outside and it is quite muddy, so I thought a pair of boots would be a good buy. Oxford was designed by Arthur Baker for Agfa Compugraphic in 1989. A calligraphic typeface with a slight incline, fine lines, and delicate serifs, Oxford is easily identified by its quirky lowercase b. Oxford is a functional display type for headings, announcements, and brochures that also works for setting small amounts of text, such as ad copy.

Stevens Titling refers to the classic Roman alphabet as it appears on the Trajan column and numerous other monuments. With its realistic brush strokes, it shows the letterforms as they might have been sketched on the marble before the stonecutter reached for his hammer and chisel. The four fonts that constitute the Stevens Titling suite are named after animals — badger, boar, sable and wolf –, each known for the specific character of its hairs when used to make painting brushes. Sable Brush is the most formal and elegant, with solid forms which show no obvious trace of the handdrawn brush stroke; it comes with a set of small capitals for those classical titles preferred by Hollywood. In fact, each of these fonts would do a great job as a film title and poster font. The Badger Brush variant is compact and firm; Boar Brush is dramatic, and in Wolf Brush each part of the letter is made up of realistic, dry strokes.

Équipage is a French word meaning ‘crew’. It is used for the crew on boats, airplanes, but it also applies to horse-drawn carriages and all that goes with it. Originally the word means ‘to fit out’ and it is probably derived from the Norse word ‘skipa’, which means ‘arrange, fit out a ship’. Then, if you’re really interested, the word ‘ship’ hails from this same word, just like the Danish ‘skib’, Middle Dutch ‘ship’, Dutch ‘schip’ and German ‘Schiff’. See? You learn something every day! Équipage is a really nice, handmade serif font. It is quite elegant and would look fantastic on labels, postcards and book covers. Black Pearl is a revival of an ornate calligraphic font possibly created between 1850 and 1870. I spent two years looking for all the letters of this font; once I found them all, I immediately went to work on recreating this old classic. I was not able to find any numbers for the font, so new to this style are numbers, some punctuation and currency symbols. The Truetype and OpenType formats include an extended character set with Central and Eastern European accented letters. Extra characters in this font are left and right pointing hands in place of the less than and greater than keys; a ship’s wheel, located on the asterisk key; and a boat anchor on the bracket keys.

A clean, symmetrical and modern typeface. The font (previously named "Heimat Grotesk") was developed by Florian Klauer for display and body copy application. What stands out about this font is it's large x-height and constant line-weight. Nearly all letters bend with a continuous unfaltering style, giving the impression all letters are cast from the same mold. Florin Sans comes with two weights plus matching italics with 268 glyphs each, and is available as TrueType and OpenType font.

Once upon a time (a.ka. 1984), there was a Goth band who called themselves "Hemingway's Shotgun." As a symbol of his commitment to this band, the bass player acquired a tattoo of a shotgun on his forearm. Unfortunately, this tattoo wasn't very well drawn: the barrel was much too short, and was much thinner at one end than the other. The tattoo rather resembled a small, cordless, rechargeable hand-held vacuum cleaner. Thus, the band "Hemingway's Dustbuster" was born.

Mr Dum Dum was designed for our game – Ba Ba Dum. In Ba Ba Dum players can learn words in different languages, so we needed a typeface that can support not only all latin characters but also Cyrillic, Greek and two Japanese syllabaries – Hiragana and Katakana. Eventually we wanted to add Chinese support so we designed 1314 Simplified Chinese characters – just enough to cover all words available in Ba Ba Dum plus necessary logograms to translate the games UI.

William Caslon established the first major English typefoundry, re-creating earlier Dutch designs with excellent craftsmanship, color and rhythm. Caslon Old Face is one of many faithful revivals; the original matrices (from many hands; the lowercase of the 48 point is Moxon’s 1669 Great Canon) survive at Stephenson Blake. George Ostrochulski adapted this design for photocomposition at Mergenthaler with skill and understanding.

Blackfriars, a Victorian-era release from the Stephenson Blake Type Foundry, provided the basis for this rough-hewn gem. Slightly clumsy yet eager to please, this typeface adds a cheerful warmth to any project it graces.
