Kenza is a serif geometric font, which is inspired by letterpress printing. Hand crafted wood letters used in the mid-20th century. It is characterized by being large, bold poster-block movable type.

A sample of monogram lettering entitled "Style 204 - Modern Block" (probably circa 1940s) yielded the thin Art Deco alphabet model for Dress Shirt JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The geometrical drawing of Fenomen Slab follows the guidelines set by our other font family Fenomen Sans. This is my version of the classic DIN 1451 Mittelschrift, complete with a large multilingual character set. Kevlar was initially inspired by an obscure logo discovered in a 1960s radio-fan magazine. Of immediate interest was that the upper half of the typeface appeared to be a sans while the lower half appeared as a curious blend of a slab serif imbued with a script-like quality. First came Kevlar Bold in 2003, closely followed by its text weight companion Kevlar Regular. The original source of the inspiration as then revisited to develop the third in the set, Kevlar Slab, a truly individual mix of script-like fluency with the heavy weight base of a slab serif.

As a kid I used to write my favourite football teams name with 3D letters over and over again. I grew up with the ‘Save The Whales’ slogan: I remember watching the news and seeing little Greenpeace dinghies taking on huge Japanese whalers, and activists clinging on for dear life.
