The Hybi14-Boldie is a bold Script in two styles. It’s lack of excessive details makes it appropriate for all oportunities of headlines, slogans and advertising. It’s friendly and charming character makes it pleasant to look at. The fonts are offering a huge character set for usage in many languages. Also thousands of kerning pairs within each style are obligatory.

This font is based on a lot of the downtempo culture in Paris. Smoky bars, jazz clubs, that sort of thing. How a font can be influenced by intangibles is a question that I can't quite answer, but I can say that when I created it, it strongly reminded me of a couple of times spent in Paris back in the mid-90s.

Chelsnuts was inspired by old Art Deco typefaces used in poster art back in the 1920s. Yet, in addition it has a playful side that makes it unique to the sharp letterforms typically seen in similar ultra-thick typefaces. Also included are lowercase letters, not typically seen in fonts such as this, and a customized outlined version of the font.

Ornata C is the third of a series of old ornaments that I am trying to save from oblivion. I am not just scanning these, I am completely redesigning the ornaments from scratch, thereby eliminating imperfections. These ornaments have been first designed by a designer named Ben Sussan. Aesthet Nova is a display type family. Released initially as Aesthet in 2015, it had a significant makeover. Inspired by the 70’s aesthetics, Aesthet Nova remains true to its original "back to nature" roots. It is a smooth talker with a larger than life personality. British designer David Quay originally created Titus Light in 1984. A serif design, Titus Light is a wide, curvy, and round typeface that is best used in larger point sizes.

In spite of its angular appearance, Origami is composed almost exclusively of curves. Designer Carl Crossgrove derived the typeface from experiments in designing a low resolution type. The resulting face is reminiscent of Eastern European expressionist designers such as Oldrich Menhart and Vojtech Preissig. It is paired with an equally angular chancery italic. Origami works effectively for short blocks of text or at display sizes, while the capitals are especially suitable for titles.

Gaslon is a slight reinterpretation and major expansion of a 1973 film type called Corvina Black, originally designed for VGC by A. Bihari. While the original typeface was popular in its own right, there were some things in it that were too quirky to work in the display applications it was intended for. Some of the letter combinations just didn't work to their visual optimum. For example the a and o were too similar, ditto the C and G, the E, F and J were too overwhelming to be set properly within certain display uses. Gaslon eliminates these problems by the inclusion of plenty of alternates for the vast majority of the original letters. In fact, the original a is itself now an alternate to a gorgeous new one. The Gaslon Alt font includes tremendous possibilities for both unicase use, and proper use in conjunction with the main font. This is our true homage to a typeface that had great potential more than three decades ago, but was overlooked by digitizers because of a few quirks it had in film type contexts. Full of curves and invitation, Gaslon ranks very high among the friendliest poster faces ever made. It is ideal for friendly store signs, children book covers, and plenty of other applications. In fact, if you're planning on contributing to a few protests around your neighborhood or city, you would probably be better off using Gaslon to help your sign/placard carry words and slogans that are big but friendly. Here is a decorative condensed antique design that is sure to fit a variety of contemporary situations. The Bruce Type Foundry (later acquired by V. B. Munson) developed this wonderfully shaded Tuscan in the 1880s - or possibly earlier. It was known back then as Style No. 1050 and carried a pronounced three-dimensional look with a thin hairline at the bottom and right of each stroke. Using it is extremely simple - for instance into the text-box below type TBA for Treble Bass Alto Clefs, or 234567 for the basic Time Signatures from 2/4 up to 7/4, or L for the Lines. Essentially it’s a cut-down and slightly modified version of our Blank Manuscript font, (which is fairly comprehensive for more advanced scoresheets but obviously a bit more complex) and uses a similar intuitive method for inputting characters. There’s plenty of examples provided, plus a short guide explaining the character layout, which is extremely easy. Download the zip to get the guide and examples, and only install one version - either OTF or TTF, but not both.
