Grundee is a grungy serifed face. It is sloppy and irregular but still quite legible. It was one of several efforts to draw a serifed typeface by pen; see also SarahfSlob, which contains a complete family of styles.

This sanserif has 18 faces from Light to the Black Italic. Conqueror Sans keeps the vigorous design peculiar to all members of this family, but at the same time it is more neutral, than its having serifs relatives.

The new OpenType font Shrub feels like a printed, textural typestyle, influenced by the great slab-serif fonts of the 20th century and organic, messy effects of old Xerox copiers. You might call this one a “multi-messter font” because it not only comes grainy and coarse, but also features a special stylistic alphabet set to add extra schmutz as you see fit. Users of Adobe’s Creative Suite applications can access this feature as either “Stylistic Set #1” in InDesign or “Stylistic Alternates” in Illustrator. The extra blotches can be turned on or off as you see fit. Put a little organic texture mixed with old-school legibility to make you flyers and other designs look like they were really printed! Shrub speaks with a compelling, grounded personality in a voice that’s easy to read.

The first Grippo sketches were done in the 1980s, but only now does it see the light of day as a complete series of interchangeable, layerable fonts. The original single-font concept was simple enough: Double the stems so they become sturdy handles. But then we elected to add more playfulness and versatility to the idea. By separating the main idea’s layers and producing them as individual fonts, layerability is achieved, and endless possibilities of play and variation arise. Lil Milton is full of energy and excitement, like the blues legend that inspired its name. Irregular counters (and irregular outlines!) creates a dissonant harmony of form and function. Stretch it, but don't condense it for a righteous look. Lil Milton is the perfect companion to Adobe Myriad Tilt.

This is a "Grunge" style font that looks as if it was overexposed on film. It is funky yet still very readable. It is best used in sizes over 12 points but really looks cool when used over 16 points. This is a favorite for use in video graphics.

Ever seen a zombie starfish? No? Well, neither have I. But this font actually comes close! Zombie Starfish, despite its name, is quite a happy cartoon font. It comes in three styles (regular, eroded and dots), plus accompanying italics. Use it for book covers, seafood restaurants or packaging.

Edgar No. 9 is an original design by Alex Kaczun. Edgar No. 9 is a derivative work based on his Big Boy typeface series. It was designed specifically for display headlines, logotype, branding and similar applications. Primarily a display, this extremely versatile font has generous proportions, large counters and loose fitting which also allow the font to work well across a wide range of text sizes. Edgar No. 9 is a heavy baroque slab serif and although it shares the underling skeleton of 'Big Boy', it is a much more compact in overall proportions and spacing. A handsome bold headline font that works well in text as well as display sizes—ideally suited for publications and advertising. Alex plans to expand the font series to include a large range of weights along with corresponding italics numbering 1 thru 9, as well as, true small capitals and old style figures. The one was stand out was Capital Swash, it’s replacing the First letter that typed on Capital. even if you are type with all caps, it still stand out. If you think that all caps are not quite fit, write on with lowercase and turn on the features of Small Caps, a shape of capital but with lower heights. Lowercase also have a few make up with Alternate Characters, just to be noted, not all lowercase characters have an alternates, to keep a luxury feel and avoiding messy. The last are a feature on the numerical, Ordinals, Subscript, Superscript, and Fraction.

Over the years, I've used Impact a lot. But, not because I liked it—rather because it was the only font I could find with the bulk I needed for a given title or whatever. I finally decided to make my own. It was originally built off Librum Sans Bold, but I quickly made a mask of Impact for the widths, bumped the x-height way up, made the horizontals much heavier, and on and on. You know how it is when you start designing. The result is a black sans with the bulk of Impact and much more interesting character shapes. I suspect I'll use it a lot. Gabriel Sans is a font family inspired by the original Sans Serif fonts of the Transitional age like Futura and Grotesk, but with a modern twist. It is clean, elegant and straight-to-the-point. Devin is designed mainly for the benefit of the advertising industry, and it surely is a nice typeface for headings, isn't it? And you should see what a nice body type it makes! I had no other typeface in mind when working with it, but I can now find several typefaces it is related to. It reminds of the egyptienne group, but I did't really plan that. The name Devin is taken from my birth region. There is a castle with that name on the northern Adriatic coast (known even from Rilke's Duino elegies - Duino is another name of the same castle). A castle ruin called Devin, too, can be found on a height above the Danube in Slovakia, not far away from its capital Bratislava. Devin was released in 1994.

Shesek is an informal, loose, handwritten font without any frills. It is deceivingly plain, but when you use it, you will find out that Shesek has a distinct taste, not unlike its namesake, the Japanese plum, or Loquat. The Loquat is a soft, oval, yellow fruit which is grown mostly in Japan and Israel (where it is called ‘Shesek’).

Retail Script was designed by Vince Whitlock in 1987. It is a font with strong, dynamic base forms and very small ascenders and descenders, which makes a closed, solid overall image. Cutlass was just for fun. A year ago or so [2009, maybe], someone on typophile showed a scan of the word "Ciruelo". I liked it. Those were the only letters I had and no one ever came up with the name of the original font that I saw. It doesn't matter as I went far afield as I designed, as usual. It's just a swashbuckling bit of fun. OpenType 476 Glyphs from my usual set minus the superior and inferior figures. Enjoy!
