A cool font which is a bit like a comic font. It makes me remind of graffiti.

I don’t live in the mountains, so when we go on holiday and visit the mountains, we always like to hear the echo! A bit childish, I know, but that’s how it is. Background Echo is a very nice, handmade, all caps font. It’s not exactly a laser-cut design; glyphs are a bit uneven, wobbly in places and have their own idea of what they should look like. That, my dear potential customers, is the charm of a hand made font! The P22 Mystic font knows all. Aside from allowing for type design in a faux eastern script, this font peers into the world of the spirits for guidance and enlightenment. Sure it has small caps and ligatures as OpenType features, but it also has a special “oracle” feature which will answer your most mystifying questions. The design itself was based on an actual Ouija board. Somehow the spirits became embedded into the font itself and now when a question is typed, an answer is revealed—provided the Contextual Alternates feature is enabled. It is not known how the otherworldly harbinger was able to integrate into OpenType scripting, but who are we mere mortals to question this power? Ask and ye shall be amazed! Only the Opentype Pro version will offer the “Magic Eight-Ball” feature. It also contains the small caps and old style figures as found in both TT and PS versions of the fonts.

The 1928 logotype for Sertal Toiletries consisted of a stylized woman's head, a very snaky S, and five fine, fat deco caps spelling out the rest of the brand name. From these five clues, designer Nick Curtis divined the rules" of the typeface and drew a complete alphabet, including a lower case. The result: ITC Scram Gravy. The finished product could be described as Bodoni on steroids. Tight curls in characters like the 'm,' 'r' and 'y' soften the lower case and give the design a light-hearted flavor. ITC Scram Gravy takes its name from one of many running gags in the screwball comic strip "Smokey Stover," which had folks alternately splitting their sides and scratching their heads from 1935 to 1973. Since I designed Mommie you can see a lot of script typefaces with big contrast for big sizes. With Narziss I created a roman interpretation with the very expressive Swirls version. Glenda is again an italic script like Mommie. In the Regular the characters join and it looks like a neatly written sprencerian handwriting. But like Narziss it has got a Swirls version too. Every glyph and swirl is carefully designed to work in every connection. Use Glenda at only very large sizes.

Mouser has been an ongoing project that originated as a geometric sans of the same name before morphing into a similar, but entirely different family called TypoGraphica. It retains much of its earlier character such as limited contrast, high legibility, and tight spacing. Major changes were made for a simplistic, more cohesive look. This was done to maximize its usefulness for body text while keeping characteristics used for display purposes. Slices to top strokes are much more subtle with styling dialed down to a minimum. Ckornoments is a two-font family of corner ornaments that was inspired by decorative grave ornaments. Similar ornaments can be found on old furniture and woodwork. Almost all ornaments come in sets of four for placement top right and left and bottom right and left. The two fonts, solid and outline, are designed to be used in layers but can be used separately. In addition, ornaments that include flowers have one part of the design separated out so the original and separated characters can be layered to give bi-colored images (or tri-colored with an outline). These ornaments are suitable for posters, newsletters, personal notes, and on other types of documents that benefit from framing. In addition to serving as corners, the ornaments can also be used as dividers between sections of text.

It's extended. Somewhat. It's got all the characters. There's a plus. It's fully kerned. That's awesome! And it is rubbed down to the nub. Whuh??? That means it's highly distressed, manually eroded on my work bench. Tortured further to open the wounds using my bitmap editor. Tweaked lovingly and built up to even higher standards of distortion in my vector program. The end result is a font called Sinder. I've even included an "ash" effect. Using the bracket or brace left gives you ashes from left to right as you type your text. Finish your text with ash terminals by typing the bracket or brace right. But be careful. This font is a heavy duty downloader. Make sure all your programs are up to the task, especially before you go converting to vectors.
