Arioso was a part of the 1990 program Type before Gutenberg, which included the work of twelve contemporary font designers and represented styles from across the ages. The calligraphic style of Arioso stems from an early form of Old Face developed in the 14th and 15th centureis in Italy. It is a mixture of Roman capitals and Carolingian lower case.

The Artvod font family is a graduate project of Dusan Jelesijevic on the topic Museum of Digital Art. The whole project included a 15 minute interactive presentation through building of Artvod Museum, consisting of 15 posters and the font in two weights (Regular and Bold). The Artvod font family also appears in IndexBook's book Homage of Typography by Pedro Guitton.

Index is a sans serif font which gives an impression of both movement and harmony. The soft, round forms of this font give it an almost ornamental feel. The influence of American advertisement and poster typefaces of the turn of the 20th century is apparent. Index can be used as a headline or text font in small or larger point sizes.

Tshikona is casual and vigorous font with a taste of African spice. A "tunesmith" is one so nicknamed because the person or persons craft (compose) a song from scratch. When the area of Broadway known as Tin Pan Alley was in its heyday, every music publisher's office would have sounds emanating from the various cubicles of men and women trying for the next big hit. Sheet music was the main source of songwriter's royalties during those days, and to please the general public with a song destined to be a popular piece was a lofty goal. It's then only fitting that the lettering inspired by a 1920s-era piece of sheet music for a song called "Jerry" would be named Tunesmith JNL.

I don’t live in the mountains, so when we go on holiday and visit the mountains, we always like to hear the echo! A bit childish, I know, but that’s how it is. Background Echo is a very nice, handmade, all caps font. It’s not exactly a laser-cut design; glyphs are a bit uneven, wobbly in places and have their own idea of what they should look like. That, my dear potential customers, is the charm of a hand made font! Soleil, designed by Wolfgang Homola, is a geometric sans serif typeface. This was a creative experiment. Allowing minimal control, and a more eccentric outcome. It was a real slog, but totally worth it. As soon as my taxi driver took the bustling street Entre Ríos, it was clear that the city and I were going to be good friends. Many of the independently owned businesses on Entre Ríos are adorned with handmade signage. These signs are painted in a style called Fileteado which is a century-old Argentinian type of lettering and floral ornamentation. Nowadays, Fileteado is still a prominent part of the city’s landscape, coloring the façades of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Calaveras and Diablitos are two new typefaces that were inspired by Fileteado. Stylistically, the fonts are a return to a rhythmic and playful sensibility reminiscent of Vitrina and Cuba, two fonts that I designed in 1996. Along with dynamism and dance, these new fonts incorporate a rigor and functionality essential to labelling any font a ‘workhorse.’ The names Calaveras and Diablitos, came from the name of a song by the infamous Buenos Aires rock band, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. —Pablo A. Passport48 exclusively in otf. opentype format, originally debuted in 1997 as Passport, close to the beginning of the indie typographer boom. Almost 25 years have passed since it was introduced at MyFonts as PS1 and later in 2003 in TT TrueType.** It was designed by Joseph Coniglio of Coniglio Type as a revival. Historically, Passport was digitized from a shiny black enamel 1948 Royal Silent Deluxe portable. Kept on the ship of merchant marine, Captain John O’Learn, it was a salty manual typewriter with no intrinsic value as a collectable, even though it is awash as a work horse and a fine communicator of it’s time.. **NOTE: Little Passport family leaves the nest: The old weight variations, styles and formats have been eliminated to allow the original face to be stand alone, on its own attributes. For those purchasing their first typewriter fonts and to our diehard collectors as well, Passport presents a friendly new port-of-entry. The Buum typeface evolved from the explosive lettering originally designed as part of a house style for an interactive science centre for kids. Beside its usual application as a strong display font in print and on screen, the bold angular shapes of glyphs are adapted for negative machine- or laser-cutting into structural materials such as iron sheets, plywood, or stone ... and for creating tactile expressive surfaces and 3D objects. This pictogrammic and dazzling font remotely echoes the morphology of the lettering of futurism and constructivism, when avant-garde typography was once an exciting adventure. It is a lettering building kit with a number of stylistic alternatives of glyphs that enable a user to shape the same word differently each time. This four-piece family is the DIN design, but not as you know it. The famously, crisp, clean and precise typeface has been given a textured update that's reminiscent of rusted metal, or rubber stamps. Underneath this lies the same sturdy, geometric shapes that have allowed DIN to stand the test of time, but with a new sense of tangibility. “This kind of treatment is more about creating a feeling or a mood that goes beyond the communication of the words themselves,” explains Monotype Studio director Tom Rickner. “I think it expands the repertoire of what DIN Next can express.” Designed for display, these four typefaces – DIN Next Rust, DIN Next Shadow, DIN Next Slab Rust and DIN Next Stencil Rust – show a new side of DIN Next's personality, as if the surface of each letterform has been gradually worn away over the years.

This series of faces was designed initially by Morris Fuller Benton, circa 1900. The design is a refinement of Taylor Gothic from 1897. It features a sans serif thick and thin design with angular stems. Pre-dating art deco, this design feels quaint, yet it still has a touch of modernism. Frederic Goudy designed a bold version of Globe Gothic in 1905 for ATF. The Bold and Bold Italic digital versions have been added to the LTC library in early 2007.

Herald Banner is the newest (as at January 2017) of Greater Albion’s ‘Banner’ or ‘Masthead' typeface. It tales the form of letters on a long heraldic banner twined about a central mace. It is offered in two forms- a conventional monochrome typeface and a set of eight interrelated typefaces designated ‘Colour’ 1 through to ‘Colour 8’. These (and indeed the monochrome face) have identical metrics and can be overlaid to produce multi-coloured lettering with the bare minimum of effort.

Random Thoughts is a selection of of quite simple handmade capital letters. They are legible, almost mono-lined, handmade and they are a bit jumpy - but never the less, they suit a headline that needs a catchy look very fine! I've included 4 different versions of each letter. One lowercase, one uppercase and two contextual alternates. These 4 different versions automatically cycle as you type, leaving your text quite random - but still very clear and legible! And, of course, there is multilingual support!
