With this font, you are dealing with a gentle mixture of a basic handwritten font, a comic font and oldschool grafitti! The result is this steady, sometimes a bit off, but legible crunchy handwritten font!

I've had mixed feelings about Kabel; It is a brilliant headline font with a lot of character, but it's the characters I have problems with. The versions of all big foundries have the same flaws (in my opinion), especially lowecase a and s. So I finally went ahead and made an all new version. It is not Kabel, but very much like it. It has unique x-height, weight and width, and many individual characters are also different from the original.

Darker Marker is just what the name suggests: I found a very big fat marker in a local stationary store, bought it, came home and went to work on this font. Darker Marker is a very clear, very easy to read marker font. It is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be interchanged. Darth Vader would have said: “come to the dark side” and I believe you should. Darker Marker comes preloaded with all the diacritics you need.

I have always liked Scandinavian folklore, although I have to admit that I didn’t know about the Fossegrim. Fossegrim is a fiddle or harp playing water sprite - usually friendly, but he has been known to lure children and women in deep water with his music. Fossegrim font is a little bit weird as well: I made it using a broken bamboo satay skewer and Chinese ink. It comes with extensive language support and a set of alternates for the lower case letters.

Rasteroids Monospace is a typographic flashback to computing of the mid 1980s, when 9-pin dot-matrix printers were the state of the art, and most home computer displays were TVs hooked up to RF modulators. Rasteroids not only captures the dot-matrix printer look, but recreates the rasterized appearance of text on those lower-resolution monitors. Because of its fixed character width, Rasteroids Monospace is intended for use in accents or small areas of copy rather than long documents.

Acorde’s inception was in early 2005 as Stefan Willerstorfer’s final project in the Type and Media course at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (NL). It is a humanist sans serif with noticeable diagonal contrast and shows clear influences of the broad nib pen, especially in the Italics. Acorde’s characterful details give it a distinctive appearance in large sizes and contribute to its high legibility in small sizes. It comes in 14 styles – seven weights in Roman and Italic each. While the proportions of the Regular style were chosen to guarantee optimal legibility without being too space consuming, the heavier the weight gets the more suitable it is for headline purposes. The heavy weights are relatively narrower than the lighter ones, which gives them a strong appearance. The huge character set contains 925 glyphs per font and covers a vast range of latin-based languages. Various accented letters, small caps, eleven figure-sets, superscript and subscript are all included. OpenType features allow for a comfortable use of the large set. Acorde was honored with the 2010 Joseph Binder Bronze award for type design by DesignAustria.

Merengue Script is the second typeface designed by Panco, once again together with Ale Paul, who supervised the whole development. In this opportunity, the process of shape research and the systematization of signs led him to dive into new waters. The objective was to generate a system of signs in which the construction of such was not directly bound to traditional calligraphy, nor to texts typography. Instead, the point was to create signs inspired in “Brush pen” calligraphy but with their main features drawn or literally illustrated. The result was a font with personality, authenticity and uncommon formal aspects that make Merengue Script an interesting, highly attractive and rather unusual font. From the very beginning, the search was based on creating a font with weight and good presence in big formats, but, at the same time, efficient for brief texts of small formats. The aim was to make it usable mainly in candy, sweets and chocolate packaging. The predominance of round shapes, harmonious modulations and funny and friendly-looking visual rhythms spark a special effect in the usage of Merengue Script. Texts are enhanced with an interesting visual charm, capable of transforming a very simple text into a virtual illustration that semantically reinforces the messages in a simple way, without putting legibility at risk. With a basic set of stylistic alternatives full of frills and flounces for initials, ornamental and final letters, plus a set of disconnected signs, Merengue Script offers a wide and versatile range of options for graphic designers in the process of packaging design.

LaFarge is a typeface primarily inspired by the historic mosaic titling capitals found in the New York City Subway, designed by architect Squire J. Vickers and his staff between 1915-1927. These elegant but industrial signs are characteristic of early-20th century American architectural lettering, and show an evolution of the classical Roman capitals to lower contrast, bolder serifs, and more regular character widths. The majority of this lettering still remains in subway stations today, and though elements of the style vary from sign to sign, many carry the unique features that are reflected in LaFarge: high-waisted crossbars with angled serifs, elegantly curved “R” leg, and distinctive trapezoidal serifs. LaFarge expands this style into a lower case, taking cues from contemporary typefaces like Bookman, Cheltenham, and Della Robbia. A number of typographic features are included, such as small caps, ordinal indicators / superscript letters, arrows, and a set of borders inspired by early subway tile. The result is a fashionable, architecturally-minded typeface that is just as at home on the façade of a grand public building as it is on packaging, magazines, or the web. LaFarge works well in both text and display settings, remaining readable at small sizes but showing off its elegant details in larger uses. LaFarge has received the Communication Arts Typography Award, the ADC Annual Merit Award, is included in the 2020 STA 100, and was part of designer Greg Shutters’ winning portfolio in the 2019 Type Directors Club Ascender Awards. Domotika was first designed for Zetafonts by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini in 2018, trying to translate the modernist and humanist ideals into typographic form, looking for a conversation between the classical and the contemporary, the hand-made and the technological. Following the motto of Mies Van Der Roe and Gustave Flaubert ("God is in the details"), Domotika takes inspiration from architectural practice, with a pragmatic attention to functionality that doesn't forget aesthetics. If you were a grotesque in mid-20th-century Switzerland, you were expected to be serious and proper, if a little dull. Cassandra Plus is my revised version of Cassandra, it can now be used all over Europe except Greece and Russia. I changed the weights a bit to make them more distinct. The Font has two widths of letters, wide Capitals on the (shift) uppercase-keys and narrow ones on the (no shift) lowercase-keys. You can match them as you like, but you should avoid having the same letter in one word in two different widths. But if yoyu are really daring you can use one narrow S and a wide one, it might still look good. It will almost always look good! Cassandra is my “bow” to Adolphe Mouron Cassandre. Back in the nineties I had a deck of Tarot cards. It was part interest and part curiosity, but I also liked the look of them. My readings were just for fun; I thought it was all a joke, but when people started to return for more readings (because what I had predicted actually happened), I quit. That was way out of my comfort zone! Fortune Teller is a nice brush font. I made it with one of my late father in law’s Chinese brushes and ink. It comes with all diacritics and a set of alternate glyphs. If you buy this font, you will meet with a tall and handsome stranger and you will win the lottery. Guaranteed! Haha!

Stu is based on the penmanship of the late Raoul "Stu" Stuart. Raoul's penmanship was always admired by those who saw it; it was a first glimpse into the artistic and creative side of an otherwise easy-going, funny guy. The print variants exude a soft yet masculine feel, while the scripts evoke a sense of sentimentality and romance. German type designers Erik Spiekermann and Ole Schäfer created this sans FontFont between 1996 and 2000. At home we have a wood stove. Last year, I bought a whole bunch of tree trunks, which I cut up with a chainsaw and then chopped with my Swedish axe. In Holland we have a saying that firewood keeps you warm three times: when you cut the tree, when you chop the wood and when you burn it in the stove. Our stove is rather small, so it is not exactly a blazing furnace, but I liked the name because it seems to fit this font. Blazing Furnace was made with ink and a brush. It is a bit messy and rough, but it comes with multilingual support and a nice set of alternates for the lower case letters.

Trithemius, a 15th century Abbott, and influential counselor to Emperor Maximilian I, was also an author who wrote both histories and the first printed work on cryptography which gained him much adverse notoriety. He has been long regarded as a mystic and some of his works were therefore banned. However, it may have been his intention to cloak his cryptology essays in mystical writing to keep people from easily grasping the subject matter, which it has been recently demonstrated, at heart was really cryptological methodology. This font is based on a printed version of the Polygraphiae -- a text that included many methods of encryption. The examplar for this font in that text was described as anothor method of Alchemists recording secrets.

Lately I have been thinking about rabbits. Not that I have a particular love for rabbits - they’re cute, but also kind of stupid. But as Christmas dinner is approaching, I see more rabbit carcasses lining the shelves of supermarkets. These poor animals never saw the light of day, never felt the grass between their paws and never had a ‘true life’. In honour of the hundreds of thousands of rabbits being slaughtered for Christmas this year, I have named this font: Rabbit Escape. Rabbit Escape is a slightly back-slanted typeface - handmade with a permanent marker I bought in Japan. It is quite unusual, maybe a bit weird, but it will serve you well. Comes with a generous stuffing of diacritics.
