In 1966 and 1967 a series of weird events spooked Point Pleasant, a small town in West Virginia. Nothing is more iconic of Paris than its antique Metro signs, which are the inspiration for this typeface. The signs vary from station to station, some featuring plain block capitals, others the most exquisite Art Nouveau. This example falls somewhere in between. and should inject a strong gallic flavour into any design or publishing project. Gorodets is a symbol font based on traditional wood-painting style from the town Gorodets on Volga river, Russia. The main motifs of it are decorative flowers, birds, horses and even people, drawn in special way and painted in black, red, blue and green. The Gorodets typeface consists of 60 manually traced images divided into two parts: filled and empty ones. This quasi-Chancery classic is a revival of Walter MacKay’s Heritage typeface, made for ATF in 1952. Walter is clean and legible free-flowing calligraphy with a subdued, conservative and traditional letterform base that can be used in large sizes for posters, covers and packaging, as well as in relatively small sizes for personalized letters, poetry and quotables. Walter comes with 430 glyphs and support the majority of Latin-based languages. Plenty of alternates and ligatures are sprinkled throughout the font.

The Slatz Font Family is Vertical. It has a slender, consistent weight that is best used in limited, left to Right, space limitations as to maximize font height. Slatz font variations all have extremely clean edges and even the serif versions are crisply defined with a flat-pointed serif for an added unique character. The designed intent was for a tight kern, however evenly letterspacing these family members give a distinct personality and continues to command the negative space just as in tight kerned examples. The compatible relationship of these font family members, serif to sans serif, and regular to italic is seamless and the overall design coloring of words as sentences is well balanced and extremely legible. The Slatz Family fonts are matching members glyph to glyph yet there is a noticeable difference between the serif and sans serif members. The sans serif works in contemporary and vintage settings. The serif members work particularly well in vintage, period applications. The Bold and Drop versions of Slatz also fit the above descriptions and also work on their own.
