Armavir by Fontazy is an uppercase type-family consisting of three gradually distressed sub-families Armavir 01, Armavir 02 and Armavir 03 (each in Regular and Bold weights) and Shadow (also in Regular and Bold). Armavir is a sans serif font with a slight touch of handmade. Each typeface contains stylistic alternate version of vowels -A, -a, -E and -e, that converting uppercase font in unicase(-ish). The Shadow style is suitable for each of three text styles. Being a duplicate of the text layer, it gives an additional decorative appearance to the text. All fonts in the family has Latin (West, Central and Baltic) and Cyrillic encoding. Armavir is perfect for logo making, print design, advertising, branding etc.

Modeled on the writings chiseled in stone in the second century B.C., Syntax™ Lapidar is an energetic, spirited typeface designed by Hans Eduard Meier in 2000. Linotype Syntax Lapidar Text and Linotype Syntax Lapidar Serif Text have five weights each, with both cap and lowercase letterforms. Lapidar Display and Lapidar Serif Display also have five weights each, with mostly all cap letterforms and many alternates. It's a terrifically fun and inventive family, and if you look closely, you can see the resemblance to the more modern and restrained Syntax™ relatives. Kamerik 105 is inspired by the classic, geometric sans-serifs such as Futura and Avant Garde, but has shallower ascenders and descenders for a more compact look. It's a versatile, modern sans, highly legible as a text font and with a clean, elegant look as a display font at larger sizes. It includes old style non-aligning (lower case) numbers, both proportional and tabular and accented characters for Central European languages. The Kamerik 105 family comprises of six weights, and is closely related to Kamerik 205. The most notable differences between the two variations, are the single-storey lower case a and g in Kamerik 105, where they are two-storey in Kamerik 205.

With electronics taking over virtually every aspect of manufacturing, packaging and shipping, it's almost difficult to envision a time when wooden crates were marked for identification by using brass stencils. Many of these stencils were hand-cut or manufactured with special punches that perforated the brass sheets with pre-formed letters and numbers. GREISSLER is a Retro Display Font inspired by old letterings on store fronts and building facades in Vienna. "Greißler" is a term used in the east of Austria and means small grocer. In Vienna you can still see some of the letterings "Lebensmittel", "Feinkost", etc. on the storefronts of mostly abandoned shops. Similar letters can be found on "Gemeindebauten" (council housing) from the 1920s.

It’s not often a vintage cartoon can inspire a type design, but such is the case when the name “Daffy Duck” is hand lettered on a mailbox in the 1946 Warner Brothers cartoon “The Great Piggy Bank Robbery” (famously being a send-up of the popular Dick Tracy comic strip by Chester Gould). This delightful dervish is based on handlettering from a 1928 poster for a steamship line by renowned British artist Austin Cooper. It’s essentially a monocase font, with the exception of the letter A, which twirls in one direction in uppercase, and the opposite direction in lowercase. Song Publisher JNL features a design based on the 1945 Art Deco-era hand lettered sheet music title "When the Old Gang's back on the Corner (Singin' Sweet Adeline Again)". It's a good thing sheet music wasn't sold by the word count found in song titles, because this twelve word example would have been more costly than titles such as "Nola", "Tenderly" or "Ciribiribin".

Some vintage 1960s-era packaging for dive gear (masks, swim fins, etc.) manufactured by the Voit division of AMF had various merchandise boxes hand-lettered [with some variation of design] in an interesting sans stencil. These packages formed the inspiration of Dive Gear Stencil JNL. Thanks once again to Gene Gable, whom on many occasions has provided Jeff Levine material for type design inspiration.
