Albiona Inked is a vintage distressed version of Albiona that evokes the urgency of teletext printers, typewriter ribbons and authentic hot-metal type on rougher paper. A contemporary slab-serif, it revisits aspects of Robert Besley’s classic Clarendon, designed around 1842 for Thorowgood and Co. and named after the Clarendon Press in Oxford. Subsequently extended by Stephenson Blake in the 1950s, Albiona adds the inwardly-curved stroke terminals of the same foundry ’s Grotesque series, and includes italics and old-style and tabular numerals. The original Clarendon’s ball serifs and calligraphic eccentricities have been rationalised and streamlined for functional contemporary uses. The family consists of five weights plus italics and a stencil, and its clean readable style is perfect for both extended text as well as headline setting. A rounded “soft” version is also available.

Sond is a casual, modern and hand brushed font. I've designed Sond carefully with the intention to preserve in its glyphs the original tell-tale dry brush imperfections and a bouncy baseline for a more personalized effect even more authentic. As an exclusively Open Type release, with 519 glyphs and ornaments, it has special alternatives for all letters with lots of possibility an infinity of combinations. There are plenty of options to allow you to create something unique and special: standard ligatures, swashes and stylistics alternates for each letter, beginning and ending letters. Hisham is a modern Arabic headline face, designed by the Lebanese calligrapher, Ahmed Maged, originally for Linotype-Hell Ltd. The Hisham design has a distinctive style with a strong baseline, relieved by strategic cut-away effects, which is counterbalanced by the bold vertical strokes and some strong diagonals. This somewhat compact font adds a new style to the range of Linotype’s Arabic headline fonts. This OpenType font includes Latin glyphs from Optima Extra Black, allowing users to set text in both most Western European and Arabic languages without switching between fonts. Hisham incorporates the Basic Latin character set and the Arabic character set, which supports Arabic, Persian, and Urdu. The font also includes tabular and proportional Arabic, Persian, and Urdu numerals, as well as a set of tabular European (Latin) numerals.

The original typeface was designed by Albert Kapr between 1971 and 1973 for Typoart in Dresden. Kapr was the font designer and teacher as well as book author on type design of former East Germany. He also was an expert on this kind of type design, and thus, it is no surprise that he created Leipziger Antiqua, a design combining features of both Latin and broken scripts. urgle Jock is actually two fonts in one: The Regular version is a classic handmade sans and the Outline version is…well, an outlined version of the Regular - however, I made it a bit off-grid and hasty scribbled looking. The two versions works well as they are and even greater together!

Electrical Tape is a mono-case display type. The idea came from generating custom letters using pieces of electrical tape. The over all design was then influenced by the graffiti subgenre as well as a hint of constructivist influence. Recommended applications of the font are for display purposes as well as digital media.

Carta Marina is based on the titling found on the famous map drawn by Olaus Magnus in 1539. The map of northern Europe took 12 years to complete, and the total size is a huge 1.7 meters tall by 1.25 meters wide. More information about the map, as well as the high resolution reference document used to create the typeface and illustration set can be found at the James Ford Bell Library, University of Minnesota. The titling is slightly aged, very sturdy and elegant. Carta Marina includes a full set of OpenType alternates for every character in the English alphabet, oldstyle figures, historical forms, small caps and 64 discretionary ligatures. These ligatures are used to alter the appearance of the type so that the printing appears realistic and without any duplicate letters to detract from the antique appearance. The Carta Marina family also includes some of the unique illustrations that gave the map its character. It includes depictions of fanciful sea creatures, land animals and some of the inhabitants of the lands pictured.
