Bombay is inspired by the colonial version of the city. The city being a melting pot of all kinds of people. These four typefaces, Berlinette NB, Lyonette NB, Marseillette NB and Parisette NB, were designed from the same basic shape, a fanciful geometric form that avoids strict horizontals and uses more offbeat triangular shapes. Berlinette is the medieval Gutenbergian version of the four. It’s like a weird black letter font from the 1930s. It would work well advertising an obscure brand of German beer on the side of a Zeppelin as it circles the soccer stadium during the last match. In a William Burroughs novel.

Despite the racially demeaning 1906 sheet music for "The Ghost of the Banjo Coon", the title's lettering provided an interesting hand-lettered sans serif that has been re-drawn digitally as Showmanship JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

The packing information stenciled on an antique wooden crate included a slab serif type style with chamfered corners. This design has now been re-drawn as the digital typeface Stencil Chamfer JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh's artwork has an art deco feel that has been reproduced on fabrics, jewellery and all sorts of household items. Now, with this font, you can add Mackintosh icons and letter tiles with just the touch of a key.

The pattern for this delightful gem was found in Dan X. Solo's "Rustic and Rough-Hewn Alphabets" book under the name "Antique No 14." For this font, the rough-hewn lines have been cleaned up, but the underlying fun remains.

Courant means "newspaper". Courant font was modeled on 17th century Dutch newspapers and most of the glyphs are authentic. The 'modern' glyphs, like @, $, €, * and several others have been designed by me, as they were not in use in the 1600's.

Designed for the seminal comics magazine of the same name, Revolver was one of Rian Hughes’ first typeface designs. Originally published as part of the FontFont range, it has now been remastered and includes full European glyph support and Opentype features.
