I want to create a font, which is very elegant. So I made Danizatti Script, a kind of classic decorative script with a modern twist. Konrad Kachelofen was a printer in the city of Leipzig beginning around 1483. He printed many works by contemporary authors and also many of the classics. He acquired an unusually large amount of typefaces for his shop, a place that included a wine bar and book store. This type face is based on Typ.11:340G GfT510 Gesamtkatalog der Wiegendrucke and is similar to Proportional Lime’s “Kachelofen'' font. The major differences are that the whole miniscule set is slimmer and the majuscule set has different style glyphs and this face was used solely for titles and section headings because of its sharper and clearer appearance at large point values. Konrad probably died in 1529 after passing his business on to his son-in-law Melchior Lotter, who also went on to fame as an industrious and illustrious printer.

Plumper than a misguided Z-lister's dodgy lip job, this is Quinella, named after the cheffy scoops of ice cream and the like, quinelles. It's a cute, fat script with a seventies vibe but a personality all of its own. It's non-connecting in the usual sense, but the letters overlap to make the white space as tiny as possible. Ligatures (standard and discretionary) make smoother solutions for quite a few pairs and trios, and every upper case letter has a more exuberant swash alternate. The contextual alternates feature substitutes in an alternate t for a better fit with certain letters. Fonts don't come much more voluptuous than this. The full-fat, creamy appearance makes it perfect for food packaging, but don't let it end there; it'll make memorable logos, unmissable headlines, and posters with more punch.

Stencil typefaces are popular because they are striking and decorative, and their associations - whether Utility, Travel, Vernacular, etc - are evocative. Anostencil is developed from, but not exactly like, our Ano typeface. Ano’s geometric skeleton, tweaked a bit, allows for a level of abstraction while retaining legibility. Some of Ano’s characters, such as the a, e, f and r, have been amended to make clearer, more graphic shapes when the stencil design has been applied. Different application of the stencil gaps in the letters make functional but decorative and expressive linear forms. This is particularly evident in Anostencil’s extended character set which features codified, semi abstract shapes. So the stencil design in Anostencil has been applied in not necessarily the most logical or immediate way, but in a way that makes each letter a striking and graphic shape.

Hollywood Revue JNL gets its design inspiration and name from a vintage movie poster for "The Hollywood Revue of 1929". The letter style shows early Art Deco influences, yet the hand lettering was done in the late 1920s toward the end of the Art Nouveau period. MGM produced this early "talkie" all-star musical with a cast that included Jack Benny, John Gilbert, Conrad Nagel, Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton, Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer, Polly Moran and many others. This is the motion picture where Cliff ("Ukelele Ike") Edwards introduced "Singin' in the Rain" (composed by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown). Years later, Freed was a producer at MGM and gathered up many of the songs he and Brown wrote during the 1920s to form the musical core of the 1952 Gene Kelly-Debbie Reynolds-Donald O'Conner musical "Singin' in the Rain".

PODIUM Sharp is Extended version of DUDU typeface designed in 2012. After many years I’ve decided to rebuild and develop this typeface by adding new masters and weights. Finally PODIUM Sharp consist of 234 styles: from ultra compressed hairline to extra expanded heavy. Main purpose of this project was idea to make hybrid between different modular and geometric woodtypes that I found in old polish specimens: Rex, Blok, Bacarat etc. Thanks to big range of different styles, PODIUM will be perfect choice for visual identities, posters and display usage. For better comfort of using PODIUM I’ve prepared new idea of styles naming based on Frutigres’s Universe and Climbing evaluation. First digit means width and the second weights of style. (So for example style 1.1 is ultra compressed hairline, 6.5 is something like regular and 9.13 is ultra expanded heavy.

Typefaces that are limited to a single character and stroke width suffer in terms of legibility. Farey's goal in drawing Cachet was to create a typeface that gives the illusion of monospacing, while delivering a subliminal dose of reader-friendliness. At first glance, Cachet appears to be constructed of straight and nearly-straight strokes. A closer look, however, reveals several subtleties. Curved strokes have an almost calligraphic spontaneity. Places where character strokes meet are tapered slightly, while stroke ends have been flared. These quiet deviations from geometric uniformity give the design a human, organic, and decidedly non-digital look. An added benefit is that the subtle design modulation benefits readability. Farey's subtle design modulation results in a legible and highly usable new typeface.

The font is based on an alphabet from a mid1920s art deco book. The original seemed to have tapering strokes but it was too small to be sure; I made all strokes parallel & orthogonal and slightly modified the original in a number of other ways to bring it into the 21st Century. The designers of the original were Paul Carlyle and Guy Oring. Nocturne has all the elegance of the Deco fonts of the 1930s. It recalls the romantic, sophisticated Zeitgeist of the early 20th century, that nostalgic time "between the wars". Nocturne comes in two styles: Nocturne Regular, which uses the Art Deco convention of small x height, and long ascenders. This style is perfect for headers, posters, labels etc. Nocturne Book, which, with its higher x height and slightly wider characters, is extremely legible and suitable for small size text.

Kappa is a modern sans serif with humanistic and geometric features. Its structure is slightly narrow to fit in a greater range of platforms (moreover if you print it, you may save a lot of paper), and its height is higher allowing a great legibility in small sizes. This family is composed with the display version and the text version providing a broad spectrum of solutions, making this family easier and friendlier to use.
