CroMagnon began as an experiment with breaking the rules - crossbars thick, downstrokes thin - and evolved into a funky, sassy font (a little like the designer). CroMagnon offers a nice mix of edginess with respectability. There are alternates for almost all of the lowercase letters which keep the font fresh and fun.

Pukupuku-japan is a cute round font. This font is designed based on the shape of clouds and beans, which looks somewhat like handwritten letters. About 4,000 Japanese letters, including hiragana, katakana, kanji, symbols and alphanumeric letters are stored here. A Japanese keyboard is recommended to type with this font.

Creeps is based on a series of drawings by Britton Walters. You can't escape the Creeps, they are everywhere! Be they looking at you funny on the bus or telling you about their collection of chicken bones in the break room at work. There is a little creep in us all.

British Stencil JNL was sketched from images of a vintage stencil set made by Reese and Sons of England that was being sold on ebay. In truth, this is a semi-stencil, as some of the characters are solid; lacking the breaks in the letter shapes so typical of stencil alphabets.

Handlettering on a piece of sheet music from 1903 was the inspiration for this little whimsical wonder. The font features a very sinuous S and teddy-bear bookends in the {brace} positions. Totebag JNL continues the stencil font series from Jeff Levine originally inspired by classic lettering stencils of the 1940s and 1950s. This particular design is common amongst "painting stencils", the individual letters used for marking and identification. Some characters are solid shapes while others have the more traditional "breaks" in the letters.

Orange is the work of British designer Timothy Donaldson and defies the conventional rules of letter construction. An Oct. 7, 1931 advertisement in a British trade paper for the film industry carried the unusual title “The Bioscope Peaks of National Approval”. Just as unusual was the hand lettering for this ad – a quirky, casual bit of novelty typography that inspired Film Preview JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Caturrita is a versatile family for use in both long texts, and can be used in titles. The characters have fluidity, contemplating the principle of continuity. It has structural strength of the glyphs to be drawn by considering aspects calligraphy. The name comes from the similarity between the characteristics of the bird well known in southern Brazil: drawing the loose, fluid that resembles a flying bird. Moreover, a clear reminder that some of the glyphs are the serifs beak of the animal. A 1934 advertisement for the Roney Plaza Hotel at 23rd Street and Collins Avenue on Miami Beach yielded the inspiration for Tropical Tourist JNL. While this wonderful example of Art Deco lettering survived, sadly the original Roney was torn down around 1969 and replaced with a modern apartment house/condos bearing the same name.

Pop Tune JNL comes from the hand-lettered title on sheet music for "Does Your Heart Beat for Me?". This 1940s hit was co-written and made famous by Russ Morgan and His Orchestra. Many vintage pieces of sheet music employed hand-lettered titles and cartoon illustrations to emphasize the topic of the song itself.

In the 19th century typefaces with star-like serifs developed from the medieval type styles, retaining the sharp corners and peaks of some of the blackletter types but losing the flourishes on the upper-case letters. Asterx is in that tradition of star-footed typefaces, though it is not modeled on any particular one.

The hand-lettered movie titles from one of the William Powell-Myrna Loy "Thin Man" series of films was the basis for Intrigue JNL. Although the lettering style is decidedly from the Art Deco era, it also bears a strong resemblance to the 1980s techno movement; this font being adaptable to any era or design theme.

Dance Lesson JNL is a reinterpretation of the popular "Latin Bold" typeface.
