The first glyphs of Nougat Script were born in 2010 to honor the birth of my first chubby and charming daughter, Siena. The ongoing project with significant progress was presented at Tipos Latinos, the biennal of Latin America typography where Nougat Script was selected among 70 of the best fonts. After a long pause, the project had a powerful restart at the begining of 2018. In those days, it not only grew in number of signs but in complexity of behavior. There are 4 different types of writing within the same font file accesible via opentype features: Script (base or normal), two glyphic alternatives with well differentiated swashes and finally a small cap version. Nougat Script has a fresh and relaxed lettering attitude combined with the typographic harshness for elegant text compositions.

Zin Serif is a contemporary typeface designed for various situations of typographic usage. Characteristic feature is a large x-height and balance between neutral construction of letters (strictly vertical axis) and dynamic open forms (opened terminals). Another typical feature is a visually narrower connection between stems and strokes. The complete font family consist of three width proportions (Normal, Condensed and Extended). Every sub-family has 5 weights, ranging from Light to Black with matching Italics. Zin Serif can be effectively used for both text and display typesetting. It can be used especialy in magazine layouts and editorial design, as well in advertising typography, orientation systems, corporate identities and many other situations. Zin Serif is a member of the Zin super family, which also includes Zin Sans, Zin Slab and Zin Display fonts.

Nosegrind is a bit of a departure from our usual more traditional font offerings. It's based on skate-culture graffiti gleaned from various samples of similar style found on walls in Austin and online. The font includes two character sets, one which is plain and one which is enhanced with outlines. In normal usage the characters should nest, with slight overlap from one character to the next as shown in the sample to the right, but the lower case characters in the font are spaced evenly but not pre-nested, leaving the degree of overlap up to the user - nesting is easily adjusted with the tracking option in programs like Photoshop, Quark or InDesign. Ultimately Nosegrind will be added to our Modern Fonts collection, where it ought to fit in nicely.

Cacao is another one of my "found fonts". I found this one in an old advertising for a French cocoa drink. Since I am a vervent lover of cocoa, I will give you my recipe for a normal coffee mug full of delicious hot cocoa. Mix three heaped teaspoons of sugar with one and a half to two teaspoons of finest cocoa powder. Then add a little cold milk, stir, add a little cold milk, stir, and so on until you have a mushy creamy consistency. Now slowly add - always stirring - boiling hot water til the cup is almost full. This family is a compilation created from a Garamond set in use in Paris circa 1651, but similar to those, eroded and tired, that were in use during centuries to print cheap publications, as well as in Europe than in America, and from a large choice of printed symbols—all specially redrawn—used for alchemical, pharmaceutical and astrological books, covering 1550 to late 1800s period. Each alphabet is doubled by a slightly different one, and a special OTF encoding allows to give an irregular effect with never the same twin letters in a single word. The Normal style is enriched by small caps, and the Italic style by Swashes. A lot of symbols, too, are given twice with differences. This font may be used with our calendar specialized 1689 Almanach.

Bombay is serif type family by ManVsType. It is ideal to use at larger sizes as a display font. The family comes in 5 weights in 2 styles (normal stem height and low stem height). This font is variable in its weight and "connection" heights in the letters a, b, d, h, m, n, p, q, r and u. The typeface has a number of ligature including an R+s ligature that automatically turns into the ₹ (rupee symbol) to solve a major problem in the Indian subcontinent where people don't know how to type it. Bombay is inspired by the colonial version of the city. The city being a melting pot of all kinds of people. Poets, writers, filmmakers enjoyed the city and it quickly became the cultural hub of the entire country.

City Boys Soft is a fashionable contrasted sans-serif that can be used in almost any situation. City Boys has basic, natural and neutral letterforms and skeletons for a wide range of usage. Slacker is a carefree brush script with soft features, low contrast and well balanced character forms. Slacker is excellent for creating easygoing yet catchy headlines, logotypes or even longer texts. Fs ornaments are unique modular sets of ornaments that are based on ancient patterns and medieval woodcuts. They work very well on modern layouts as well. What is more You can use them not only as ornaments but also as borders. This complexity gives you a carefully planned tool with high decorative qualities. All this depends only on your imagination! With it you can add a genuine touch of distinction to every sophisticated layout but use them carefully. The basic set is Fs ornament 1 while Fs ornament 2 is a distorted version of it. Fs ornament 3 is a woodcut underlying that could be applied underneath ornaments or without them. The usage is very simple-You type them as you normally type letters but instead you get those great decoration! Easy isn't it?

Mein Schatz's (in English: Darling) characteristic feature is the availability of ligatures in the expert set. The font offers – among others – the ligatures sh, sp, st, tz and alternatives for f, l and z. The expert set’s majuscules have curved elements in addition, thus allowing designers to put the typeface to highly individualistic use for displays and logos. Another feature of the font are the two different figure systems. Further to the normal table figures, Mein Schatz also offers old style figures, mainly for use in continuous text. Table figures as well as old style figures are available in all four cuts, i.e. regular, bold, italic and bolditalic. Furthermore designers will enjoy the additional curved ornaments. The curved ornaments and ligatures don’t only add a playful character to the typeface but also hence the name.

Circe™ is a geometric sans-serif with some humanist qualities. It consists of seven weights from Thin to Extra Bold in both Normal and Italic styles. Circe, like the Greek goddess it is named after, is capable of metamorphosis. While being clean and simple in its basic form, Circe can become intricate and fancy with its numerous decorative glyph variations. The extensive character set provides support for almost all European languages based on Latin and Cyrillic scripts. Abundant alternates and swash variants organized in stylistic sets inspire creative design options. Circe is good for small point size paragraphs as well as for headlines and posters. The typeface was designed by Alexandra Korolkova and released by Paratype in 2011. The Italic styles were added in 2018 by Alexandra Korolkova and Maria Kharlamova (Selezeneva).

Razom Script is a typeface with deep roots in pointed brush calligraphy that takes advantage of current font technology to go beyond handwriting and reach new limits. A successful blend between printed and handwritten letterforms is visible when comparing upper and lowercase. The weight of the typeface evolve in a way that pushes the limits of a script typeface to suggest new uses. Normally, families are developed in weights, not proportions. Also, having several weights in a script family is rather rare. But in Razon Script, as the fonts gain weight, big differences show up in the font outlines: the thin weight looks soft and delicate but as we examine darker variables, they also seem to get broken. The counters of the letters rotate from vertical to horizontal during this process.

Use this font to make lines, borders, patterns, backgrounds, unique bullets, or use it inline within text. Let your imagination explore the possibilities to combine these geometric shapes. Use letter spacing to connect the shapes in a continuous pattern, or space them apart horizontally. Stack them vertically and control their distance with leading (line spacing). Make fields of pattern and explore layering and opacity for color mixing. FormPattern Color Six takes inspiration from mosaic patterns seen in the south of Italy. It is easier to use this font to make patterns than to use drawings because you can control the size, color, and spacing from the type menu. It is also an effective way to make web graphics that are responsive with text. Using it is simple. As you type, forms will appear instead of letters. Each font in this collection is a colored set. The sets are primary, secondary, tertiary, analogous, dark, old world, vintage, greyscale, cool grey, and warm grey. There is a solid font that can be colored in the same way as regular fonts. The color fonts are accessed in the type menu where you would normally find the different weights or italics Most design software, such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop provide a glyphs palette where you can choose the precise form you want. It can work with the simplest text editors too. However, these may not support the color options. FormPattern Color Six is a vector-based and fully scalable SVG OpenType format. Color fonts are supported by Photoshop 2017, Illustrator 2018, and QuarkXPress 2018 (and later versions). This version of FormPattern Color Six is compatible with all FormPattern fonts by Tarallo Design. The display artwork shows it paired with the typeface Scanno.

Condell Bio Poster is part of the bigger Condell family: a project that involves series of typographies that started to be conceived and developed since 2006. It also includes a bigger legibility version and a sans serif. Condell Bio is very versatile and can be used in the agroindustrial production. Thanks to its strongness and its charm, it can be used in different projects where a short and powerful message is required. For instance in a brand marketing campaign. The Condell project follows in terms of time the design of Comalle (a font also designed by Juan Pablo de Gregorio in 2006), but if we compare them, Condell seems to look for a major range of uses rather than a mere stylistic inspiration. And even if it keeps in its shape some organic forms, Condell seems to be much more similar to a sans serif traditional typography. Condell's fat and soft forms and its nice endings, inspired through spontaneous brush strokes, give it a very peculiar pleasant connotation. Its Italic (10 degrees inclination) have been produced singularly, not automatically calculated by the software. Condell Bio Poster is composed of 2 styles: the regular and the italic. Each one of them have 599 characters and is composed of 206 languages.

At the turn of the 20th century monolinear alphabets were often despised for their dullness. Typographers, therefore, took great pains to breathe some kind of individuality into the monotonous sans-serif scheme. They started with subtle differentiation in the thickness of vertical and horizontal strokes and finished by improving details. By this they arrived at a more decorative appearance of the type face which thus became more regardful of the eye of the bourgeoisie. Ideal Gothic is no exception. It is characterized by a correct stiffness which will improve the morals of every idea printed by this type face. The awkward curves of the italics are a little suggestive of openwork iron products or the bent iron of the decorative little railings in a Prague park. The so-called "hidden" and, furthermore, curved serifs complete the inconspicuous "charm" of this type face. All its above-mentioned features, however, suddenly turn into advantages when we need to design a magazine, a brochure or an annual report, in short whenever illustrations dominate. It is not by accident that the basic design of "Ideal Gothic" has such a light tonal value - it competes neither with fine pencil sketches, nor with sentimental landscapes. It is very suitable for business cards and corporate identity graphics.

Salas is a fun, chunky, slab serif omnicase display font. It's blocky and loud, so it can scream from Posters and Headlines. Think of a clown with poor hearing making a Skype call, he's shouting, but you like it. Anyway: it has over 300 glyphs, several variations on the standard alphabet and lots of those extra foreign features for sending international ransom notes. OpenType coded, it has various letter pairings that interlock automatically to create a more randomized, bespoke feel to your copy. It also has some extra characters available directly through your glyphs palette. Play around with it, I hope you like it.

A modern Sans Serif — prosaic, designed geometrically, beautiful in large sizes All the dimensions of the font are based on Factor 10. The general principle of construction leads to slim forms and nearly equally wide characters. So the font appears very solid but is actually difficult to decipher in longer texts. Along with the ”normal“ Guhly Regular there are also the two versions Guhly Light and Guhly Bold, whereas in each only the vertical strokes [Guhly Light] or horizontal [Guhly Bold] have been changed in strength. The result is a very individual decorative effect which slightly reflects old circus and western scripts. The lower case characters in the version Guhly Book are, therefore, optimized to be suitable for longer texts in smaller font sizes — because after all, sometimes you should read a bit more than just the headline… The design of a shampoo bottle stands behind the creation of this sans serif display font. Prominent, clearly constructed forms with circular arcs define its appearance. This is a font primarily designed for use with capital letters — for all sorts of advertising purposes, headlines and titles. But lower case letters also belong to a good functional font; so, of course, Guhly includes them and ligatures for the more ”critical“ letter combinations as well as stylistic alternates for the letters K (or k), V (v) and o. As a decorative “encore”, the Guhly family also contains the “normal” weight in two variants: on the one hand the Guhly Cutout – these are letters without counter, as if the letters were cut out and the internal surfaces fell out; and on the other hand the Guhly stencil – as the name suggests, a stencil font with the typical bars that give a stencil the necessary cohesion.

The source of inspiration for Vice Monogram is an Art Deco letterset (capitals only) from a 1915 publication by Cartier-Bresson of Paris containing classic and modern monogram patterns for embroidery. This Art Deco monogram style has been redrawn, balanced, and brought into the digital age for your type-setting use and enjoyment. The inspiration source for Peony Monogram was a unique stackable monogram design with floral accents from a vintage embroidery publication. Originally intended to adorn handkerchiefs, this simple pattern has so many design possibilities, from colorizing to formatting options. You can really play around with this monogram font! Peony Monogram can create one, two, or three letter monograms, even basic titling due to its unique design. Because of Peony's unique stackable monogram formatting, make certain that the point size of the font is the same as the leading being applied to the font in order to minimize gapping between stacked forms. The inspiration source for MFC Falconer Monogram is an unusual hand-drawn design from a vintage embroidery publication which relies on rigid geometric letterforms to create an upward stepping framework. This monogram which evokes visions of it embossed or printed on antique baking tins was originally intended to adorn handkerchiefs, but the possibilities of its use are up to your imagination. This is one of many monogram designs from the early 1900’s which fall into a two letter format that is either adorned or interwoven decorative elements. Varese Outlined is the perfect font for giving content a retro, dimensional, and playful feel. Use it for headlines or short body text for an optimistic or nostalgic tone. It comes in two variations, outlined and shadow. It has standard uncolored and colored options. Please see the slides to know what each color font is named. This geometric and modular typeface was inspired by Italian posters of the 1920s and 1930s. Its design playfully explores the boundaries between unity and variety. The blocky characteristics lend it well to tightly composed text either horizontally or vertically. The lowercase is similar in form to the uppercase, yet many of the lowercase letters have interior spaces (counterforms). It comes with standard ligatures; ff, fi, fl, ffl and three alternate glyphs for number 1. The color fonts in Varese Outlined are vector-based and in the fully scalable SVG OpenType format. Color fonts are supported by Photoshop 2017, Illustrator and InDesign 2018, and QuarkXPress 2018 (and later versions). Those who do not want a color font should purchase the files simply named “Regular” and “Outlined”. These will not have any color words in the names. Varese Outlined has two siblings; Varese and Varese Soft. The designer suggests pairing Varese Outlined with his ornamental fonts FormPattern or FormPattern Color Two, Three, or Six.

Ernie is a new animated typeface by Jim Ford, intended as a complimentary serif design to Freeman Craw’s fun retro hit, Ad Lib. The serif drawings mimic the behaviors of Ad Lib, on a Clarendon-esque structure. The application of Ad Lib’s behaviors to a serif design highlights it's quirky characteristics; notably in the added contrast, the bending of serifs and the translation to Ernie’s ball terminals. The lowercase g is probably the most extreme example of this "translation." Ernie has a savvy system of text animation built in; with dualing lowercase alphabets, 34 ligatures, and an extensive glossary of custom words, all programmed to automatically make intelligent pseudorandom wordshapes. It's called RMS, aka the Randomagic System. The glossary of “buzz” words is based on the most common and powerful words in marketing and advertising, as well as words that are specific to Ernie’s intended uses.. Additionally, Ernie Alt provides the opposite randomization effects in lowercase text, thus reversing the rhythm of the bounce. Ernie Sorts is a bonus font which includes fun printers fists, expandable banners and other graphic elements. The Ernie character and cartoons were created by Johnny Sampson, as a visualization of the typeface, it's character and it's unique features.

The Comic-Script by ingoFonts In the past cartoons used to be lettered by hand. Hardly anyone does this today. The reason is, because hardly anyone has nice handwriting these days, so there are practical advantages in having a special font. However the font should still look like it’s been written by hand. Well, most script fonts don’t meet this requirement. The LeDrôle Lettering is a computer font, but closely resembles genuine handwriting. The model for the LeDrôle Lettering is my personal handwriting, as can be seen on the example of the Biró Script, which is also an ingoFont. The habit of capitalization comes from the Romanic and Anglo-Saxon countries. Depending on the purpose they are designed in three significantly bolder weights. In order for the typeface to actually look handwritten, it needs to have clearly visible irregularities. These are not found only in the shapes of the individual letters. Even though LeDrôle Lettering is all in capital letters, the characters of uppercase and lowercase letters are clearly different. Additionally, many alternative shapes are used, which are automatically applied when the OpenType “Ligatures” feature is activated. Thus, there are no identical double letters or numerals, and many character combinations are defined as ligatures with alternative forms.

Fontoddler Font Family, This font was created with the personality, in mind, of my two-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter Chloe Bella. I believe strongly that fonts have personalities that’s why we refer to their members as ‘characters’ or to be more accurate, ‘glyphs’. This font is playful, bold, colorful in form and design, a bit irregular, a bit informal, a bit irreverent, a bit humorous, a bit sassy, and a bit independent just like my little one. While watching a 1920s Charlie Chaplin short film, Jeff Levine was taken with the unusually modern looking lettering of the title cards in that silent movie. The lettering was not only right for its time, but could also be adapted to both Art Deco and Techno applications. From this classic film comes the font Two Reeler JNL, a bit of yesterday with an eye toward the future.

Yekuana is a typeface whose design is based primarily on the study of certain geometric ethnic ancestral Venezuelan signs, visually rich and originally used in the enrichment of various utilitarian objects with high symbolic and cultural content. Yekuana is a family of two weights, stylistic alternates, fractions, ordinals and ligatures. Its use is recommended for titles or short phrases and elements of oversized visual communication.

This font is reminiscent of the Middle Ages texture fonts. But geometric shapes make it more modern. It will work well in large and short inscriptions.
