Spekulatus is a made up name, and that was what I needed for a font like this. I am not sure which category it fits in: grunge, square, handmade, rough or maybe even graffiti? Well, let's just say that it fits in all 5 - or perhaps even more? All letters are handdrawn, and messed up a bit with a thin fine white liner, leaving a gentle grungy and worn effect. I've added 5 different versions of each letter, which is quite nice - not having the same letters repeating all the time!

Foundry Context is a sans serif family designed to be universal in many contexts – hence the name. A ‘no-nonsense’ typeface, reminiscent of 19th century sans serif faces, Foundry Context has very round, pure letterforms, crafted without being over refined, and having minimal stroke contrast in the neo-grotesque style. A hint of personality has emerged from the very drawing of the proportions, strokes, and terminals, yet Foundry Context is still neutral enough to compete in the grotesk arena, and at the same time has something new to say.

Bell is a facsimile of the typeface cut originally for John Bell by Richard Austin in 1788~ using as a basis the matrices in the possession of Stephenson Blake & Co. Used in Bells newspaper~ The Oracle~ it was regarded by Stanley Morison as the first English Modern face. Although inspired by French punchcutters of the time~ with a vertical stress and fine hairlines~ Bell is less severe than the French models and is now classified as Transitional. Essentially a text face~ the Bell font family can be used for books~ magazines~ long articles~ etc.

JY Ætna was designed originally by Francesco Griffo in 1495, and appeared in a book by Cardinal Bembo the following year. I used to be a frequent flyer; as a tour guide I often had 6 to 10 international flights per year. At the time I didn’t even think about the consequences of flying, as I loved my job and the job was all about travel. Now, with the planet in deplorable state, I try to keep flying to an utter minimum. I guess you call it ’shame of flying’… Frequent Flyer font is a nice, eroded, all caps font. This family was created -- inspired from the engraved typeface (Two styles : Normal & Italic) used in the pack of 52 playing cards who was describing the 52 counties forming a small Atlas of England and Wales and depicting English roads for the first time, published by Sir Robert Morden in 1676. Our OTF and TTF versions are covering Western, Eastern and Central European languages (including Celtic), Baltic and Turkish, containing historical and standard ligatures plus specific Old English abbreviations. The MacTT Classic version is containing the basic standard 256 glyphs including some extra ligatures.

Ampmosphere, a picture font, contains instruments and components from a 60's rock and roll band. After a friend's request to create a guitar graphic, I decided to start a set. Over time, more instruments were added along with amps, tubes, lights, etc. The glyphs are great to use individually or combined. 65 detailed glyphs in all... A - Z upper and lower case; 0 - 9; comma, period and forward slash. Upper case A, B, C and D are the separate strings for the stringed instruments a, b, c and d.

Alice is a formal fantasy font. It’s inspired in the fairy tales and magical lands that my mother used to tell me as a child when I went to sleep. The capitals are really nice and complex, while the minuscules are cleaner for easier reading. The style Curly uses some features of the normal uppercase letters in the lowercase ones. There are some minor, yet noticable, flaws in a number of characters that will need correction for signage/vinyl letter cuts (characters appx. 2-1/2" and larger).

Legitima is a text font family inspired by the types found in the 3rd edition of the Italian book La Cicceide Legitima, printed in 1695. Its weight and x-height, optimized for 10 point-size, make it an ideal choice for book design and anything with running text. Like most typefaces from the 16th century, the strokes that constitute Legitima seem to depart from the traditional broad-nib pen model of handwriting and dare to explore the shapes produced by the techniques in use by punch-cutters of the time.

Some time ago, my kids asked me what kind of sweets I really liked. To be honest, I don’t actually like sweets at all - never have, never will. BUT… you can wake me up for chocolate and ice cream! Those are my guilty pleasures! Guilty Pleasure is a handmade font. I used China Ink and a brush to create all the glyphs. Guilty Pleasure is a very distinct display font. I recommend you use it for your ice cream or chocolate packaging… but that, of course, is entirely up to you!
