He published his work known as Radloff's Atlas with a runic font specially developed for the Old Turkish Runic Alphabet. I made the Turkish Runic Font using Radloff's Atlas. I developed this Anglo Saxon Futhark font based on this font and adapted it to Anglo Saxon script.

ITC Drycut is the work of Vancouver-based designer Serge Pichii and gives a twist to the tradition of heavy, woodcut-like typefaces. The font includes all the realistic features of a true woodcut, sharp edges, white cut marks and black slivers. The slivers around the edges suggest traces left after awkward movements of a knife, which are often visible on old woodcuts...Folk artists often didn't care much about refining their carvings and the slivers would have been left as long as the letters remained readable." The lower case alphabet is actually small caps proportioned to match the capitals. The letters of ITC Drycut have a slight slant to the right which lends the font a dynamic character."

Camden is based on the types used in Camden's 'Remaines concerning Britaine' published in London in 1638. The object was to avoid the contradiction inherent in most 'distressed' typefaces made to give the effect of the imperfections in old print. This means that apparently worn characters are perfectly repeated throughout a setting. The makeup of the Camden fonts means that, with a little extra keying time, alternate characters may be brought in which overcome this. Also many characters are provided which have 'period identities' such as the long s with ligatures, tied sorts ct, sp and st, swash characters in the italic and the double vv, all of which can add a specific age identity.

Imperija Roman is a display typeface inspired by stone engraved lettering. Supporting west, central and east European languages it contains over one-hundred discretionary ligatures and a stylistic set for old style diacritics. The original letters were drawn from a memorial engraving in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Further development and several iterations later, Imperija Roman has a flowing organic feel while staying true to the rigid constraints of stone-cut letters. The alternative diacritics in stylistic set one were included to give the user more options for a historical feel to the lettering. “Designers can’t help but be inspired by the things that surround them,” says Massif’s designer Steve Matteson. An avid mountain climber, Matteson found his inspiration for his text face family in the dramatic granite formations of North America’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Most of Matteson’s type designs are custom projects designed with an end use or customer in mind. It's nice when a font provides old style figures, small caps and alternate letters. But what to do if my typesetting program doesn't support Open Type features? The solution may be old-fashioned, but it's effective: the variants are placed in separate font families: Standard, Old Style Figures (OSF), and Small Caps (SC). Any word processor can handle it. As a special feature, my OSF fonts also contain alternative letters such as a looped g or descenders in the italic f.

Like most foundries MacKeller Smiths & Jordan doesn't display all the letters of the fonts in their specimen books so it took a little more time to find the complete character set for this old beautiful classic font.
