The Koelle Ornaments series is based on the etchings of Chris Koelle of Portland Studios. This is the second collaboration between insigne and Portland Studios; the first yielded the inky and active script Blue Goblet. Chris has a unique style where he "frames" his work with small icons related to the story or subject. These are now available as Koelle ornaments. Neon Bugler Squared is a soft, boxy version of Neon Bugler, which is a font based on the third logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font design has these principles as its parameters: The letters generally follow what would be natural stroke directions; no sharp corners, all gentle turns; no lines back up over each other, cross each other, or run into each other. All of this civility between the lines produces an unintentional but welcome neon quality about it. This font can have a variety of vibes depending on its context-it has a certain nostalgia to it, yet it also has a slick, clean, futuristic, sci-fi look. It can even be used in a semi-grunge setting. Inspired by a few letters in a hand-drawn logotype, Swashington is a serif font with both an early 20th Century feel and yet is evocative of the swash fonts of the 1970s as well. Coal Brush is a bit of a misleading name. It looks as though it was made with a brush, but it was, in fact, made with a almost dried out old marker pen. But a font named ‘dried out old marker pen’ doesn’t really fly, so I decided to pimp the name. There you have it, you can’t even trust an honest typographer! Marker pen or brush, Coal Brush is a very sweet little font. It is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be mixed freely. Plus there’s a hidden stash of alternates for the lower case letters and an alternate ampersand! I actually threw that in to make up for my lie. So, use it for your books, your posters, your rap albums, rock operas, grilled food restaurants and designer BBQ sauces. It’s yours for the taking!

Monk is a multi-language geometric harmoniously balanced font in Arabic and Latin. The font family has its origins in Benedictine and Franciscan writing. Googie Architecture, also known as "Midcentury Coffee Shop Modern," was born in California during the Atomic Age. Martini at Joe's is based on lettering from several historic Googie sources - many of which no longer exist. Appelstroop literally means ‘Apple Syrup’ in Dutch, but it is also know as Apple Butter; a slightly sweet & sour goo that you can use to sweeten things, or, as we do in Holland, spread it on a sandwich. It’s delicious, give it a try! Appelstroop font is a chunky, slightly eroded affair. It is mostly all caps, with a few lower case glyphs thrown in for good measure. Use this sticky font for your product packaging, toys and kids book covers!

Just like a nice breakfast, Kitchen Stink is a great way to start the day! :) You may already have guessed that the fontname is the result of a wordplay. Sometimes it's funny how a single letter can completely change the meaning of a word. In this case! With this font, you are dealing with a gentle mixture of a basic handwritten font, a comic font and oldschool grafitti! The result is this steady, sometimes a bit off, but legible crunchy handwritten font!

Blackout SCF is a loose and informal grungy font with a modern, electric zappy quality. The font is particularly useable for the promotion of products aimed at young and trendy consumers. Arab Brushstroke is a graceful, upright German calligraphic script. At first glance, Arab Brushstroke does not seem to have much in common with Arabic calligraphy. Perhaps that feeling was the inspiration behind this typeface's name? In any case, Arab Brushstroke is a good choice for use in headlines, as well as other display applications.

Herald Banner is the newest (as at January 2017) of Greater Albion’s ‘Banner’ or ‘Masthead' typeface. It tales the form of letters on a long heraldic banner twined about a central mace. It is offered in two forms- a conventional monochrome typeface and a set of eight interrelated typefaces designated ‘Colour’ 1 through to ‘Colour 8’. These (and indeed the monochrome face) have identical metrics and can be overlaid to produce multi-coloured lettering with the bare minimum of effort.

Minute is a handwritten font with 2 glyphs for each upper and lower– case letters as well as 2 glyphs for each digit, for a natural hand-done look. There are yet clever stylistic alternates that can instantly surround the word with lines that look somewhat like a shining or blinking effect: just put the desired word between parenthesis and turn on the Stylistic Alternates feature. Or manually pick the glyphs, if you prefer. Everything will look great in this Minute​!​ You bet!

Natuna is named after the ocean which is rich in marine ecosystems and the region where I live in Indonesia. For this font, I retained my handwriting style, but I combine it with a touch of modern calligraphy. It is seen with the tail of each letter the same length. The upper and lower case letters all have the same tail. This font is perfect for many creative needs and can be for marriage invitations, greetings, business cards, and more.

Arab Brushstroke is a graceful, upright German calligraphic script. At first glance, Arab Brushstroke does not seem to have much in common with Arabic calligraphy. Darker Marker is just what the name suggests: I found a very big fat marker in a local stationary store, bought it, came home and went to work on this font. Darker Marker is a very clear, very easy to read marker font. It is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be interchanged. Darth Vader would have said: “come to the dark side” and I believe you should. Darker Marker comes preloaded with all the diacritics you need.

I made this font using my index finger and Chinese ink. I thought the ink would come off easily, but I can tell you: it doesn’t. I have been walking around with a black stained finger for a week now and I do get strange looks from people every so often… Fingerfood, of course, is hand made. It is a rather playful font - all caps, but lower and upper case differ and like to mingle. Comes with a full diacritics palette.

I really don’t like candy. In fact, I even hate the smell of candy! But… You can wake me up for caramel in any form or shape! When I was a kid, we used to get a tin of wrapped English ‘quality’ toffees for Christmas. My favourites were the big, flat chewy caramels in a bright purple wrapper! Chewy Caramel is a happy handmade font, ideal for book covers, candy wrappers and labels. Comes with double-letter ligatures for the lower case.

STRANO Like the name indicates it’s a strange typeface. Just capitals (including punctuation marks and numbers), composed from early sketches for a corporate identity in 2005 by André Toet. The complete font was restyled and translated to a Monospaced version. It’s a quite versatile font: it can be used in a lot of different cases, not only in print but also in architecture and street furniture. Think about lettering on benches, bridges, buildings. Karin's free reinterpretation of the early Renaissance Lombardic tradition, in two different versions. In the upper case the fill is blacker and has a straight pattern with diamond elements; in the lower case the fill is thinner with more white space and has a wavy pattern with rounded elements.

Oxford Street is a signage font that began as a redrawing of the capital letters used for street nameplates in the borough of Westminster in Central London. The nameplates were designed in 1967 by the Design Research Unit using custom lettering based on Adrian Frutiger’s Univers typeface, a curious combination of Univers 69 Bold Ultra Condensed, a weight that doesn’t seem to exist but which would flatten the long curves of glyphs such as O, C and D, and Universe 67 Bold Condensed with its more rounded lobes on glyphs like B, P and R. Letters were then remodelled to improve their use on street signs. Thin strokes like the inner diagonals of M and N were thickened to create a more monolinear alphabet; the high interior apexes were lowered and the wide joins thinned. The crossbar of the A was lowered, the K was made double junction, and the tail of the Q was given a baseline curve. K-Type Oxford Street continues the process of impertinent improvement and includes myriad minor adjustments and several more conspicuous amendments. The stroke junctions of M and N are further narrowed and their interior apexes modified. The middle apex of the W is narrowed and the glyph is a little more condensed. The C and S are drawn more open, terminals slightly shortened. The K-Type font adds a new lowercase which is also made more monolinear so better suited to signage, loosely based on Univers but also taking inspiration from the Transport typeface both in a taller x-height and character formation. The lowercase L has a curled foot, the k is double junctioned to match the uppercase, and terminals of a, c, e, g and s are drawn shorter for openness and clarity. A full repertoire of Latin Extended-A characters features low-rise diacritics that keep congestion to a minimum in multiple lines of text. The font tips the hat to signage history by including stylistic alternates for M, W and w that have the pointed middles of the earlier MOT street sign typeface. Incidentally, Alistair Hall (‘London Street Signs’, Batsford, 2020) notes that when the manufacturer of signs was changed in 2007, Helvetica Bold Condensed was substituted in place of the custom design, “an unfortunate case of an off-the-peg suit replacing a tailored one” and a blunder that has happily since been rectified, though offending nameplates can still be spotted by discerning font fans.

The glyphs of AndrijScript typeface are based on usual calligrapher's handwriting, my own native Cyrillic. This strange mix of freedom and professionalism looks vivid but a bit elegant.
