End Crawl - A Halloween Brush Font Introducing a new creeping terror this Halloween, End Crawl is a hand-drawn brush font inspired by the gore-soaked horror movies and comic books of the 1970s and 80s. This textured all-caps design evokes a nervous energy that will leave your readers frozen in suspense! The Rocaie fonts are base on antique Rococo letters from an gilding workshop. I was very lucky to acquire this set of metal letters in early 2018. Each of the letters has ornaments engraved by hand into its cast brass shapes. When drawing the digital outlines, I tried to preserve the handmade look of the original leaf engravings. Each of the letters uses a slightly different ornament pattern: no pattern is repeated identically. I expanded the very limited character set of the original, adding all the missing characters that today’s commercial fonts are expected to contain. I made additional font styles to easily add colour layers, outlines, and 3D shadows to the typeface. It’s up to you to decide how to “build” your colour font! You can combine the predefined font styles Regular, Pearl, Solid, Outline, and Magnum with each other, or with the Fill font styles. But you don't need to use all font styles to compose something nice! Have as much fun as I did with this Baroque beauty and enjoy the vintage.

This font is an orphanage where all the beautiful details of classical grotesque typefaces from the early twentieth century are gathered, and thus living together, are forming a ‘new’, happy family. The aim was to collect my favorite characters in one font. The start was an eclectic collection orientated on British types from the Caslon Doric No. 4, the Monotype Grotesque, the Gill, the Franklin Gothic up to the Transport. In this amalgamation I avoided the narrow apertures in the ‘e’, ‘c’ and in the numerals ‘5’, ‘6’ and ‘9’ and enlarged the x-height dramatically. To the classical slanted form of the italics I added real italic forms for ‘a’, ‘e’ and ‘g’ in order to obtain a more distinguished italic style. DF-Dejavu Pro supports all Latin-based languages (Western, Central-European, Eastern-European, Baltic and Turkish) and includes small capitals, ligatures, inferior & superior numerals and letters, fractions, various numeral styles: proportional lining, tabular lining, proportional old-style, tabular old-style and last but not least a slashed zero.

Although Wink is inspired by traditional calligraphic flourishes, its modern twist makes it elegant and simple at the same time. It’s not  completely a brush type but it has been created with the same calligraphy base Joluvian usually works with. Wink also has a caps version with the same style of the script. Both versions could work perfectly, individually or together. A heavy block sans in chrome and solid variants. The high lower-case x-height and short ascenders and descenders permit tight line spacing for an impactful, punchy effect. The chrome variant works well at larger sizes and in shorter settings.

Aorta was designed for independent subcultural zine. It have stencil in place of lower-case and digit stencil in place of old style digit. Aorta good for headlines, posters, editorial design... Aorta have condensed proportion and good in solid matter.

This is a radically modernized uncial with many OpenType features and 415 characters: Caps, lower case, small caps, numerators, denominators, accents characters and so on. There are 21 ligatures. It is an experimental look at medieval writing for the 21st century.

Pacific Northwest Letters is a fun, handwritten font by Cultivated Mind. Pacific Northwest has been carefully hand painted and comes in two styles (Regular/Rough). This font includes a set of lower case letters and Pacific Northwest hand painted Labels B.

Churchward Ta Tiki is a new font release by BluHead Studio, LLC from the exciting and unique typefaces of New Zealand designer Joseph Churchward. We will be releasing fonts from his extensive library in OpenType format on a regular basis.

The opening title card for 1931's pre-code movie drama "Other Men's Women" (with Mary Astor, Regis Toomey, James Cagney and Joan Blondell amongst the cast members) is the basis for the Art Deco type face Date Night JNL.

On the sides of freight cars, passenger trains, trolleys, buses and cable cars was once found identifying letters and numbers with a bold, yet quaint hand-painted look. Public Transportation JNL emulates the old-style look of those bygone years.

Italian type designer Alessio Leonardi created this display FontFont in 1994. The font is ideally suited for music and nightlife. FF Mulinex provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures and case-sensitive forms. It comes with proportional lining figures.

The extra bold sans serif stencil lettering on movie posters and lobby cards for “Reform School Girl” (a 1957 film by American International Pictures) was the basis of Reform School JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

This font is an addition to the Italican Oblique family, where the lower case characters have been redeveloped to give an impression of script. While some characters join together, there was no intention to create this style throughout the whole font.

The Art Nouveau free-form, hand lettered title on the cover of the 1912 sheet music for Irving Berlin’s “Wait Until Your Daddy Comes Home” formed the basis for Nouveau Song JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton for ATF in 1927, Sol Hess added a lower case in 1929. Hess also drew Broadway Engraved in 1928 for Lanston Monotype. Broadway has become somewhat of a classic icon as an "Art Deco" typeface.

A picture of some cast metal letters in a 1950s architectural signage catalog was the basis for Window Dressing JNL. The clean, simple lines as well as the unusual letter form of the B and R inspired this digital interpretation.

Crisp and clean with a non-traditional italics, Euroika is a decorative, serifed alphabet. The letters have high contrast between the thick and thin strokes and the lower-case letters have a small x-height. The family consists of ten members.

A hand-lettered title on a children's stencil book for sale in an online auction served as the basis for Rustic Stencil JNL. Reminiscent of classic wood type, this stencil design adds a Western-influenced flair to any typographic project.

Demian is the work of Dutch designer Jan Van Dijk. It is an informal script font whose capitals should serve as initials to the word settings of the lower case letters. Demian has the spontaneous, flowing look of true handwriting.

I have named the font “Makonde” after an tribal group in southeast Tanzania and northern Mozambique that is well known for their intricate and semi-realistic wood carvings. The patterns that decorate the Makonde font remind me of the Makonde wood carvings. The Makonde font is a useful resource for anyone creating designs or producing text that has African look. Typified by a stark African angularity the characters reflect the ethos of Africa. Each Makonde font contains the full range of upper and lower case characters, all punctuation and special characters as well as the accented characters used in the major European languages. The Makonde tribal group is of historical interest because FRELIMO, the resistance movement which ended Portugese colonialism in East Africa, originated in the homeland of the Makonde. The character shapes in the Makonde font are very similar to those in a style of Umkhonto called Umkhonto Wide. Using Umkhonto together with Makonde gives the designer enormous flexibility.

Utshani means "grass" in the African language: Zulu. Grass has softness but it also has great strength and many African craft implements are made from it. When we describe someone as being "like the grass", it is meant as a compliment for it means that they can be tender and strong. The fluid African font, Utshani, was designed to suggest the flexibility and strength of grass. In this way it contrasts with the majority of other "African-inspired" fonts, which tend to be heavy and hard-edged. It can be used in a wide variety of situations, in adverts and on posters and invitations.
