Frederic Goudy drew Truesdell in 1930 and first used it for an article in a quarterly journal for book collectors. Since it was a small family and not promoted, Goudy received few orders for fonts. The original drawings and matrices for the face were lost in the fire that destroyed Goudy's studio in 1939.The only known examples of Truesdell fonts reside in the extensive collection of typographic material at the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Printing. It was proofs from these fonts that served as the basis for Monotype's digital revival of the family. Museum Tertia Cursive is inspired by a beautiful set of 126 matrices in the Swedish Norstedts type collection. These types were probably manufactured in Germany before 1750. The matrices are part of a set imported to Sweden by J.P. Lindh from Breitkopf & Härtel 1818. Now this exquisite design is available again, thanks to type designer Torbjörn Olsson. Spoon is a fresh and contemporary sans-serif that can be used in wide range of project. Its skeleton of letterform is geometrically-based and minimal but the body was designed with a touch of humanistic outlines as though they were handwritten. Ticketing is a monospaced font loosely based on the pixel style lettering of electronic ticketing, designed for clarity when cheaply printed at small sizes. Ticketing, however, has a larger x-height than is often found on ticket type. The glyphs were drawn on a square grid 13 wide by 22 high, though some accented characters are taller or extend below the baseline. The Space is a full character width, but the Non-Breaking Space is set to half the width of the glyphs.

Always intrigued by Bodoni's original work, I was set out—back in 2000—to examine his work and study Manuale Tipografico, one of the greatest specimen books ever printed. Issued in 1818 at Parma, Italy by Bodoni's widow, the two-volume work shows an impressive array of 142 roman alphabets and some foreign ones such as Greek and Cyrillic. After a careful examination of all characters, I decided to create a typeface based on the distinct script capitals presented in the book. Matching lowercase italics were later selected and designed to complete the series. Since my intention was not to create simply a digital version of Bodoni's work, this typeface was designed with connected characters and capitals with extra calligraphic elements. The result was released in 2002 and published in our award-winning catalog/book IDEA/Trendsetting Typography vol.1. Later in 2005 we revived a large number of ornaments and borders (credit goes to designer George Lygas). All this work was left behind till recently when it was revisited to create a complete 'Pro' family. Several new uppercase and lowercase glyphs were designed in order to create a distinct typeface, which is based on Bodoni but yet it stands out on its own. The new version also takes care of conflicts between neigbouring letters, something that was not included in the first version. Bodoni Script Pro is a 3-weight superfamily. It supports 10 special opentype features including 'contextual alternates' as well as support for both Latin and Greek. Each font comes with 725 glyphs including a large number of alternates as well as 144 ornaments. Furthermore, when you purchase the whole package you get a bonus font which contains 120 frame parts. Excelsor Script is inspired by lithographically produced scripts. It is softer and simpler than, for example, engraved Splendid Script, because its designer used pens and lithographic needles. The graver for steel is held in a quite different way and this has an influence on the shape of the letter. Similar type faces were in use from Neo-Classicism until the beginning of Art Nouveau, when they were pushed aside by a completely different view of festive typography. It has, in contradistinction to other scripts, slightly narrowed letters, which signifies a distinctive elegance without wasting space on the line. For practical reasons it was not possible to encircle the bottle with too long a label. It is, therefore, a suitable type face for labels. Its two optical grades cover a wide range of sizes.

Glaciar is a script typeface based on brush handwriting and inspired by old-style bas-reliefs. All contours were carefully cleaned of brush roughness, but at the same time, minor imperfections were left to create the unique character of this font Glaciar has a built-in auto replacement for lowercase letters without connecting strokes (in the case of word ends) and for ligatures (in the case of letter pairs that do not fit well together). In addition, there are alternates glyphs with starting and ending swashes - the last ones can be used with any OpenType software.
