She did not live to experience her breakthrough as a poet, but today she is considered one of the pioneers of literary modernity – the American lyricist Emily Dickinson (1830–1886). She left behind a life’s work of manuscripts on scraps of paper, note pads and letters – and a last wish, that these were to be burned. Emily’s younger sister Lavinia did not fulfill her wish – and thus preserved the ingenious manuscript-objects for posterity. For Julia Sysmäläinen, designer of the award winning Kafka type family FF Mister K, Dickinson’s manuscripts were an inspiration and a source for creating her new typeface “Emily In White”. Emily In White – named after Emily Dickinson’s preference for white clothes – captures the most filigree letterforms of the poet’s multifaceted writing style. With hundreds of alternates and ligatures and a complex OpenType feature code it manages to revive the lively sequence of single and connected glyphs of a delicate handwriting which has been described as “breezing” and “reminding of bird tracks”. HOKKIEN is an all caps sister to my other font Penang. It was inspired by some old pieces of Art Deco signage I had discovered in Penang Malaysia, The font is available in one weight for now. The font is loaded with plenty of foreign extras and currency symbols. I have also included an alternate cap S which works better visually in blocks of copy.

Querino Script is an extra-bold script font, created by Måns Grebäck during 2018 and 2019. It comes as a regular, upright version and as italic. Also check out its sister typeface Querino Sans. The font is multilingual and has an extensive range of glyphs; it supports all Latin-based European languages, contains numbers as well as all symbols and characters you'll ever need.

Incorporating a certain Gallic ‘je ne sais quoi’ Galerie is a chic & stylish sans serif, though you'll notice some short tails with angled terminals acting rather like serifs, lending a sophisticated characteristic to its balanced proportions. Galerie’s large x-height makes it a very legible font family, available in 4 weights: Thin, Light, Medium and Bold. See also the condensed sister family Galerie 2.

Galerie 2 has a narrower styling and less contrast than its sister family but incorporates the same unique characteristics as Galerie within its elegant proportions. The close genetic proximity to Galerie enables dual deployment in text and artwork, each family complimenting the other in combinations of headings and copy. Galerie 2, like the full width Galerie volume, comes in 4 weights from Thin to Bold.

Époque Seria is that kind of person who looks really cute when angry. This font was derived from the Époque family. She is the little sister to Époque - a little shorter with her smaller x-height and — how do you say it in the typographic circle — your eyes are also smaller (and you know you squint when things get serious, isn't it?). The genealogy of these font face is undeniable, but Époque Seria has a ‘personality’ very different from her older sister. The reduction of the x-height also shakes somewhat with the cap that had crossbar. To accompany the package of standardization, the letters that don't have their straight axes were changed, which brought to the set more Cs and Gs contemporaries. In addition, other measures were taken as a greater softness in the variation of the weights and the abandonment of the black weight, being considered too heavy for this version.

This antique-aged version of Monkton can be used to imitate old letterpress printed documents such as old English text. The rough edges resemble ink spread on paper to give an old look. The inspiration for this typeface family came from my childhood experiences at Monkton, amidst an historic part of the South West of England. Studies of the original incised capitals of the Trajan column in Rome were analysed and polished for this modern version. The lower case letterforms and numerals were then created in sympathy, taking their proportions from the incised letters of local gravestones. Its name honours not only the area where the original alphabet was conceived and drawn, but also the people responsible for fostering my initial interest in letters.

PB Capitalis Rustica IVc is a font face designed for imitate latin writing style found in manuscripts from 1st to 9th century. Agrus in Ukrainian means "gooseberry". The letters are rounded like the berries and the sharp end elements remind of the barbs. In fact, the font is an intricate italic type. Malou Verlomme designed Madera with graphic designers in mind – drawing on his decade of experience designing bespoke type to create a versatile, easy-to-use geometric sans serif that ticks off a long list of branding requirements. Its sharp apexes add some flavour to the design, which offers an honest, trustworthy tone of voice – but with a twist. “The design doesn’t go out of its way to attract attention, but is still very solid,” explains Verlomme. “It still has a fair amount of warmth and personality, in a very understated manner. If you’re a large corporation, with a typeface being used in many different environments, you want something that’s easy to use but can sustain such a large amount of visibility.” The Madera typeface family has 32 fonts: Upright, Condensed and Italics. Each typeface contains over 650 glyphs with extensive Western, Central and Eastern European language support. It also supports OpenType typographic features like alternatives, ligatures and fractions. Madera Variables are font files which are featuring two axis and have a preset instance from Hairline to Extra Black.

Suburban Collier is a dreamy, humanist demi-serif sister of Romford Stencil typeface. It was created during the COVID-19 pandemic and its name is inspired by Collier Row, a suburban area of Romford, East London (UK). Suburban Collier features subtle ligatures, an alternative ‘a’ and supports Western, Central, Southern, and Eastern European as well as Pinyin. Use it to add character to your body copy or as fancy display text.

The six weight Organon Serif typeface is a stylish and feature-laden OpenType family which complements its sister Organon Sans, both components working in tandem to create an elegant, legible and thoughtfully designed suite of fonts which share similar cap & x heights, stem widths and ascender/descender values. Organon Serif mixes slab and calligraphic traits to create a truly impressive modern serif face fully loaded with typographic options.

As a present, my sister in law Christel Marseille-Hoksbergen created a hand-sewn alphabet which I liked so much, I decided to turn it into a font and this is the result. Probably a fun font to use in scrapbooks or magazines about handmade things. As an addition to the christelLine font, Christel Hoksbergen created another hand sewn alphabet which I turned into a font. This time with filled characters.

This is the first of several Eastern fonts I have created and is the prize of the collection. The Pravoslavnie font is highly decorative, with a more complicated letter ‘a’ and a series of flourishes substituting for punctuation. Like its sister font, Pravoslavnie 3 is highly decorative. It differs from the first version of this font, as it has a less decorative ‘a,’ full punctuation marks, and less ornate number forms.

Foro Rounded is the softer sister of the succesful Foro family. Distinct in appearance, with pleasant haptic, objective, and with graphic appeal. Foro comes in 16 styles and in OpenType format. All weights contain standard ligatures, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals and arrows. Foro supports Western European, Central and Eastern European languages.

AZ Varsity font was inspired from a combination of typical collegiate t-shirts designs and also the current wave of Hollister t-shirt designs (rough look). This font utilizes an "old look" to the line work which is designed to have a "worn feel" to it. It is designed to compliment it's sister font, AZ Vintage Brushed. This font is designed for use as a worn and antiqued headline or subheadline.

Artigo Display is the odd sister of Artigo text typeface. It is a contemporary interpretation of handwriting shapes in a display version of the italic. It is more expressive and it has its own personality. It was renovated with five new weights that bring more flexibility to use the typeface in different mediums. Artigo Display has won a Certificate of Typographic Excellence from the Type Directors Typeface Competition in January 2018.
