Empire Display is a sans serif italic display face which references the styling of the 30s through to the 50s. Konrad Kachelhofen was a printer in the city of Leipzig beginning around 1483. He printed many works by contemporary authors and also many of the classics. He acquired an unusually large amount of typefaces for his shop, a place that included a wine bar and book store. This particular face is based on the Typ.8:170G GfT101 Gesamtkatalog der Wiegendrucke. He probably died in 1529 after passing his business on to his son-in-law Melchior Lotter.

Lunokhod type family (four weights) was designed by Oleg Karpinsky for ParaType in 2005. Lunokhod is an original wide sans serif with square shapes of oval glyphs. Several Cyrillic glyphs such as Í, Ó, ×, ã, ä, ò have alternate letterforms. For example capital H has two shapes: Latin one with diagonal central stroke and traditional Cyrillic with horisontal bar. Capital Ó and × have symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes. For use in display typography and for short text passages.

Wolfsblood is a new display face by Jim Ford, adapted from hand-lettered logos spawned by punk rock bands like The Misfits and Bad Brains. Wolfsblood captures this bizarre dark-spirited lettering which has become a staple in the designer‘s work for bands and posters. The Wolfsblood font has an expanded character set with borders, dingbats (yes, Bats!), and contextual ligatures programmed to give the typeface a random appearance by default. We just had the Eurovision Song Contest here in Holland. I quite like to watch it, as it is usually a freak show of kitsch, political incorrectness and often really bad music. But it is a laugh and this year was no different. It inspired me to create this particular font with this particular name. Many items we use in our day-to-day lives offer wonderful source material for font designs. Mailbox Letters JNL was inspired by a set of self-stick adhesive letters used on mailboxes, doors and other areas of identification at home or in business.
