One look at the font Wanted brings to mind swinging saloon doors, double shots of whiskey and sheriff's badges. It belongs to the so-called Italienne typefaces which began to appear at the beginning of the 19th century. The distinguishing characteristic of such typefaces is the robustness of its serifs, which exceeds that of the base strokes. Wanted looks almost as though it were stamped on paper. Small white flecks appear in some of the strongest black strokes just as they would in a stamp which did not get quite enough ink...or are they perhaps the work of a sharp shooter? Wanted is best for short headlines and perfect for anything which should have the look and feel of the Wild West.

The term Old West conjures up memories of vintage movies and TV shows featuring saloons and dancehall girls. Old wanted posters and cowboys. The idea behind Strikt Sans was to made a grotesque family with exaggerated curves combined with low contrasted aspect. Letters such as G, S or C are completely closed in any styles. The italic has a very accentuated angle at 30°, which gives a stressed and interesting appearance. An extremely detailed grunge typeface! I loved the look of this font so much that I couldn't resist reworking it - although it probably had the most basic character set I've ever used as a starting point. A very chunky and rounded font. I have shortened the r and t, increased the size of the dots, and tweaked a little here and there - before expanding the character set substantially. Devinyl is a monolinear typeface family which mixes different styles. The typeface is entirely composed in capital.
