Copperplate was the classic nineteenth century engraver's typeface, consisting of capitals and small caps only. Among others (for example Deberny & Peignot) F. W. Goudy's cut for ATF around 1901 is probably the most widely known. Copperplate typefaces are traditionally used for business cards and all that "serious" stuff. My Copperplate Classic is a completely new design, based on some old samples. To make it look more up-to-date and elegant, I gave it some extra swings here and there. The old fonts were all designed with clogging corners or points that can break off in the minds of its designers. Today we do not have those problems any longer, so I could give my Copperplate Classic real sharp pointed serifs. Francker is a sans-serif typeface family based on clean and simple principles of design. The letterforms' curves are inspired by the "super ellipse," a mathematical shape that is about halfway between an ellipse and a rectangle. Francker's lowercase letters appear somewhat reduced, as the a, b, n and u have no spurs. The family is available in nine weights, from Extra Light to Extra Black. Excellent areas of use for Francker signage, posters, magazines, advertisements, or logos; wherever a timeless, modern look is needed. Avimode is bold, sharp, and futuristic. An original CubicType design with a design inspired by the holes and tracks on printed circuit boards. Architype Konstrukt is a collection of avant-garde typefaces deriving mainly from the work of artists/designers of the inter-war years, whose ideals have helped to shape the design philosophies of the modernist movement in Europe. Due to their experimental nature character sets may be limited. Architype Albers draws on early grid-based attempts by Josef Albers, in 1926, to design an alphabet by reducing the forms to purely geometric elements – the square, triangle and parts of a circle – and in the process creating an unusual stencil effect typeface.

The Bitstream version of Melior, a twentieth century modern face commissioned by Stempel and designed by Hermann Zapf in 1952. It is based on Zapf’s thoughts about the squared-off circle known as a super-ellipse. The type was originally intended as a newspaper text face by Linotype. Hermann Zapf’s Melior exhibits a robust character through classic and objective forms. Versatile and extremely legible, it can be used for a variety of texts and point sizes. Cyrillic version was developed by Natalya Vasilyeva and licensed by ParaType in 2002.

A monospaced companion of the Syke type family. Using the proportional typeface as the reference details are carefully drawn into specially chosen characters to help improve centre alignment, function, and readability. Syke mono has a modern aesthetic style that is distinctive and stands out from the typewriter crowd without being too overpowering making it ideal for computer coding, database applications, ebooks and other screen-based interfaces. Mr Brown is a typeface based on hand drawn letters to our new book for children. It has up to four alternate glyphs for each character. You can switch them manually or use OpenType Contextual Alternates feature. It will automatically set alternate glyphs de-pending on frequency of appearance of the same character. The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. It really works great but of course you can always fine tune it by hand.

Addressotype is based on lettering from a vintage ad for the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation, manufacturers of the Addressograph addressing machine. In days when the U.S. postal service delivered everything, mailing addresses were as important as email addresses are today. The Addressograph machines stamped out dog-tag-like plates that were used to print mailing labels at high volume. Embodying the company’s work ethic and durability, Addressotype recalls the gaspipe form of lettering popular in the 30s and 40s, updated to reflect the “streamlining” trend popular during the period.

The Swiss designer, Hans Eduard Meier, originally designed Barbedor for the Hell Digiset machine. Barbedor is based on handwritten humanist book scripts of the 15th century, and its chracters are typical of the style of those made by broad tipped pens. Tiny serif-like elements reveal the line of the writing utensil and emphasize the nature of this typeface. Classic and legible, Barbedor is a clear, harmonious typeface and an excellent choice for longer body texts. Its large choice of weights offers variety, which makes the typeface suitable for multiple design applications.

Zosimo is a neo-grotesque typeface created by designer Ron Gilad (Delicious Type) in cooperation with renowned typographer Oded Ezer based on his ubiquitous Alchemist typeface. Atrium, designed by Alex Jacque, is a strong, linear, geometric sans-serif display typeface based off century-old pen art by W.E. Dennis. Atrium's stubbornly geometric letterforms are set off with a few softening flourishes on a few glyphs. It's sharp corners, straight verticals and horizontals make Atrium pack some punch when used in headlines, pull quotes, and logotypes. Atrium was released in 2012 in OpenType format and comes in three different weights: light, regular, and bold, with a regular and oblique version of each for a total of 6 styles in the family.

Nimbussant Bresslo is a contemporary sans and attipic unicase were lowercase alternates with smallcaps creating an unusual look that can be used in posters, logo design and headings or small bold plain texts. This grotesque typeface supports most of the latin based languages and also kyrillic and greek alphabets. For a plus of a modern and young appeal, some of the letters have a very sharp, straight and minimalist body design but you may find also their stylistic alternates to better emulate the look you find more appropiate for your design.

Alphaluxe is a distinctive new typeface from Wesley Poole of Hawai’i. This vertical script packs a velvet punch. It compels attention like the best of the futuristic Moderne scripts from the 1930s, (refined by the 1950s) with none of the bulk. The shapes are strong, their rendering light. Fortunately, Mr. Poole can't break his addiction to elegance and sophistication. It's a classy alphabet. but not self-conscious or stereotypical. Contributing mightily to this effort is Rod Cavazos (Psy/Ops, San Francisco). Among today's typefaces, Alphaluxe is a rare achievement.

Decalcomania JNL is based on examples of gold and black water-applied initial decals made by the Transfer Monogram Company of Chicago circa the 1940s. It is presumed the patterns for the letters were hand cut, possibly explaining the variations in line widths and character shapes. These eccentricities were left intact and followed through to the other characters in order to represent a more "authentic" digital version of these vintage decals. Decalcomania JNL is available in both the regular (outline) version, and a solid black version, as well as obliques of both styles.

Architype Ingenieur was inspired by Wim Crouwel’s late 1950s exhibition catalogues and posters, for which he had created a few geometrically constructed, simplified letterforms. In the 1960 Venice Biennale Dutch entry poster, he drew grid-based letters with 45-degree angles for ‘olanda’, the style influenced by his boyhood fascination with naval lettering. A subtle variation appeared in the Stedelijk Museum catalogue for painter Jean Brusselmans. Several dot matrix versions followed. The themes and systems in these early letterforms are encapsulated in this new four weight family Architype Ingenieur.

This is a family of "Gothic" types from the Monotype Design Studio. The faces named "Gothic No. 1 through 4" were produced by Compugraphic. Gothic No. 1 is a condensed, late 19th century American-style sans serif typeface. Gothic No. 2 and Gothic No. 3 are based on the Metro #2 series, designed by W.A. Dwiggins for Mergenthaler Linotype during the 1920s and 30s. Gothic No. 4 looks vaguely like Gothic number one, but is heavier and smaller on the body. Created exclusively for an exhibition catalog for the exhibition 'Hail to the King, Baby!'. CA Hail to the King is based upon different letters taken from handmade signs from all over the world. You will find a lot of unexpected specials: irregular character sizes and styles (uppercase characters are bold; lowercase characters are in regular style) everything that makes CA Hail to the King so varied and unpredictable. In addition to west European diacritics an extensive central European character set were added including some very nice stylistic alternates.

MagMixer, a display typeface, was designed in 2005 for ParaType by Dmitry Kirsanov. During work on Magistral the designer had an idea of creating a more decorative face based on Magistral shapes but reflecting an industrial and mechanichal approach. Each glyph has maximal contrast between strokes and horizontal shift in shape. The result is some strange and enigmatic but legible letterforms with active inner rhythm. Its letters are reminiscent of building construction, chess board, and many other things that corresponding to author's task. For use in advertising and display typography.

Inspired by a dark techno typography design style which tends to utilize space of a module. Designed for headlines, titling, large-format prints and posters. Griffo Classico™ was produced by Franko Luin in 1993. It is a revival inspired by the types cut by Francesco Griffo for the Venetian printer Aldus Manutius at the end of the fifteenth century. The roman is based on the type Griffo cut in 1496 for Bembo's de Aetna," and the italic on a type he cut in 1501 for an edition of Virgil. Griffo did not make separate italic caps, so Luin designed his own for Griffo Classico. This is a serviceable family with five weights, including small caps.

The Armanen runes (or Armanen Futharkh) are a series of 18 runes, closely based on the historical Younger Futhark, introduced by Austrian mysticist and Germanic revivalist Guido von List in his Das Geheimnis der Runen (English: "The Secret of the Runes"), published as a periodical article in 1906, and as a standalone publication in 1908. The name Armanen runes associates the runes with the postulated Armanen, whom von List saw as ancient Aryan priest-kings. The Armanen runes continue in use today in esotericism and in currents of Germanic neopaganism.

Macho was designed in 2010 for MAN, Museo d'Arte Provincia di Nuoro, as a part of the corporate identity designed by Sabina Era. Macho is based on the idea of modular widths of the 20th-century typesetting systems, as the Olivetti Margherita and the hot-metal Linotype machine. The basic module is 7,5 percent of the body size (75 upm units) and every letter width is up to 20 modules. Every letter has the same width across different weights. Macho includes a large set of boxes and underlines that can be overlapped on the letters.

Drawn by Italian graphic designer Nicola Serradimigni, Drawboard is a fun, freeform display typeface. Serradimigni based each character on a rectangle and kept the use of curved shapes and diagonals to a minimum. Serradimigni had intended to use his sketches as a basis for a more precise outline, but we liked the spontaneity of the drawings so much that we encouraged him to keep that motif. The looseness of Drawboard is the result. The character set supports Central Europe, and includes some upper and lowercase alternates accessible via OpenType features.

Rohn Rounded is a rounded version of Rohn. This family is a modern squarish typefamily with a large x-height and soft feeling. Its letterforms are based on the shape of square with rounded corners. With particular details and large x- height, it is more legible at small sizes both on screen and paper. It has seven weights from Thin to Black with corresponding oblique styles and each weight includes ligatures, fractions, old style numbers, case-sensitive forms and more. Rohn Rounded is ideally suited for branding, logo, packaging, magazine, poster and editorial design.

German type designer Norbert Reiners created this sans FontFont between 1996 and 2010. The family has 7 weights, ranging from Book to Extra Bold (including italics) and is ideally suited for book text. FF Tarquinius provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures, small capitals, alternate characters, case-sensitive forms, fractions, and super- and subscript characters. It comes with a complete range of figure set options – oldstyle and lining figures, each in tabular and proportional widths. As well as Latin-based languages, the typeface family also supports the Cyrillic and Greek writing systems.

ITC Cushing has a long history. The typeface was originally designed by J. Stearns Cushing, a Boston-based book printer, and famous American type designer Frederic Goudy expanded it to include an italic weight. Under a special license from the American Type Founders, Vincent Pacella modified the design for ITC and added some additional weights. ITC Cushing is slightly condensed with large, bracketed serifs. Pacella changed the capital letters to better complement the lower case and replaced the sloping serifs of the italics to linear type serifs to produce ITC Cushing.

Wood Type Calendar JNL is a set of components for making monthly calendar pages. Based on a set of vintage wood type numbers, the dates 1 through 31 are found on the "A-Z" and "a-e" keys; the 23/30 and 24/31 ligatures are on the "f" and "g" keys. On the "h" and "i" keys are blank outline and solid blocks for balancing the calendar layout. The "j" through "u" keys have the names of the months, and the "1" through "7" keys contain the days of the week.
