This font is artistic. The shape of the letters was taken from the dot art that I worked on consistently. Letters are read by habit and feeling. Sometimes I also think for a moment about what this letter is. But, you soon find out. A brief pause and continuation is refreshing.

Oceantide Display is a whimsical and highly stylized nautical-themed font suitable for display use. The main focus is on standard English capital letters, with a few stylistic alternatives included. Lower case letters, numbers, and some symbols are included but are limited and there are a few limited international letters.

OpenBookING is a gimmick or novelty font that has letters on pages of a book. It is caps only and monospaced. The letters on the upper-case keys are on the left-handed pages of an open book and the letters on the lower-case keys are the same letters but on the right-handed pages of an open book. One could alternate upper and lower case keys to get letters on complete books, but the Opentype feature of contextual alternatives (calt) does this automatically. Several previous typefaces from IngrimayneType used the calt feature to alternate shapes that fit together in an interlocking pattern, such as alternating concave and convex shapes. OpenBookING uses the calt feature in a different way, to alternate two halves of a symmetrical shape. To provide two copies of numbers and common symbols, some non-alphabetical characters are unavailable because their slots were taken by the second form of the number or common symbol. If stylistic set one (ss01) is turned on, spaces are replaced with empty pages. This may leave you with unwanted spaces at the end of lines, and to eliminate them, turn off the feature (or change the font) for these spaces. The empty pages can be used in a layer to add color to the text. There is also a second set of empty pages with a filled page that can also be used in layers. (See poster for examples.) These pages are on the (logicalnot multiply) and (register divide) characters for the first set and on the (ordmasculine ellipsis) and (macron trademark) keys for the second set. Finally, OpenBookING has a large set of accented characters if anyone should need them. The letters used on the books were derived from the font Myhota-Bold. Dahaut is a stylized, modernistic uncial variation. The idea for this font came from a small sample of hand lettering in a title on a book by Peter Tremayne. The idea of a bolder, more angular variation on uncial script seemed intriguing, so we developed it into a full font. It should work very well for titles and catches the eye by presenting traditional uncial letter forms in an almost futuristic style. For those who care about such things, the name comes from a princess in a Breton folk story.

Architype Ingenieur was inspired by Wim Crouwel’s late 1950s exhibition catalogues and posters, for which he had created a few geometrically constructed, simplified letterforms. In the 1960 Venice Biennale Dutch entry poster, he drew grid-based letters with 45-degree angles for ‘olanda’, the style influenced by his boyhood fascination with naval lettering. A subtle variation appeared in the Stedelijk Museum catalogue for painter Jean Brusselmans. Several dot matrix versions followed. The themes and systems in these early letterforms are encapsulated in this new four weight family Architype Ingenieur.

Changing Times JNL was inspired by the hand lettering on the cover of the 1929 sheet music for "Wedding Bells (Are Breaking Up that Old Gang of Mine)". While the font’s name is an extremely vague reference to the subject of the song itself, it also represents the fact that the lettering style (still reflecting some Art Nouveau influence) welcomes the dawning of the Art Deco movement with the thick-and-thin line letter forms. 26 Flowers is a digital revival and restoration of a beautiful collection of 26 individually unique ornamental letters from historical texts. Each of the 26 letters of the alphabet are contained in a square frame with a different flower in the background and an antique letter in the top right corner; hence, the name 26 Flowers. Whitley is a handwritten signature font package with a personal charm. With a style that I feel is the first time being blended with a different brush so it has a natural hand. It includes Whitley Alt weights which have alternative characters, both with capital letters and small that is completely new. Ligatures are available for some lowercase letters (more natural double letters). This can be accessed through software with different devices or glyph panels, e.g. Photoshop / Illustrator.

The hand lettered title found on the 1924 sheet music for the tango “Sentimiento Gaucho” (“Sentimental Gaucho”) offered a different take on the thick-and-thin lettering that permeated the late 1920s through the Art Deco age. A ‘slash’ or ‘swipe’ is cut through the characters (similar to “Directa JNL” – another take on this type of design). Last Tango JNL is the digital recreation of this novelty lettering and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Cal Roman Modern is one more font from PKG “Cal” (Calligraphic) group. This time for calligraphic sketches we used a wide brush instead of the iron pen. Instead of minuscule letters, there are Small Caps (which are the same weight as capitals). Because there is no difference in the stroke thickness of capital letters and lowercase capital letters the difference in height is only one pen width, because of that, it is possible to use small capitals together with capital letters without noticing a difference in the thickness of the letters. Cal Roman Modern font is rhythmic, informal elegant, bright and light. As such, this font is widely used in the typographic creation of shorter text forms: magazine, catalogs and book titles, logos, posters, movie spots, banners...

Edits and Credits JNL is a cheerful sans serif typeface modeled from ceramic letters in a movie titling set from the late 40s or early 1950s. In the original kit, letters would be lined up accordingly against a contrasting background and photographed for home or professional movie and slide titles. Note: The cap height is slightly smaller than normal for the respective point size. This will give the effect of wider line spacing - similar to that of home movie titles.

Celluloid JNL was modeled from a few samples shown in a 1947 sales catalog for changeable letter directory boards and the various styles available for these signs. Prior to modern plastics, celluloid was the material used for these molded letters. Aside from the Regular and Oblique versions, there is also Celluloid Highlight JNL and Celluloid Highlight Oblique JNL.

Meatball is a fat and happy display font based on some lettering on a mid-20th century poster for the movie Bringing Up Baby. The lettering for the names of the stars, AudryHepburn, Cary Grant and Charles Ruggles, was the basis for Meatball. The sample was all caps and as it evolved, a lower case started to appear, etc.

Slightly blurred, and handwritten - looks good with massive text. With ligatures for both upper- and lowercase double letters, and alternate letters, also for upper- and lowercase, it makes your text look soooo smooth! Oh, I almost forgot: Nusqie also comes with ligatures for double numbers! You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

A vintage printer's cut for the masthead of the "Fed-O-Gram" (a monthly publication of the Farm Bureau Federation, Inc.) had its title set in letters that emulated a moving message board. This design formed the basis for what is Moving Message JNL.
