Cooper Black The Cooper Black font should be used in display sizes only. Cooper Blacks serifs are rounded and the counters are small. Cooper Black was designed by Oswald B. Cooper for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in 1921 for advertising and posters. The capital O and Q of the Cooper Black font are tilted back; in the lowercase, the dot on the I and j become elliptical. The extra bold Cooper Black font has a remarkable personality and reproduces well in sizes over 18 point in titles, subheadings and generally short sentences.

Linotype Tapeside is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. British designer Stephan B. Murphy created this typeface with light, regular and bold weights, each with its matching italic. Consciously awkward, the characters line themselves up and produce a young, lively image. Linotype Tapeside is best for headlines and shorter texts in point sizes of 12 and larger and its varying stroke strengths allow this font to be set more universally than others of its kind.

We named this font Scholz Secession. Fin-de-siecle Vienna, Austria is the source of this Jugendstil design from Schriftgiesserei Eduard Scholz. The original release was under the name Reklameschrift Secession. Most of the curve strokes look like commas to me. The letters are as soft and plump as the comforter on the bed I slept on in a Salzburg B&B many years ago. I was traveling with a college buddy and our next stop was Vienna. There a kind, young student named Hanna and her boyfriend took us under their wing. One of the places Hanna proudly showed us was Otto Wagner’s Majolika Haus, built in 1898, and only about 8 blocks from Secession Hall. Hanna explained to us that the style was called Jugendstil and represented Art Nouveau as interpreted within the framework of their culture. I even took a picture. After all, memories are part of who we are. Figures are old-style for text use. This font would not be my first choice for a spread sheet. Included are German ligatures ch (alt-0123) & ck (125), two period ornaments (135, 175) and lower case o and u with Hungarian long umlaut (215, 247)). A very likeable and easy-to-use font.

The design of Cyan was inspired by features found in classic Roman and styles like Trajan and Bodebeck. The characters stay true to the same features as the capitals, resulting in an unusually distinctive style. The Capitals version contains Roman numerals. Cyan's weight is similar to Trajan's but the horizontal strokes are slightly bolder resulting in better legibility for small sizes, especially for lowercase characters. Cyan Sans evolved out of the hugely successful Cyan Serif family. Cyan Sans retains the same geometric Roman proportions with open centers in B,P,R b, d, p . This helps create a thick and thin stroke illusion since the actual strokes don't vary much. There are many subtle details in Cyan Sans that become more interesting in larger sizes. The beauty of Cyan Sans is that it has no features that "jar" the eye. The result is a very pleasing and distinctive sans that scales well. Cyan Sans is a robust font that will exceed expectations in areas never explored before. The name is inspired by the Greek word cyan, meaning "blue". Amaro is the Italian word for bitter (amaro) herbal drinks like Ramazotti, Averna and a trillion lesser known ones. These liquors were the literal base for this elaborate set of four fonts. Each has different uppercase letters and some of the lowercase letters vary as well. Amaro-A, B, and C can be mixed freely. Newsletter is not a real monospaced font but has the ease of recognition these fonts have - even though these fonts are often criticized for their aesthetic qualities. XPawnShop is a typographical chess font; the pieces are letters. The Pawn is an awkward letter P, the knight is a horse in the shape of an h, the bishop is a decorative letter B, the rook is an elephant with an R shape, the queen is a Q, and the king is an ornate K. Two other XPawnShop fonts are made of very simple pieces, but as a bonus, both have the set of dominoes from the unicode block 1F030 to 1F093. The key layout is a bit complicated; see the key guide for detailed information on how to position pieces correctly.

Cottonwood is a group effort of the typeface artists K.B. Chansler, B. Lind and J. Redick and displays the unmistakable look of the Wild West. It is stylistically modelled on the typefaces used in advertisements and signage toward the end of the 19th century. Typical for these capital alphabets are the split serifs which emphasize the markedly decorative character. Cottonwood is a kind of homage to the Western typefaces (woodtypes) which became popular through their use on Wanted signs in Western films. Cottonwood is best used sparingly in headlines to best emphasize its decorative, 'wild' character.

A narrow, modern Slab Serif. JOSEFOV is directly derived from the sans serif text font ”Hedwig“. Therefore, of course, it pairs best with “Hedwig”. The basic thought was to create a font with heavy rounded serifs in the style of ”Clarendon“ but which hardly reminds one of that particular font. The form principle of rounded serifs is applied whenever possible — for example at the points where the individual strokes of the characters join one another. JOSEFOV seems very technical, very constructed (and truly is). In order to soften up the rigid impression, the serifs are applied at some points contrary to the tradition handed down, as with the upper case A C G K M V W and the lower case a b d h i j k l s t. Historically there is no example of the laterally oriented serifs of capital and small s (S) and C G. On the other hand, the double-sided serifs on the stems of b d h k l appear at the beginning of modern times in the very first serif types from five hundred years ago. The double-sided serifs of A M V W were also customary in the first decades of printing. JOSEVOV is particularly suitable for topics such as nature, folklore, culture, music, nutrition.
