CA Texteron is a modern text font family to cover the most common typographical needs with a minimum of weights. It is aiming for a serious but unconventional look, which is achieved by combining round and edgy forms in the same font, often in the same glyph, and by using Humanist and modern form-principles at the same time. It merges classical type-design with an experimental spirit. CA Texteron combines elements of the dynamic renaissance principle with the static neo-classic style, which makes it hard to classify. Neuarc Font Family This is the 20th font family of CozyFonts Foundry, established 10 years ago in 2012 with the release of Aladdin Bold. Neuarc is based loosely on arcs and curves, hence it’s naming. As shown in one of the font posters that serves to showcase this font, a collage of rough sketches is displayed as the poster’s background. These hand drawn pencil drawings were worked and reworked and The final drawings were scanned and built in Adobe Illustrator and transferred to glyph windows, glyph by glyph, in Fontlab 8. The 5 styles, so far, are reminisscent of The Art Deco Era of Design between the 1030s and 1950s. Neuarc also has it’s own footprint with several characters that stand out, eg. A, 8, &, B, ?, $, 5, w, x, a, c, e, etc. giving the reason for the ’Neu’ in the naming. These letterforms & Numbers work extremely well in monograms. Each styles has it’s own personality. From the ultra chic Light style to the dominant cool Bold style, this family maintains a uniform legibility at small to large sizes. Meant primarily for display uses, Neuarc works well for posters, logos, headlines, packaging, branding, signage for a myriad of applications. SHE'S DEAD, FRANK It's the year 1991, BC (Before Comicraft) when REM were still making records and Frank Miller’s memorable run on Marvel Comics’ DAREDEVIL was just over ten years old. Comicraft’s Richard Starkings found himself working in Anaheim, California for Graphitti Designs. Graphitti had produced the first hardcover edition of Miller’s Batman tale, DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and was now putting together the sequel to Miller’s DAREDEVIL — ELEKTRA LIVES AGAIN! Richard was not engaged to letter this book, the pages of Frank’s incredible original art that came through Graphitti’s studio were already lettered by Marvel Stalwart, Jim Novak. However, there were some cover elements that needed to be added, based on the logo originally rendered by Frank’s brother, Steve. Starkings set about the task of creating an alphabet that could be used to develop Steve’s idea for the trade dress -- the cover elements, the back cover copy and credits on the interior pages. This was long before Macintosh computers and font programs made this work considerably easier, so Rich sat down with a pencil and a sheet of vellum and rendered an alphabet that could be used as the basis for the text that was needed... Those sketches have languished in a drawer for nearly thirty years, but now, finally, Comicraft’s John Roshell has dusted off those old letterforms and Elektrakuted a font based on those designs, a font we HAD to call ELEKTRAKUTION! As for Elektra; she’s dead, Frank. Big, expansive and flat on top; that’s a land formation called a mesa. “Mesa” was the first name for Strata Bold Rounded Serif, but it turns out it’s someone else’s registered trademark; in any case, if you need a bold, extended mono-height font that’s great for logotype, you could, as we used to say in the Mid-West, do a whole lot worse. SBRS is the final generation of an evolution that started with Mesa begating Mesa Bold which begat Mesa Bold Rounded which culminated in this evolutionary superior product. Use it!

We have adapted the version of our Arquitecta font for use in Microsoft Office™. It only has 4 variants: regular, italic, bold and bold italic. Font weights have been named in a way that can be clearly shown up in the font list in Office™ programs for the sake of a good hierarchy (the bold variant is quite bold and does not look the same as the original font). Arquitecta Office update: Improvements of proportions and drawing. The set was extended to the current one of Latinotype.

Once I set on the concept for this ‘Origami’ inspired font, I used an imaginary strip of folded paper as the basis for each character, the folded effect being realized fully by incorporating an incised line. Of course the folded paper aspect is just a two dimensional illusion but subconsciously, will automatically be interpreted three dimensionally. There are numerous options for creating alternative characters following this logic, as the centuries-old Origami tradition itself illustrates quite clearly, but I wanted to maintain an ordered sense of style and balance throughout the full character set, so avoided any unnecessary flourishes, staying true to the Japanese ethos and spirit.

At times, one source of inspiration can generate more than one idea. This was the case with the 1918 sheet music for the song "You're Still an Old Sweetheart of Mine". The cover displays the title in a hand lettered narrow Art Nouveau Sans serif style. A number of characters were revised and the overall font was compressed by 25% to create a whole new look and feel. The end result became Slim Nouveau JNL. This was the same material used to originally model Easy Money JNL, which is truer to the original lettering design. The font is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Mountain is a digital revival and extension of Teutonia, an old metal typeface released by the Roos & Junge type foundry (Offenbach am Main, Germany) in 1902. Teutonia’s design was popular during both the Art Nouveau and the Constructivist eras, where similar letterforms could be seen as far away as the Soviet Union. Although it slipped under the radar during the 1930s and 40s, this style feels extremely contemporary today. Mountain’s underlying geometric feeling is reminiscent of pixels and grids, suiting it for application with music and art, as well as history. Yet this typeface is not as static as it seems at first glance; playful diagonals—like those seen on the capitals D, L, P, and W—enliven the otherwise stern horizontal and vertical motion. Teutonia was a simple upper and lowercase display type. Mountain adds upon these by adding small caps and obliqued italic companions, rounding out this typographic toolkit.

Baro is a powerful, fun and expressive font, great for loud, cheerful and super-fat headlines and packaging for odd novelty toys. With its bold and distinctive stylized geometric forms, it is ideal for logos, heavy machinery and wacky party invites. Baro had its beginning in a handful of rigidly geometric uppercase letters from an unidentified 1960�s or 70�s era press-down lettering font, which in turn was possibly a revival of a 20�s era Art Deco font. The exercise quickly expanded into a complete typeface with 300+ characters, including several catch words (word glyphs), stylistic alternates, discretionary ligatures, multilingual support and both lining and old style numerals. Baro maintains much of the characteristic geometric rigidity of the original handful of letters, but � With the addition of just a little bit of flare, a bit of cheerfulness breaks through, like a wink and a smile on the face of a fat and otherwise stern policeman.

Inspired by butcher shop and supermarket window advertising, Beefcakes™ emulates "big brush” style lettering – with a contemporary twist. The design of Gondolieri has its origins in an experiment to combine aspects of Didone and Tuscan typefaces. The result has a continental 'Italianate' feel. If you wonder what lies behind the name, just look at the lower case 'f'...definite overtones of a Venetian Gondola here, and throughout the design. Gondolieri is offered in regular and bold weights, as well as a simplified form for smaller text use. All of these are available in three widths. The Gondolieri family has a lovely Didone, 'Belle Epoch' feel for use in design, posters, book covers and so forth. An extensive range of Opentype features, including ligatures and terminal forms is included in the regular and bold faces.

The vintage typeface returns with the Caniste typeface family. My passion for something with a vintage aesthetic is one reason I created Caniste. Inspired by antique ephemera such as cigar box labels that were common in the 19th century, it harkens back to the beauty of typographic design at that time. The Caniste font family is an all-caps serif font with uppercase titling. It comes in 6 weights: Extra Light, Light, Regular, Semibold, Bold, and Ultra Bold. The Ctoxina family is growing. Due to the success the author decided to add an outline version of the font. The typeface is now available in 6 different styles: light, light italic, regular, italic, bold and bold italic. The Atoxina family is designed especially for the burgeoning market of starships and other space cruisers. The fonts are ideal for internal and external use (including zero-g and occasional bursts of cosmic rays), and with their simplified forms are expected to survive well in non-linear galaxies. With their unusual diagonal half-pixels the fonts are striking as abstract designs at astronomical sizes, where small text may be placed within the black holes formed inside the letters.

Curwen Sans is a monoline sans-serif dating from the early twentieth century. Though contemporary with Johnston’s Underground and Gill Sans, and emerging from the same artistic milieu, Curwen Sans was created solely for in-house use at the Curwen Press in London so never achieved a wide audience or recognition. The original face was cut only in a Medium weight, but the new digital family consists of four weights, each with an optically corrected Oblique, and all containing a full complement of Latin Extended-A characters. K-Type Curwen Sans comprises three packages: • Basic Family (Regular, Oblique, Bold, and Bold Oblique) • Light (Light and Light Oblique) • Medium (Medium and Medium Oblique)

Churchward 69 is a ten weight typeface family originally designed during the late 1960’s by the late type designer Joseph Churchward. From the extremely condensed Regular weight to the outlandishly heavy Ultra Black, this square sans serif makes an audacious statement. Even the Italics are extreme at their 17 degree angle! Churchward 69 includes 5 weights, Regular, Bold, Extra Bold, Black, and the gorgeous Ultra Black, and their italics. Joseph sure knew how to draw heavy weights! All members of the Churchward 69 family have OpenType features, including proportional and tabular figures, unlimited fractions, superior and inferior figures, and ordinals. Each font also has an extensive character set to support many western European languages.
