The name Norden means “the Nordic”, as in the geographical area or its countries. Inspired by the simplicity of Nordic and Scandinavian design, the Norden fonts give you clarity of expression, beyond the usual geometric look and feel of traditional sans-serifs. Open and spacious, the shapes of the glyphs play both with and against each other. Round and soft versus square and solid, a basic curve versus a straight line, creating a detached yet distinct style of expression, from the light-as-air Hairline to dark and Bold. The Display variant has diagonal as well as slightly rounded ends, similar to the Standard version but with and edge, so to say. As its name suggests, this font is intended for use in headlines and/or for small chunks of text at medium and large sizes. Norden comes in three variants: Standard, Round and Display.

Grafical is a contemporary take on 19th-century sans serifs. In this family, the amount of geometry inherent within the letterforms has been amped up. Many shapes have received further streamlining, too. All the geometric forms you see have been optically corrected, ensuring their delivery of better legibility. Arabetics Harfi is a Latin Serif typeface with a comprehensive support for the Arabetic scripts, including Quranic texts. Careful spacing and kerning was used to enhance resulting text legibility both scripts. Arabetics Harfi fully supports MS 1252 Western and 1256 Arabic code pages, in addition to all transliteration characters required by the ALA-LC Romanization tables. Users can either select an accented character directly or form it by keying the desired combining diacritic mark following an unaccented character. For Arabic, it fully supports Unicode 6.1, and the latest Arabic Supplement and Extended-A Unicode blocks. The Arabic design of this font family follows the Mutamathil Taqlidi type style with connected glyphs, but it emphasizes a horizontal look and feel rather than verticalone, utilizing slightly varying x-heights. The Mutamathil Taqlidi type style uses one glyph per every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined by the Unicode Standards, and one additional final form glyph, for each freely-connecting letter of the Arabic cursive text. Arabetics Harfi includes the required Lam-Alif ligatures in addition to all vowel diacritic ligatures. Soft-vowel diacritic marks (harakat) are selectively positioned with most of them appearing on similar high and low levels—top left corner—, to clearly distinguish them from the letters. Tatweel is a zero-width glyph. Arabetics Harfi includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals, in addition to generous number of punctuation and mathematical symbols. It includes two weights, regular and bold, each of which has normal, right slanted Italic, and left-slanted styles.

Sirba, a serif typeface family with a friendly personality, was conceived especially for the demands in complex text environments like dictionaries, academic texts, annual reports, novels and magazines. It has many design features that were particularly designed with Sirba’s purpose in mind. Because of its open counters, the large x-height and its short ascenders and descenders, this typeface conveys a pleasant reading experience and high legibility even in small sizes. Sirba is a low-contrast typeface, contemporary but with a classical touch, revealing its beauty in design details, such as the asymmetrical bottom serifs, curved bracketing and calligraphically reminiscent terminals. Furthermore, the capitals appear integrated into the text, thanks to the low cap height, and the constant width of all tabular numbers between the weights make this typeface very usable in annual reports and tables. Sirba is available in the four classic styles plus a special heavy (Black) version, which is particular in that its proportions are designed so the counters remain big enough when set in very small text sizes. This means that Sirba Black’s spacing and letter width are rather generous in comparison to other typefaces of that colour. This ensures excellent legibility. During the design of the typeface family, much attention was given to the italic and regular as counterparts of each other. The italic distinguishes itself just enough while reading without creating strange spots within the text when looking at the text as a whole.

The Estrangelo Edessa was developed by The Syriac Computing Institute and Microsoft to support the Syriac script. Syriac is written from right to left, like Arabic and Hebrew. You computer system must be properly enabled with keyboard layout and text input services (IME) to use this font. The Syriac letter forms in Estrangelo Edessa were designed by Paul Nelson and George Kiraz. The design is based on types from an Ohioan press, probably designed after a 1954 Estrangelo Monotype font. The Monotype font was designed with the assistance of R. Draguet, and in turn is based on an 1851 type used in Estrangelo Talada. Some symbols, including numerical symbols are based on the monospaced Courier type design. The Estrangengelo Edessa font first appeared in Windows XP.

Monospaced become very popular among graphic designers. Nevertheless, I’ve noticed that in most cases that designers use monospaced typefaces is not because of their particular features caused by the strict rules of design — all characters share the same advanced width — rather because of it’s ‘electronic derived’ appearance. So, I decided to create a typeface that keeps the characteristics that, in my opinion attract designers to this particular sort of types, but deliberately break the main rule: characters do not share the same width — but they they look like they do! Characters are better balanced compared to truly monospaced types, giving more even typographic color while used in text setting. One weight might enough to please electronic type lovers. Designed in 2000.

RaseDowne is unique amoung all of our other Graffiti Fonts. This font is intended to be rotated 90 degrees clockwise so the text reads downward. This single font includes 2 alphabets with capitals that extend downwards. The RaseDowne font was created from hundreds of handwritten samples. This style was created by RaseOne & is often used to create tattoo designs, fashion designs and mountable artwork. There are actually nearly 3 full alphabets plus numbers, symbols and a variety of embellishments all included in this one font. OakPark is a decorative or display family with an Art-Deco feel. It has high contrast with very thick stems that invite decoration. Eight members of the family have interior decoration and can be used individually or in layers over the regular style and under hollow style to create colorful text displays. These ten members are all-caps, but about half of the letters on the lower-case keys differ in some way from their counterparts on the upper-case keys. There is also a shadowed style and it can be layered with a shadowinside style. Completing the family are a style that has true lower case characters with an accompanying italics, and a style that has small caps on the lower-case keys.

Tabac Slab was created by combining several contradictory influences, the result of which is a universal linear font. The combination of brisk serifs and refined calligraphic details in the structure of the characters serves to create an original concept that mixes influences from both book and advertising graphics. Serifs aid legibility in long texts, while small drawn details realise their full potential in sizes of twenty-four points and larger. The basis for our Egyptienne was Tabac Sans, with which Slab logically forms a harmonic duo. The addition of bracket-less serifs caused the typeface to thicken and become solidly anchored on the lines, giving a firm answer to all typographers who like to complain about the slight exuberance of grotesque fonts.

Calton is a utilitarian workhorse sans serif family. It’s designed to work in as many environments as possible, from small text to big headlines. The roman and italic styles work well for any typographical situation while the stencil really packs a punch and shines as a display family. The design has a hint of familiarity from classical humanist sans serifs, but the proportions are much more economical and the detailing is distinctly modern. All styles come in eight weights, from Thin to Black and the family is well suited for film and TV, advertising, editorial design, packaging, branding, logo, sports, web and screen design. 1776 Independence was designed inspired mainly from the Caslon typeface used by John Dunlap in the night of 1776 July 4th in Philadelphia to print the first 200 sheets of the Congress' Declaration of Independence establishing the United States of America. I just added accented letters and a few others, with respect for the original design. A render sheet,enclosed with font file, help to identify them on keyboard. It can be used as web-site titles, posters and fliers, editing ancient texts, menus or greeting cards as a very decorative font... This font supports as easily enlargement or small size, remaining clear and easy to read from 8 or 9 points to 72 and over. It gives a smart look especially to prints.

The other day, I was thinking how time flies and how my kids grow up so fast. In the blink of an eye, they had turned from babies into almost-teenagers. They're not teenagers yet, but given their tantrums, it does feel like I have three teenagers in the house... ;-) Ogenblik, in Dutch, means: ‘in the blink of an eye’, ‘lightning fast’, or ‘for a brief moment’. It’s similar to the German ‘Augenblick’, which means exactly the same. Ogenblik was made with the same dried out marker pen that helped me create my font Castlerigg. I guess it had more than one extra font in it! Ogenblik is a bit of a grungy, yet quite legible and neat font. Comes with multilingual support.

Crepe Paper JNL is an alphabet-only novelty font that creates a wavy ribbon headline with a vintage wood type alphabet that somewhat resembles an unfurled stretch of crepe paper. The upper case A-Z keys will produce a white ribbon banner with black letters, while the lower case a-z keys are white letters on a black background. The end caps for the white banner are on the left and right parenthesis keys, while the end caps for the black banner are on the bracket keys. A blank space is located on the period key for the white banner and on the comma key for the black banner. This will allow for a continuous text banner without an open break due to using the space key.

New Old English was prompted by two Victorian coins, the mid nineteenth century gothic crown and gothic florin, which featured a gothic script lowercase with quite modern looking, short ascenders and descenders enabling it to fit snugly around the queen’s head or heraldic motif. With thicker hairline strokes than normal Old English, a less sharp, warmer feel than lettering scripted with a pen, and circular instead of rhombic punctuation, this font is an attempt to capture the round-cornered softness of the die-struck lowercase blackletter. To increase harmony and homogeneity between the cases, the uppercase is narrower and simpler than is customary, without the excessive width or antiquated flamboyance of the traditional blackletter. It might even allow text set in capitals to look acceptable.

Hokagata is a casually and quickly written brush script. Letters are made with brush pen on a paper. Then scanned and carefully drawn into vector format. There is just a right amount of texture left so it looks good in small and big sizes. These elements gives Hokagata its organic, authentic and laid-back characteristics. Speedy Space Goat Oddity is the font with really interesting mood. My purpose was to transfer freedom, immediacy, and a bit of insanity with it. I've painted it with self-made paint and brush in a trippy environment. You can use Speedy Space Goat Oddity almost everywhere (not for body text). It's great for posters, clothes design, package design, music album covers. Also, with the right approach, you can use it as horror font. Introducing the first typeface by Azure studio, Space 101! Space 101 is a handcrafted chalkboard reminiscent typeface with irregular slender lines and a quirky personality. This typeface is perfect to add character and charm to bodies of text and heading where the slight imperfections tie your whole design together. The inspiration for Space 101 was found in an old signwriting book. The character shapes were updated and improved while still retaining the same charm. The typeface gave me interstellar space travel vibes reminiscent of early books based around space travel, which is why I decided to call it Space 101.
