Another gem from the Blandford Press Pen and Brush Lettering and Practical Alphabets, this in-your-face typeface features strong geometric elements, delineated in blueprint fashion. In his book Brushstroke and Free-Style Alphabets, Dan X. Solo called this typeface "Tamarind Script" but, whatever its name, this sparkly little gem will add rollicking retro charm to any project it graces. In his book Showcard Alphabets, Dan X. Solo called this little gem "Whitestone Scrawl". This version is beefed up slightly and the letter proportions have been altered somewhat, but it's still LOADS of fun. The Dutch De Stijl movement (1917-1931) sought to create an art which took abstraction to its logical extreme, as exhibited in the paintings of Piet Mondrian. Adelita by Adela de Bara, Laura Meseguer / OpenType, 4 styles   Adelita has its origins from Adela de Bara’s hand drawings, a display typeface with balls at the end of the strokes. Helped by Laura Meseguer, this artist entered our catalogue in the nineties with four weights: three display faces and a collection of naive dingbats.

Camelia is an demi–slab display type family with reversed strokes to achieve an unexpected look and rythm. Was designed and optimized for use in large sizes. It is inspired by the geometric typefaces of the 1920s and the egyptiennes of the 1930s. An emphasis on circular and rectangular shape give it the identity.

Sheet music for a song featured in "East to West", a film starring Mexican bombshell Dolores Del Rio, had the movie's name lettered in a bold sans style with early Art Deco influences. East to West JNL preserves not only the name, but all of the characteristics of this wonderful bit of typographic nostalgia.
