Robert Moore is a font that was specially designed for comics. A lot of work has been done. At first, glyphs were drawn manually using different markers, then they were transferred to the font. The font was tested on real printing and digital comics. The world of fonts for comics is big and I wanted to create even more variability for authors with one family, which is why a variable version was created containing two axes: weight and italics. This gives you more options. A large number of glyphs, multilingualism, ligatures, and a capital give even more scope for work and creativity. The name was created from the names of the authors of the comics Robert Kirkman and Alana Moore, so the Robert Moore font turned out. Although the font was made for comics, it is not limited to them. Posters, logos, covers, text, headings, prints, product design, web, interfaces are not all options for using the font.

This typeface is based on lettering by Carl Marx (1911?1991), designed during his first semester at the Bauhaus in Joost Schmidt?s class, in 1932. Although the letter proportions are based on Schmidt?s teachings, the forms are not constructed from compass and ruler, but drawn with brush and marker, lending the words a warm and lively touch. Hidetaka Yamasaki redrew the letters from scratch and added all missing characters for today?s needs. A set of hanging figures, alternates for some critical letterforms (such as f, r, and t) as well as several ligatures make CarlMarx especially suitable for use in body text. As suggested by Marx, Yamasaki captured two weights from the original drawing and perfectly adjusted light and bold to highlight words and create hierarchy in headlines ? without losing or adding space. True to the original, Yamasaki captured the wobbly contour in CarlMarx, preserving warmth in the condensed geometric style of the early 1930s.

Standard Request is 100% handmade, and was inspired by both grafitti and comic book lettering. When viewed at large sizes, the handmade look and feel really stands out - at the same time, Standard Request, is super legible even at really small sizes. I've added 5 slightly different versions of each letter, and they automatically cycle as you type!

A sign at the 81st Street (Museum of Natural History) New York subway stop provided the pattern for this mosaic tile face. The font features a full-tile background at the bar position (shift-backslash) and left-and-right pointing fists at the brace positions as well as complete Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

X RUFFIAN Ruffian was a champion thoroughbred horse who won 10 consecutive races. A feat worth mentioning & repeating. Her tenacity & steadfast approach established the basis for this variable based font. The X represents both the Roman numeral 10, but also the X-factor for creating bespoke works of art. It is quite befitting that this font be named after a legendary champion. Which begs the question...Do you champion variety? X Ruffian's design motif uses a broad tipped chiseled marker that was set at an angle for that extra bit of vigor. Identical letter forms defeat that truly "hand rendered" look that we ultimately strive for. Each uppercase letter offers 10 (X) or more stylistic alternatives, the lowercase and number sets have 3+ options and an over under for those special characters that yield a long bottom or top (see images). Ligatures & bonus characters can add that unique offering to your already individual style & can easily be found via the glyphs panel in any open type program. With a gigantic glyph count of 688, you'll never run out of options. As a right of passage, we felt obliged to include a roman numeral set as the name beckons, which differs from the standard letter form in which you would use to create. This is a variable winner. Film Noir JNL is a classic Art Deco Alphabet from the brush of the late master sign painter Alf R. Becker, and appeared in Signs of the Times Magazine. Thanks to Tod Swormstedt of ST Media and the American Sign Museum for providing the reference material to make this font.

Omoshiroi is a display monospace handwriting font. The typeface is a distinct hand drawn font using a marker pen. The Omoshiroi name is derived from the Japanese word omoshiroi (おもしろい) meaning "interesting" or "amusing". Omoshiroi is great for display work, invitations, writing, architecture, posters, labels and headings.

Once I ate a knuckle sandwich after saying some things about some guy's pregnant girlfriend. It turns out she wasn't pregnant at all. I felt like a real knucklehead. So I made this font. Use the font where ever you like. Just be sure you know what you are talking about, or you too could end up with knuckles flying at your head.

A 1926 trade ad for the silent comedy “The Nut-Cracker” starring Edward Everett Horton has the film’s title hand lettered in a decorative bold sans serif design complete with highlight lines and accent dots. This festive type face is now available digitally as Movie Matinee JNL in both regular and oblique versions.
