Knoedel offers full coverage for all languages using Latin alphabet: whole Europe, America, Oceania and on a big number of African and Asian countries. Besides the standard ligatures, Knoedel, additionally, has more than 200 discretionary ligatures and a generous number of borders and ornaments. Cassandra Plus is my revised version of Cassandra, it can now be used all over Europe except Greece and Russia. I changed the weights a bit to make them more distinct. The Font has two widths of letters, wide Capitals on the (shift) uppercase-keys and narrow ones on the (no shift) lowercase-keys. You can match them as you like, but you should avoid having the same letter in one word in two different widths. But if yoyu are really daring you can use one narrow S and a wide one, it might still look good. It will almost always look good! Cassandra is my “bow” to Adolphe Mouron Cassandre. “Redzone” is a versatile display family developed as the workhorse typeface for the “Ultimate Football League”, a fictional football league passion project. Quite simply, it takes on a slightly different feel than the original pin matrix grid by stroking across all horizontal glyph lines. The horizontal lines add more readability to the original grid and lend a more sci-fi vibe to the family. Introducing the first typeface by Azure studio, Space 101! Space 101 is a handcrafted chalkboard reminiscent typeface with irregular slender lines and a quirky personality. This typeface is perfect to add character and charm to bodies of text and heading where the slight imperfections tie your whole design together. The inspiration for Space 101 was found in an old signwriting book. The character shapes were updated and improved while still retaining the same charm. The typeface gave me interstellar space travel vibes reminiscent of early books based around space travel, which is why I decided to call it Space 101. The English typographer Robert Harling created Tea Chest in 1939 with the Stephenson Blake foundry. Today, this classic design is available in digital format from Linotype GmbH. Tea Chest is a bold stencil face. The font's narrow letters are all caps, and they sport small, slab serifs. Harling's design was most likely reminiscent of the old industrial lettering painted onto boxes and wooden crates that used to be shipped all over the world on the high seas. The TYMA Garamont Roman was inspired by the Berner-Egenolff type sample from the 1560s. The Italic was inspired by a sample from Robert Granjon, also from the 1560s. The name TYMA is short for AB Typmatriser, a Swedish company founded 1948, because the Second World War stopped all import of matrices for Linotype and Intertype typesetting machines. It took until 1951-52 before the import was up to speed again. Until then, Sweden had to fend for itself. TYMA produced all technical equipment needed for type production, including the pantograph to cut the matrices, a complete set for each size and version. The templates for Garamont Roman were initiated by Henry Alm 1948. Bo Berndal was hired the following year, and continued the work by drawing and cutting templates for the rest of Garamont Roman, as well as for the remaining Garamont family. Bo Berndal stayed at TYMA until it went bankrupt in 1952. At that time Bo Berndal had already kick-started his career as type designer by drawing the typeface Reporter for one of the big daily newspapers, Aftonbladet, a version of Cheltenham for another daily, Dagens Nyheter, and copied several old typefaces for other customers. Librarian Sten G. Lindberg at The Royal Library of Stockholm, Kungliga Biblioteket, procured copies of original type samples. Henry Alm started the work in 1948, and Bo Berndal completed it - finally in this OpenType version.
