Haglos Script was inspired by Modern Vintage & Retro style in combination with old American traditional style. It's bold and has amazing swashes. In my examples I show how this script can be used. It's very well suited for logotypes, product labels, food flyer, and others.

Nice typographic experiment consisting of the progressive "bodonization" I have summarized in two steps, by a letter drawn with the same concentration and intensity with which Paris Hilton reading a book, to get something like the sketches that Mr. Gianbattista used to Wrap the sandwich.

Pavement is a display typeface, based on the roughness and hardness of a street tile. I wanted to make a font with some real streetvibes, so it can easily be used for all kind of street cultures like music, (stencil) graffiti, street-art and fashion.

The first cuts of Kabel appeared in 1927, released by the German foundry Gebr. Klingspor. Like many of the typefaces that Rudolf Koch designed for printing use, Kabel is a carefully constructed and drawn. The basic forms were influenced by the Ancient Roman stone-carved letters, which consisted of just a few pure and clear geometric forms, such as circles, squares, and triangles. Koch also infused Kabel with some elements of Art Deco, making it appear quite different from other geometric modernist typefaces from the 1920s, like Futura. Linotype has two versions of Kabel in its library. Kabel has a shorter x-height, with longer ascenders and descenders, making it a bit truer to Koch's original design than the second version, ITC Kabel, which was designed by Victor Caruso. This version, also known in the United States as Cable, has a larger x-height, shorter ascenders and descenders, more weights ,and a diamond shaped i-dot. Neo Sans began as an intriguing assignment from a branding agency. The agency’s client wanted an “ultra modern” type family that was "futuristic without being gimmicky or ephemeral.” When a bureaucratic decision cancelled the project, Monotype staff designer Sebastian Lester decided to finish the design on his own. “I was left with a sketchbook full of ideas,” he said, “and thought it would be a shame not to see what came of them.” Lester decided that the principal ingredient of an "ultra modern" typeface was simplicity of character structure: a carefully drawn, monoline form, open letter shapes and smooth, strong curves. By further amplifying these qualities, he crossed the line from modern to futuristic. Two highly functional and versatile typefaces emerged. These are Neo Sans and Neo Tech, designs Lester describes as "legible without being neutral, nuanced without being fussy, and expressive without being distracting." ‘Scion’ is an original design by Alex Kaczun. The inspiration for the typeface came from the Toyota SCION logo, which bears its name. In Alex’s own words, "I loved the simplicity, proportions and hi-tech look of the logo and decided to create an entire new design series based on its unique look". The fonts come in five flavors: thin, light, regular, bold and black. All the font weights were designed systematically on tabular widths so that the user can make adjustments to overall type color without changing the line length. In addition, Alex Kaczun has provided us with several alternate glyph substitions to further enhance the overall appeal of this contemporary new design. Regina-Cursiv is a warm, bold, casual typeface. Its friendly, rounded curves remind me of the line from a gospel song by the Canton Spirituals, about "smoothin' up the roughway." Jointly released by the Bauer and Berthold foundries of Germany during the fin-de-siecle period, this typeface has some cultural flexibility. There are alternate versions of the uppercase ‘H’ and ‘I’ that can be chosen to reflect a humanist or blackletter tradition, whichever you prefer. Other alternates offer various stylistic choices. Regina Cursiv is a friendly, comfortable font. You will enjoy using it. Alternative letters: D, E, G, I, K, S, T, d, h, k, m, n and z. The numerals are old-style figures.

Tangential is a distinctive modern sans in 3 weights which was born out of a simple idea: Beginning the project with a perfect circle to form the letter ‘o’, then squaring off one corner, ending up with a letterform I hadn't seen before for that character; this for me was enough motivation to attempt a full alphabet incorporating the angled styling wherever possible. The Tangential style I envisaged for the family is complemented by the prominent use of negative space throughout, most apparent on the drop shaped ‘o’ which is a key feature of the typeface and a letterform I'm particularly pleased with. The core Tangential design is also accompanied by two further variations, Rounded & SemiSerif.

I live in a small hamlet near the Rhine river. It is a sleepy little town and it doesn’t have any facilities. For groceries I need to go to the next town. The only road leading to that town has been closed for half a year, because of ‘maintenance’, so doing groceries got a lot trickier. The fastest way to travel is through yet another hamlet in the forest, on a very narrow road with extremely bumpy shoulders. Yes, you’ve guessed it: it is a Bumpy Ride. Bumpy Ride was made using a so called Brush Pen. It comes with all the accents and a sweet set of alternates for the lower case letters.

Right now it is melon time: the supermarkets are full of them: Galia, Honey Dew, Piel de Sapo… Back in Casa Hanoded we're quite happy with the abundance of melons! So, when I created this cute little font, naming it was easy. Honey Dew is a shaky all caps font with different upper and lower case glyphs. I created alternate letters for both upper and lower case closed glyphs (like a, b, d, o, etc.) - including their accented brethren (aacute, abreve, acircumflex), etc. There is an alternate & and @, plus the Æ, Œ, Ø, æ, œ, ø, þ and Þ. You should have guessed by now that Honey Dew comes with a whole stack of diacritics.

TIP: Through trial and error, I feel Royal Tropic works best with clean serif/sans-serif fonts. Any other 'handwritten' fonts can disturb the rough/clean contrast, taking with it some of the impact of your design.
