An old rubber stamp printing set called the Aristocrat Sign Marker was the inspiration for this font from Jeff Levine. The letter shapes are truly reminiscent of the 1920s and early 30s with their casual playfulness, hence the font's name of Casual Friday JNL. To add a more nostalgic touch, the characters show slight imperfection of shape, as if hand-lettered.

Teapot is a font with letters on teapots. Upper-case letters have the handles on the right and lower-case characters have the handles on the left. There was a time in this country when many young people studied a trade via a correspondence course through the mail. While this method still exists, it's now more common to find students taking online classes. From an early-1960s course in sign painting comes Sign Merchant JNL, a classic brush stroke type design popularized on show cards and posters.

The hand lettered credits for the 1940 horror film “The Invisible Woman” look more like they would show up in a movie about a college football game. A bold, condensed slab serif type design, it’s perfect for many sports-themed graphics projects. The digital version has been aptly named College Game JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Another unmistakable Koziupa/Paul production, Ricotta has very little baby fat for a sturdy brush script. What movement it shows is effective and integral to its expression, which is at once compact, lush and eye-catching. Coronard is another of Greater Albion's explorations of 'Evolutionary' type. In this case we imagine a transition from Blackletter to Roman forms. Coronard shows that posited transition in all its simple calligraphic splendor, providing a beautifully legible face for invitations and certificates, as well as for lettering and signage that needs to be readable but to have a gothic flair.

Roughcast is a kind of outside plaster, composed of cement and pebbles. It’s not the best looking plaster and it is estimated that in the UK, a roughcast outer reduces the value of a house by 5%. I am in the middle of renovating our old farm, but I won’t cover it in roughcast! Roughcast font is actually quite an attractive brush font. I made it with a brush I found hiding underneath my stove (where it had been for a while). I cleaned it and used it to make a couple of fonts, including Roughcast. Roughcast is best used for packaging, book covers and posters.

Meila is a cheerful font, visually featuring bold and cute characters. Meila has smooth lines on each side, especially on the outside, almost no sharp corners. On the inside there is only one line that functions as a counter space. We made as little sidebaring as possible on each letter character, so that each character letter would intersect and that made "Meila" look solid, fat but still soft and huggable. Meila consists of several style variants and thickness variants, namely; Lines, Strokes and Solids. Meila is very suitable for children's themed designs or others such as; T-Shirt Designs, Birthday invitations, Product packaging, Logos etc.

Neometric is a contemporary sans serif that is built from a geometric foundation but with a more natural approach to the heavier weights creating an enhanced visual approach throughout. Dever’s brute, industrial lines are rounded up in this new typeface from Jeremy Dooley. Dever combines plenty of inspirations. It’s the flair of the Wild West melded with a shout out to the sign painters and package lettering artists of the 1800s. Dever’s big, bold, and handy frame moves through all three of the family’s strapping members. First is the sans. No doubts on what this brother’s like. Dever Sans is as straight-forward as you’ll find in this family with its four separate weights and numerous distressed options. The second of the kin’s a bit of half-breed, you might say. Pointed serifs bring a sharpness to this outfit. Rounding out the family is Dever Wedge, a bit of wild rodeo all its own. Every time I bring my youngest son to his swimming lessons, I need to show my Covid Vaccination Pass; a QR code on my phone. I thought that I would be off the hook after I showed it the first time, but no, not at the swimming pool! It feels a bit like a bad comic book, so I decided to name this comic book style font Identity Check. Of course, I should have called it Covid Vaccination Check, but that is just too much and it probably won’t sell. Who wants a font called Covid?? ;-) Identity Check is a comic book style font. The glyphs are wider than I am used to (it seems I AM capable of learning new tricks), but the effect is rather nice. Identity Check comes with extensive language support, including Cyrillic and Vietnamese. Plus two sets of alternate glyphs, that cycle as you type.

Eckhardt Signwork JNL was inspired by visual images collected by two great nostalgia sites: www.forgotten-ny.com and www.norelevance.com. The vintage signage photographed and saved for posterity on both sites reflect an age when hand-crafted work was the rule, rather than the exception [as is today]. Although somewhat limited in scope, this font can best be used for retro or nostalgic embellishments in ads or design work. There's also a generous amount of blank panels to insert your own copy for special projects. As with previous typefaces in this series, the font is named in honor of the late Al Eckhardt, owner of Allied Signs in Miami, Florida - a talented sign man and Jeff Levine's good friend for 18 years.

Some time ago I stumbled upon a little book called 'De Sprookjeshoorn' ('Horn of Fairy Tales') by Anton Eijkens (1920 - 2012). It was published in 1946 and contains several authentic and unique fairy tales - unfortunately unreadable to modern children, as the language used is out of date. What caught my eye was the handwritten font on the cover of the booklet. Closet Skeleton is a fairytale font inspired by the one I found on the cover of De Sprookjeshoorn. It comes with several curly alternates and some end-ligatures as well. I added an 'old fashioned' ampersand and a modern one, so you can choose which one to use. Apart from that, Closet Skeleton comes with a closet choc-a-block full of diacritics.

Love Notes JNL is a total reworking of one of Jeff Levine's old freeware fonts. This revised version has an alphabet set jogged left and right in different upper and lower case variations. Playing around with the shift key will bring you the optimum results. On the left and right parenthesis keys are blank hearts logged left and right, and the corresponding fill fonts are on the bracket keys. (NOTE: You may have to do some manual adjustments, as the overlay placement can vary slightly in some programs.) There are numerals as well, and scattered around the keyboard are classic "message hearts" - just like in the boxes of candy. A backfill glyph for the numerals and message hearts is on the backslash key.
