Zawlbuk is a type inspired by Blackletter (sometimes black letter), also known as Gothic script, Gothic minuscule, or Textura. The Letters are drawn using a flat nib pen on a paper, scanned and drawn into a vector format.

Based on a few examples of an Art Nouveau-inspired wood type, Nouveau Sans JNL has an interesting mix of angles, curves and general letter shapes that are reminiscent of the period preceding the Art Deco streamline movement.

Twigglee was inspired by the hand lettering on the plates in a 19th century book on ornaments by Owen Jones. It has no lower-case letters; the upper-case letters are simply repeated on the lower-case keys.

The letters in TapedUp are constructed from straight pieces of what could be masking tape. The letters have a unsophisticated or unpolished quality to them. The typeface is caps-only but many of the shapes on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. It was formed with a template used for several letterbat fonts and also typefaces Rumpled and Tinkerer. Introducing Pistoletto script. I was inspired by works of Roy Lichtenstein and Michelangelo Pistoletto. There are 4 fonts that in different combinations make interesting results: Background, Black, Highlight, Regular. Each style supports European languages. Basic latin has uppercase alternates, two lowercase alternates, many ligatures and swashes. I used for display pictures following works of Roy Lichtenstein: Pistol (1964), Engagement Ring (1961), Oh, Jeff...I Love You, Too...But... (1964), Seductive Girl, Yellow Brushstroke I (1965), Brushstroke (1965).

This font owes its inspiration to the Bauhaus, the celebrated 1920s design collective which more or less invented modernism as we know it in the applied arts: from architecture and industrial design to graphics and typography. In its day, Bauhaus typography would have been considered brutally modern. Nowadays, when unadorned sans serifs are commonplace, it still has a freshness and quirkiness that sets it apart. With this new release I've tried to recapture the zeitgeist of those pioneering days.
