Kardinal is a sans serif humanistic type family. The family has 16 weights, ranging from Thin to Black with extra drawn italics and small caps versions. Kade is a display/semi display sans family of fonts based on vernacular lettering photographed over the last ten years in and around the harbors of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hence the name Kade that translates into English as ‘quay’, also the name of its designer. Kade grew slowly from many different ideas and elements. The letters reflects the industrial method in which they are cut for the side of ships from large steel plates. Frequently subtleties of curves are compromised due to the cutting tools and the fact engineers are in control. Kade’s italics have an experimental character and were produced in an unorthodox manner by rotating 8 degrees, rather than slanting the roman characters, a method sometimes employed in shipyards. Kade constructed character is ideal for contemporary editorial works, architecture magazines, museums communication and posters. Though there are many thousands of digital typefaces available, none seem to be made exclusively of letters that tessellate, a complete tessellating alphabet. This void is now filled with not one typeface, but a group of typefaces, the Tescellations kinship group. Even though I am aware of only one use for this typeface--writing about tessellations--that does not mean there are not hundreds or perhaps thousands of other uses. These typefaces are a byproduct of two maze books I designed, Puzzling Typography and Puzzling Typography A Sequel. I found the challenge of making mazes from tessellations, including letter tessellations, intriguing and these typefaces are a byproduct that endeavor. There are seven members of this typeface kinship group. I tried to select the the glyphs that fit together best to form Tescellations; it is the most readable of the lot. The reason for an Italics version is that I needed one for the maze project. In constructing it, I tried to include as many different lower-case glyphs as I could rather than just skew the regular version. A purist might insist that the tessellation deal with the counters. My approach was to worry only about the exterior of any letter that has an interior, but for anyone who who might object to the counters, versions with filled counters are included. What did not fit into Tescellations was dumped into Tescellations Two, which is somewhat of a ransom-note type of face. It comes in two styles, a regular version and a version in which the counters are removed. TescellationPatterns shows how many of the characters in these typefaces tessellate. It has over 100 tessellation patterns, each on only one character. Simply type several lines with any character and make sure the leading is the same as the font size, and you have an instant tessellation pattern of a letter.

Is Rundigsburg a calligraphic face morphing into sans serif or sans serif reverting back to a medieval, calligraphic face? The letters are angular and some retain traces of older letter forms, but the ornamentation is gone. Rundigsburg is decorative but also very legible, suitable for both display and some text purposes. The family has four weights, each with an italics style. There are two shadowed versions and each has an "inside" style designed for uses in layers with its shadowed style to add color. These "inside" style are similar to the light style but the spacing matches its shadowed complement. Among Rundigburgs OpenType features are a few basic fractions and some alternative letter forms.

Found within their pages are hundreds of classic text and display faces alongside delicately engraved cuts as well as print shop borders, ornaments and embellishments. This font is the younger sister of HexBraille with which it may be combined to create new patterns. This also explains why their introductory text are similar. Introduction The purpose of this monospace font is to display braille in an original and "steganographic" way. The Kernig prefix means "Robust" in German, this is because of the crank shapes . The core of the glyph design is a flat hexagon which can be read as 3 rows of 2 dots (i.e. regular braille glyph grid). Even if within a glyph, braille dots ("square dots" indeed) are placed on the vertices of a flat hexagon, the difference with HexBraille is that edges connecting vertices are not straight lines but "crank shapes" instead. This can be summarized by saying that the whole glyph is a Hexcrank (a flat hexagon where vertice pairs are connected by a crank shape) NB: The initial design is illustrated by glyphs 'ç' (no dot) and 'û' (6 dots) as shown by poster 6. A. "Kernig Lattice" In KernigBraille, glyphs are connected to each other, thus for each Hexcrank glyph there are 6 connections: 2 on left/right and 4 on top/bottom. In the final design some cranks were removed for esthetical reason (i.e. leave empty space for allowing patterns diversity). In summary, a text using this font won't display a honeycomb but a lattice instead. NB: Please notice that in order to obtain the lattice without vertical gaps, you must set the interline to 0. The lattice is made from 3 kind of shapes: a.1. Hexcrank a.2. Square a.3. Irregular cross (mostly unclosed) The design favored squares over crosses. The whole slightly resembling a PCB. B. As a family, we love to go camping. We have a big Norwegian tunnel tent (4 season - with room for a wood stove), some really warm down sleeping bags and a primitive field kitchen. Even though our camping trips are usually devoid of luxury, the kids love them! We always choose campsites that are close to nature, like a national park or in the mountains. A couple of years ago, we toured the southern part of England and one of our camping stops was in Exmoor National Park. Minehead is a small coastal town, not far from where we camped, so I named this font after a fond memory! Minehead is a handmade display font. It was loosely based on Haettenschweiler. The Delima font family has something of the Clarendon or Ionic influence but is distinguished by a lighter serif treatment. The contrast between thick and thin strokes is not pronounced, weight stress is vertical. Delima's serifs are short but strong, allowing close letter spacing to give good economy. Lowercase x-height is very generous, internal counters are open. This combines to give Delima excellent legibility in small sizes and an overall even colour when set in text. Delima works well for magazines, periodicals and display work in advertising, flyers and catalogues.

Display Explicit is a display font not intended for text use. It was designed specifically for display, headline, logotype, branding, and similar applications. Display Explicit has an uppercase alphabet located under the shift+character set keys with alternate characters for A, B, C, D, E, F, G, J, K, M, N, P, Q, R, and W located under the option+character and shift+option+character set keys. Under the character set keys are condensed uppercase characters. There are sets of numbers matching each of the uppercase sets, and punctuation.

This family was inspired by an engraved plate from Diderot & Dalembert's Encyclopedia (publication beginning in 1751), illustrating the chapter devoted to letter engraving techniques. The plate bears two engravers names : "Aubin" (may be one of the four St Aubin brothers ?)and "Benard" ( which name is present below all plates of the Encyclopedia printed in Geneva ). It seems to be a transitional type, but different from Fournier or Grandjean. Small caps are included in fonts for TTF and OTF version, separate files are included in the family sets of the Mac TT version.

This is our first font, based on Peter's own personal way of writing uncials, The rounded letters of the fourth to eighth centuries. The characters in the caps position are more closely related to the classical Roman forms, and the lowercase position has letters that are the more rounded, medieval forms, at the same size, so they can be freely mixed, for a hand lettered appearance. This typeface is currently used for the titles in the TNT Television show "the Librarians". It was originally designed in 1998, and is now available in Open Type Format.

Boot Camp JNL has the same roots as Jeff Levine's Condensed Stencil JNL, as they were both modeled from a set of vintage brass interlocking stencils made by the Stafford Manufacturing Company. The previous font was drawn from limited examples of the stencils seen in an online photograph, so a number of the basic characters had to be improvised. Since then, a nearly complete set was obtained and the alphabet and numerals are truer to the original design. Additionally, both Regular and Oblique versions of Boot Camp JNL are available.

Corso is a clean condensed sans serif font family. It comes in upright, slanted and italic, in six weights each. It includes useful typographic features such as fractions, ligatures and case sensitive forms. Also included are double- or single-storey versions of a and g, you can switch via stylistic OpenType sets. Other letters with alternative forms accessible the same way are ß and ampersand. Corso works especially great for larger size uses such as signage, headlines or posters. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t also useable for short texts.

Ampmosphere, a picture font, contains instruments and components from a 60's rock and roll band. After a friend's request to create a guitar graphic, I decided to start a set. Over time, more instruments were added along with amps, tubes, lights, etc. The glyphs are great to use individually or combined. 65 detailed glyphs in all... A - Z upper and lower case; 0 - 9; comma, period and forward slash. Upper case A, B, C and D are the separate strings for the stringed instruments a, b, c and d.

Fugues is a modern monospace display font. The typeface is made from a basic line, circle and square geometry. Fugues Regular and Italic are inspired by straight geometric shapes and Fugues Rounded and Rounded Italic are inspired by organic geometry similar to works by Antoni Gaudí and Alphonse Mucha. The name is derived from the Latin “Fuga” meaning flight and its current meaning “compositions of many parts on a short theme and using counterpoint.” Fugues is great for display work, logos, film titles, sports, monograms, headings and posters.

William Caslon (1692-1766) laid the foundation for English typefounding, when he cut his first roman face in London in 1722. He modeled his designs on late seventeenth-century Dutch types; thus his typefaces are classified as Old Styles. The original Caslon punches have been preserved, enabling a perfect recutting of his faces. Notice the hollow in the apex of A and the two full serifs or beaks in the C.
