Bold, black and square. But was first drawn as a logotype for the magazine "BUT – Bilder und Texte" (pictures and texts) which was published by an experimentally-oriented non-commercial initiative. In consideration of the unusual dimensions of the magazine (6 x 14 cm / 2,4 x 5,5 inch), I decided to fill as much space as possible with the body of type. This formal idea refers to the meaning of the title by blurring the border between legible letters and abstract shapes. Because of its origin, But is ideal for short messages in headline point size. Despite its blocky shapes, But creates a friendly atmosphere. The details are as playful as the restrictions that are given by the concept allow them to be. Punctuation marks and other special characters contrast the boldness of the design since they are matching the thin parts of upper- and lowercase letters. This also avoids gaps when longer texts are set. But is available in open type format and has an extended character set (Latin extended A). Two sets of numerals, one matching the x-height and another one matching the cap-height, are provided.

VAG Rounded Next brings a classic 1970s typeface up to date, keeping all of its easy going, approachable personality but adding some much-needed versatility and language support. VAG Rounded Next Variables are font files which are featuring one axis and have a preset instance from Thin to Black.

Senkron is composed of "normal" and a "blok" styles. Senkron ("normal") was designed as a pure and modern neo grotesk font. The anatomy of the letters are designed to achieve an equal text color. For this purpose, the legs of the letters “R” and "K" are designed with a vertical angle to prevent the white space that would occur in the middle of these letters. In the minuscule, the characteristic features of letters such as ‘a’, ‘l’, ‘t’ are concretized and legibility is supported in the text. Considerable attention has been paid to the harmony between the anatomical structures of the letters and the diacritical mark’s structure. Senkron Blok is arranged for situations which have diacritical marks overflow to leadings of the headline and headline typographical color is affected negatively from this situation. For this purpose, majuscule diacritical letters are resolved within the letter height. However, when this is done, new forms are obtained by integrated diacritical marks with letters instead of directly merging them. The idea behind this approach is to preserve the typographic value of diacritical marks and emphasize the semantic value of diacritical letters. 82 letters have been redesigned in this way.

The last are a feature on the numerical, Ordinals, Subscript, Superscript, and Fraction.

Marujo is a highly decorative typeface inspired by painted pieces of Arthur Bispo do Rosário, a striking Brazilian artist who lived for 50 years in a psychiatric institution. Besides its spirited Regular and Light cuts, Marujo family brings nifty eye-catching variations adorned with dots and stripes. It was in the beginning of 2008 when I designed a font named Quijote, its predecessor. In the middle of 2009, I looked at it again and thought it could be a good idea to make an update of it. Variables and Features: Quijote Sauvage Pro is the most complete variable. It includes all the ligatures, alternates and swashes. It has the OpenType function in order to alternate glyphs easily when running applications which support this. The font is also offered separately. Quijote Sauvage Standard has the right glyphs to get an equilibrium between wildness and softness. It includes standard and discretionary ligatures. Quijote Sauvage Stylistic has the sharpest glyphs. Its decorative traces are discreet in order not to have problems as regards legibility. Its upper case are less wild than the other variables. Quijote Sauvage Text is the most discreet of its partners. This one was thought in order to improve legibility. Its ascenders and descenders are shorter, so the words are easier to read in small sizes. Quijote Sauvage Contextual, Swash and Titling, are the ones with wonderful terminals. They decorate words, adding a wonderful look of wildness or passion.

Monograms or connected letters are very popular; apart from looking elegant, the monogram will also present an impression that sticks in the eyes of the audience. Lougra has more than 100 monograms or ligatures, making designing an initial or logo easier. Lougra is elegant and minimal modern sans serif. It has three contrast options which are display, regular and text.

FeggoliteKeyed has letters on rounded rectangles with shadows. The letter shapes are from a decorative, monospaced font called FeggoliteMono. The typeface contains characters that will add color to letters. There are two ways to do this. One uses layers and the other a combination of characters, some with zero-width. A file in the gallery explains the ways that this can be done.

Valute is a custom font with variable typeface, but at first glance it looks very mischievous. Very thincontrasting lines are very legible with heavy use of paragraph text. We made Valute with 9 weights that include ligatures and are multilingual. We will make language and feature updates in the future as this is a long-term project that we will be building on.

The design of Eurotech Pro was inspired by Thannhaeuser’s Technotyp font family which was cut by Typoart, Dresden, in 1949. Eurotech is not a mere revival of the old Typoart version but many letterforms have been updated and modernized. The Cyrillic letters are designed entirely by myself. Eurotech Pro is well suited for technical purposes, like catalogs, manuals or articles which are multilingual.

Blue On Blue is a display font not intended for text use. It was designed specifically for display, headline, logotype, branding, and similar applications. Blue On Blue has an uppercase alphabet, numbers, and punctuation. For convenience, the uppercase alphabet is repeated under the lowercase keys. Only the portions of the characters that are outlined by the 3D-simulated depth are visible.

A revival of “Gras Vibert”, a French fat face originally cast by the Didot typefoundry in Paris. It was cut in 1840 by Vibert, an engraver employed by the foundry. The capitals are heavier than the lowercase letters, and the characters g, k, y and & are rather peculiarly shaped, exaggerating the vertical stress. The font is designed for large sizes.

Quartz was originally published on the shop Font Forestry, but they are planning on closing - So now Quartz will live on Hustle Supply Co. Quartz is a minimalist All-Caps Sans Serif typeface that comes in 7 different weights. It's perfect for projects looking for that minimalist / clean aesthetic. Habanera's design is based on the idea of taking perfectionist geometric shapes and making them funky! With gentle tweaks here and there, the glyphs are deliberately designed to look more humane and fun. Same fonts are also presented with round corners, giving it an even more gentle look. Latin poster design and graphic art was an inspiration to design Habanera.

Lisboa Swash is a display humanist sans-serif typeface and it was designed for big sizes purposes. The uppercase letterforms are much more decorative than the lowercase, but both contain hook-head terminals and few contrast. This typeface family contain stylish alternates characters which are more calligraphic than the main version. This typeface family has different encoding languages (Latin, Central Europe and Baltic).

The Stomp Family is a set of three different fonts, Swirl, Flowers and Circles which are designed to be used with Stomp Black to create dual colored type for bright and exciting images. Metrics and Kerning information for the four faces are identical so that they overlay perfectly. Stomp Black is also very usable on its own for bold, high impact type.

This serif typeface was designed to be simple and neutral on text sizes, there descender proportions are short and the x-height is large. The lowercase italics contain different structure from roman characters, but the most differentiation detail is the fact the ascender and descender strokes don’t contain serifs. Italics characters are slightly more narrow and condensed than roman letterforms.

A breath of fresh air! Seasalt typeface was designed to emulate natural-looking handwritten notes. Barrowboy was inspired by the handwritten sales tickets that are still to be found on market stalls and fruit barrows, and are as familiar as the street cries that accompany them. IngyStarTilings allows one to create a variety of patterns that have stars. Some of them are quite common and others less so. A sample file is available that shows possible patterns that can be constructed with this typeface, including some non-star repeating patterns. As the posters indicate, some of the patterns constructed with the regular version are intended to be multicolored.
