Institut is an industrial-strength display face, with a no-nonsense feel of a research lab and audacity of a space mission control. Based on assertive geometric forms, it is suitable for a variety of on-screen and print uses. Designed by Vyacheslav Kirilenko with participation of Gayaneh Bagdasaryan in 2013.

A heavy-set but lively font, Kendrick’s dense strokes were hand-painted using a thick wet brush. This all-caps set of letters is bold but brushy, textured and expressive; fun but very much meaning business. Kendrick is streetwise and no-nonsense, but with a big cheesy grin to boot.

“I Don't like No Cheap Man” is a piece of early 1900s sheet music featuring its title hand lettered in a condensed slab serif design. The influences of the Art Nouveau era are clearly found in the many eccentric character shapes within the various letters of the original artwork. Recreated in digital type, Tightwad JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions – and its font name is a variant of the “Cheap Man” portion of the song’s title.

Argot is inspired by condensed grotesque letterforms and would be a monolinear sans except for an unorthodox disparity between inner and outer shapes. Elegantly curved outlines contrast starkly with austere rectangular counters, suggesting a no-frills functionality, 20th century modernism, or an unsettling discordance. The squared off inner spaces also add clarity and crispness. Argot is available in three widths — Wide, Normal and Narrow. Each width is supplied in three weights — Regular, Bold and Black — with corresponding italics (obliques).

Branding Super Family is an extension of the Branding project , including new variables that cater to a wide array of requirements, still maintaining its essence. It is a super family for modern needs! Additional to its particular design, different widths are included: now Branding Ultra Condensed is a reality. The project also considers a variety of alternate characters, making Branding Super Family a great tool for graphic designers and art directors. Rolf is a modern font of condensed typeface, Rolf is a narrow neutral geometric font designed for headlines and posters. Adlery is a brush typeface designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini for display use. It has a handmade feel and it’s optimized for maximum readability at medium sizes. The typeface comes in three styles: Basic, Swash and Blockletter Uppercase and has a double set of lowercase alphabets that alternate in writing, so that no double letters are the same.

The Roman alphabet has seen endless variations in interpretations of its classical form, and various wood type styles managed to explore everything from XXX condensed to hyper extended and expanded. This delicate and handsomely proportioned extended Roman was issued by Page Manufacturing Co. in 1872 and released as simply “No. 251” after Page was acquired by Hamilton. It is a rare font to find in print shops, most likely due to the very fine lines that would no doubt be less durable that bolder gothic jobbing fonts. While being quite wide, it still holds the elegant grace of wide Romans such as Craw Modern. This new digitization features a full Western and Eastern European Character set as well as ligatures and alternate characters.

Here is a decorative condensed antique design that is sure to fit a variety of contemporary situations. The Bruce Type Foundry (later acquired by V. B. Munson) developed this wonderfully shaded Tuscan in the 1880s - or possibly earlier. It was known back then as Style No. 1050 and carried a pronounced three-dimensional look with a thin hairline at the bottom and right of each stroke. It is best to use Frisco Antique in large display sizes because it is easy to lose these delicate hairlines. A lowercase and several alternate characters have been provided for your convenience. Frisco Antique Display is also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version. Advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Poruka is slanted script typeface with connected letters with gently condensed look. Letters are designed as monoline forms with decent dose of elegancy and stylistic uniformity. Poruka is imagined mainly as typeface for shorter texts or headlines, where text needs to stand out from other elements of content. It can be used successfully both as webfont and on printed materials – all kinds of invitations, labels, packages, posters and editorial use. Poruka comes with two Stylistic Sets – 01 which activates uppercase letters with full font height (from the top of ascender to the bottom of descender) and 02 – which activates handwritten forms on "b", "d", "h" and "l" letters. Also, Poruka is equipped with Swashes and Discretionary Ligatures which doesn't really represent classical pack of expected ligatures, but more as graphical version of a couple of words like "yes", "no", "wait", "ciao" and a few more.

PF Mellon is a modernist variable grotesque with mixed roots. Its unconventional aesthetic is the product of an exploration into the art of emphasizing titles, headlines and text in captivating and unpredictable ways. Contrary to conventional practices of highlighting text with heavier weights, PF Mellon proposes an intriguing new scheme based on striking and attention-grabbing compositions of narrow and extended letterforms- even when set in lowercase. Part geometric and part grotesque, PF Mellon’s expressionist alphabet and extravagant style challenge conventions of visual culture in an Art Deco-like manner. PF Mellon’s rebellious idiosyncrasy takes its cues from the eccentric personality of our popular PF Venue, an earlier geometric sans serif characterized by its daring combinations of non-uniform structures. PF Mellon’s basic design skeleton was influenced by nineteenth and early twentieth century condensed sans serif typefaces such as Stephenson Blake's Grotesque No.77 and ATF’s Alternate Gothic, adding an extra contrast to the thickness of strokes. NATRON Rough is the textured version of NATRON (rounded and condensed sans serif), in two weights, medium and bold. It features stylistic alternates and ligatures. Both fonts support Latin and Cyrillic codepages for Western, East and Central European, and Baltic countries. Designed for tight-fitting text, NATRON Rough is great for display, branding, labels, packaging, advertising, food, sports, titles, and any other type of visual communication projects.

Incorporating a certain Gallic ‘je ne sais quoi’ Galerie is a chic & stylish sans serif, though you'll notice some short tails with angled terminals acting rather like serifs, lending a sophisticated characteristic to its balanced proportions. Galerie’s large x-height makes it a very legible font family, available in 4 weights: Thin, Light, Medium and Bold. See also the condensed sister family Galerie 2.

Selma is a family of Sans Serif fonts with 492 Glyphs, 04 weight (Light, regular, medium and bold), with long stems, inspired by bar codes. Extremely condensed vertical emphasis, its bars positioned at the ends of the rods give a strong dose of personality and elegance to the design, has a height of x accented, giving strength and power of attraction for short texts and large sizes.

The 1913 sheet music for "There's A Girl in the Heart of Maryland (with a Heart That Belongs to Me)" may have had no shortage of words in the title - fifteen to be exact, but it also offered some nice hand lettering in the Art Nouveau style. Maryland JNL is a condensed typeface with an unusual twist. The "S" and "G" both have spurs on them, which is reminiscent of the preceding Victorian period and the popular spurred Tuscan alphabets of the time.

psKampen is a contemporary font with a medieval experience. It has no real serifs, but is good to use as a book character. Several characters have a swash variant in addition to the normal versions.

Blue Sugar is a grunge font which has one letter-shape in white set within a different grunge letter-shape in black. The Regular and Dirty versions have their characters in conventionally upright positions; and there are 3 varieties with the characters in various states of disorder and at slightly varied angles and sizes - called Twirled and Whirled. The Mixed Caps version introduces no new characters, but combines straight capitals and jumbled capitals in the same font, for convenience, in which Upper Case A-Z displays conventional upright Capitals, and lower case a-z displays jumbled Capitals. The package contains both OTF and TTF versions - install either OTF or TTF, not both versions of a font on the same machine.

The name Grape Feud is obviously a wordplay, and is derived of the, sometimes, mistaken of the orange and the (often) purple fruits. But Grape Feud is also a playful and charming no-nonsense comic style font. The x-height is quite unpredictable, and I've added ligature for the most common double letter combinations.

Bennet, Richard Lipton’s spirited serif superfamily, was inspired by Moth Design’s logotype and stationery system for the North Bennet Street School in Boston. Initially modest in concept, Bennet grew to an expansive suite of 96 fonts tuned for editorial use. The three widths of Bennet’s Display and Banner sizes—Regular, Condensed, and Extra Condensed—are ideal for precise fitting of newspaper and magazine headlines. Lipton developed graded text styles for the series, offering users precise variations to help compensate for varying degrees of ink spread on different types of paper stock during the printing process. For example, because of ink absorption, the lightest grade—Bennet Text One—printed on low-quality newsprint stock will have the same gray value as the darkest grade—Bennet Text Four—on superior coated paper.
