M Yuppy PRC is a handwritten style Simplified Chinese typeface. Handwritten font designs are derived directly from hand-drawn lettering or handwriting using analogue tools. Some unusual hand lettering was found on the cover of the 1924 edition of a Spanish language novel by Joaquin Belda entitled “La Hora del Abandono” ("The Time of Abandonment"). The title was created as all lower case characters in a semi-serif style reflecting the dawn of the Art Deco movement. Merc is based on an all-cap metal face called Agitator, designed by Wolfgang Eickhoff and published by Typoart in 1960. The rough brush letters look like they were made by someone who is capable of elegance but has no time for it. These are letters that live to catch the eyes and warn them loudly: Doom is here, and if you want it screamed out, this Merc is at your service. This font contains more than 460 glyphs, which means quite a few stylistic alternates and support for the majority of Latin languages.

Beorcana can be classified as a serifless roman, a stressed sans, a glyphic sans, or calligraphic sans. However it is classified, Beorcana derives not only from other stressed sans designs like Lydian, Amerigo and Optima, but also utilizes classic Renaissance proportions in both Roman and Italic, which facilitate extended reading. Beorcana is available in Display, regular Text and Micro styles. Beorcana’s Text styles offer comfort and liveliness in books, dictionaries, magazines and other reading-intensive settings. Display styles offer a stately and organic flavor for any application. Micro styles perform in tight and dense settings like dictionaries, bibles, maps and fine print. The name Beorcana is a variant of the Icelandic word for the Birch tree, and the related words for the Icelandic rune. Many variant spellings are used for the tree and the rune: Beorc, Berkanan, Birkana, Bercano, Bjork, Bjarka. The Birch was revered as a symbol of renewal, due to its role as a pioneer species in burned, boggy or otherwise unforested areas.

This type crept up the sense that it was made in Eastern Europe by poorly trained urbanites from a crippled nation, or that it is the remains of a contemporary gothic (like Eckmann) stencil. The choice of what this type signifies is up to the public. Lately I like the idea of 'putting on' (in McLuhan's sense) a genre of idea that is somewhat different from my tradition's beliefs, and fitting a core category of that toward a teleological/eschatological advantage. Therefore postmodernist/apocalyptic carelessness (which I may 'put on' by using this type) is how I abstain from the cravings of immortality, or more so that wanting it is pointless. It’s stands as memento morí; that I will have to die someday. I have to become less, He must become more. Of course, Interzone may signify a classic Joy Division track from Unknown Pleasures as well as the Cold Warish ongoings of conflicted eastern European life. I considered naming this Lunik 9.

To start with one personal fact: I really like to listen Rahsaan Roland Kirk. He was a multi-instrumentalist, real grandmaster and unique jazz virtuoso. The way he improvised and walked through variety of different music influences are admiring. One of things he liked is to modify instruments, so he modified soprano saxophone and got an instrument called manzello. When I was looking for good name for this typeface, it came on my mind that Manzello could be the perfect one. It has the symbolic background from the instrument and theoretically in my head, it's imagined as typeface that rely on stable classic examples, but graphically designed and modified to match modern standards. Manzello contains a dose of characteristics of display typefaces with terminals that aren't perfectly rounded, high contrast between stems and good balanced Italics with elements of fine calligraphy. It's a small font family, something what I was always looking for to have as first text solution in my web and graphic projects.

Basenji is a flowing headline typeface influenced by the modular geometric design trend of the 1970s. Capitolium was designed in 1998 at the request of the Agenzia romana per la preparatione del Giubileo for the Jubilee of the Roman Catholic Church in 2000. This type design was the central part of the project for a wayfinding and information system to guide pilgrims and tourists through Rome. Capitolium also continues Rome’s almost uninterrupted two-thousand-year-old tradition of public lettering . It is a modern typeface for the twenty-first century and strongly related to the traditions of Rome. Soon after the completion of this project Unger began contemplating the possibility of bringing the atmosphere of this design to newspapers. Though Capitolium works well in most modern production processes and also on screens, it is too fragile for newsprint. For newspapers sturdier shapes were required as well as more characters to a line of text, and Capitolium News has a bigger x-height than Capitolium. Capitolium News is a thoroughly modern newsface, with classic letterforms linked to a strong tradition. Capitolium News for running text comes in the variations regular, italic, semibold, semibold italic, bold and bold italic. As is possible with most of Unger’s type designs, Capitolium News can be condensed and expanded without any harm to the letterforms. Armature Neue Sans is an extension of the original Armature Neue family released in 2010. Like Armature Neue, Armature Neue Sans consists of six weights with accompanying italics. Armature is one result of my interest in typefaces that are constructed, rather than drawn. Although it is basically a monoline design, there are subtle details throughout that compensate for a monoline’s evenness. As with all fontBoy fonts, there are dingbats hidden away in the dark recesses of the keyboard. When I first started designing this face in 1992, I called it Dino - I thought I would name all my fonts after famous pets, so the dingbats for Armature are dinosaurs. To access the alternate characters (closed counter B and R, and others) use Stylistic Set 1 or the glyphs palette in your OpenType-enabled application. Mr Lucky is Mr Happy's slab brother and a hand-drawn narrow typeface designed for one of our books. You can layer different styles over the background style to achieve lots of colorful effects. Use just one style to get a single color letter or set Fill over Background or Stripped Background to get a two color mode. Mr Lucky has upper and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs and special alternate uppercase diacritics. Build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. It really works great but of course you can always fine tune it by hand.
