Geometra is based on Paul Renners Futura Classic, the one that he designed before he had to soften it to make it more appealing to the broad public. I thought the original design would lend itself perfect to make a rounded version, that has got more character than the ever so boring DIN-typeface. Alejandro Paul’s Brownstone Slab is based on his own popular, award-winning, Brownstone Sans typeface.  Like the original Sans, Brownstone Slab is a 21st-century design, influenced by the Victorian decorative motifs of the ironwork and carved decorations of New York City row houses. Brownstone Slab’s sturdy serifs make it slightly more masculine and solid than its predecessor. As with Brownstone Sans, Brownstone Slab includes character sets for Latin-based languages, including Western and Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish, Maltese, Celtic and Welsh. It includes over 1500 glyphs, including small capitals, swash characters, alternates, and ligatures, in both Light and Thin weights. Ornamental frames are provided in all weights.

One of the most successful new ornament fonts is CalligraphiaLatina. It is part of a trend that's been quite popular lately: messed-up calligraphy. You can dirty up (or "deconstruct") gracious classic-looking curves in many ways: using a variety of software filters; by superimposition; or even by hand. Brazilian designer Paulo W has his own method, possibly involving a scanner and some auto-tracing. DonnaBodoni was inspired by David Farey. He once wrote, somebody should honor the widow of Giambattista Bodoni the brave Signora Paola Margherita Dall 'Aglio for her effort to have the Manuale tipografico di Giambattista Bodoni published after his death. Since I have redesigned a good deal of Bodoni’s work and added some of my own, I thought it was my duty to do at least this for Bodoni’s unknown widow. Here is my 3-cut script in her honor. Aurore Grotesque is an elegant, robust geometric sans for both text and headline. FuturaClassic is a recut of Paul Renners original Futura. This version was what Mr. Renner wanted the Futura to look like. He had to change his very stringent design because the market wanted a more pleasing typeface. I think the original design is worth saving because it is much more typical and has a personal and distinguished touch. The type “Vandalismo 26” is a tribute to the calligraphy style that 'screams' over the front of the buildings in the center of São Paulo/Brazil. This underground calligraphy, known as "pichação" or "pixo”, is a movement that expresses disagreement and rejection against the system. For some critics, this “vandalism” is considered to be the most disruptive and conceptual contemporary art today. It is a type to be used in headlines. Vandalismo 26 is a mix of the chaotic pixo style representing the nonconformity of a generation. It is a protest to the system in a typographic format.

Pacaembu is a sans serif typeface that finds its roots in Brazilian football. This seven weight family began as a study of the stone lettering found in the Paulo Machado de Carvalho Municipal Stadium, affectionately known as the Estádio Pacaembu, a real gem of the Art-Deco style inaugurated in 1940. These art-deco letters, like football itself, were brought to Brazil by Europeans and out there in the tropics found a totally unique personality. Pacaembu is a celebration of Brazilian Football, it’s unique flavours, moves, sights and colors which have been delighting fans for generations.

Biographer is a mild upright script drawn by Angel Koziupa, with Alejandro Paul art directing and producing. Elegant but quite reminiscent of roman forms and proportions, Biographer keeps the calligraphy mostly toned down, but its ascenders and descenders occasionally flare out in final swashy confidence. As usual with Sudtipos fonts, alternates are plenty and the personal touch is never amiss. Biographer is great for women's lit and poetry book covers, as well as tame packaging of products where conveying comfort and peace of mind is of importance. An extensive range of languages are covered (Western and Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish, Maltese and Celtic).

British type designers Paul McNeil and Hamish Muir created this display FontFont in 2012. The family has 52 weights, ranging from 018 Thin to 144 Black and is ideally suited for logo, branding and creative industries, music and nightlife as well as poster and billboards. FF ThreeSix provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures. It comes with tabular lining and proportional lining figures. FF ThreeSix received several awards: the ISTD Premier award in 2011 and the ISTD Certificate of Excellence award in 2011. The typeface was also selected as one of Typographica’s favorite typefaces of 2012.

Wade Sans Light was designed by Paul Hickson and Key Characters and appeared in the ITC library in 1990. The basic forms of the font are those of a constructed sans serif, as seen in the circular O and triangular A. The low x-height of the lower case letters make this font particularly reserved and graceful and the high ascenders give it a certain elegance. The high, wide capitals need a lot of space and dominate the overall look of this font. Wade Sans Light is reminiscent of the elegant cabarets of the 1920s and 30s.

The Elzeviriano Ibarra or 'Ibarra Gans' was a typography engraved by Carl Winkow in 1931 to Fundición Gans commemorating 50 years since the foundation thereof. It is designed to be used in the book-homage The Maestro Joaquín Ibarra . This type is a combination of the printers selected by Joaquín Ibarra, Spanish printer and typographer and Ezelvir family types, hence its compound classification. Gans Ibarra, designed in 2006 by Paulo W follow the concepts from the original designs from Fundicion Gans. This typeface is inspired by the powerful political and social posters by Paul Peter Piech, a tireless artist and printer. Questioned about his endless energy and focus on work, he said "I don't want to sit around and be silent". Pieches is a linocut-looking font heavily loaded with interlocks, including vertical pairs of letters. There are alternates also, and not quite a few: four glyphs for each letter so countless expressive possibilities are open. Graphical elements are also included, for added wilderness. This is a loud-speaking font for those who don't want to be silent. Come on, let’s shout!

The dynamic design duo of Koziupa drawing and Paul digitizing strikes again. This time they cover the space from light nonchalance to eerie darkness, and everything in between. Quicker than lightning and just as poignant, Brisa Pro shows unprecedented determination, presence of spirit, and finality of confidence. Brisa Pro is the teenager leaving home, the lover leaving one last note on the refrigerator door, the prophet announcing the imminence of doom, the rebel scratching anger on the wall, the bereaved clawing torment into life, and the bogeyman dropping a line to keep your eyes wide open through the night.

The Women's Suffrage Movement gained women the right to vote in 1920. Up until then there were many ways undertaken to rally sympathy for the cause. In 1916 Alice Paul formed the National Woman's Party. That same year a song with the [exhaustive] sixteen word title "She's Good Enough to be Your Baby's Mother (And She's Good Enough to Vote with You)" yielded a hand lettered Art Nouveau sans serif design in the main portion of the title. This became the basis for Plain Nouveau JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

It's not everyday that you want to have dark chocolate with your favorite latté. But sometimes, as out of the ordinary as it is, it can be just the ticket. Cafelatte's design offers a somewhat unpolished calligraphic concept, reminiscent of wooden type, but done with the unique brush of Angel Koziupa and Bezier wizardry of Alejandro Paul. The discerning packaging designer will certainly find it refreshing to be able to put a darker, unconventional touch on his or her design. And who says primal instincts can't express themselves elegantly?

For some reason I had Paul Simon’s song ‘You Can Call Me All’ in my head when I was busy working on this font, so I just had to call it Bonedigger. Bonedigger does not dig bones, but it does have ‘heavy bones’, as it is quite big. Bonedigger is seriously eroded and would look great on book covers and product packaging. It comes in a lovely regular and italic style and a seriously twisted inline style (with, of course, its own italic). As the song goes: With a knick-knack paddywhack, give the dog a bone, this old font came rolling home.

Erbar or Erbar Grotesk, designed by Jakob Erbar (Ludwig & Mayer) in the early 1920s, is a truly key design from a historical viewpoint. None other than Paul Renner studied Erbar and used this knowledge in the design of his famous Futura. Erbar is a beautiful constructive Grotesk perfectly mirroring the Zeitgeist of the 1920s. The newly expanded Erbar family of URW++ comes in nine styles, of which seven have been digitally remastered recently in URW's design studio (light, book, medium, bold, italic, bold italic).

Jasmin is a tribute to the ancient stories of The Thousand and One Nights, in which a main story serves as a connection for a series of other stories, just like all the other glyphs are derived from one of Jasmin's letters or from a sign. A graphic path in which we tried to combine the calligraphy designed with a quill with geometric research. Among the glyphs there is one referring to a letter from a famous font by Paul Renner, made by Fonderia Bauer in 1927.

The source of inspiration for MFC Patisserie Monogram is a letter set from the book, "Letters and Lettering" by Paul Carlyle & Guy Oring, published in 1938. This elegant decorative style was shown as Capitals & Numerals only, but we've expanded it out to include Capitals, Smallcaps, Numerals, an Ampersand, and ornamental parenthesis, brackets, and braces. MFC Patisserie Monogram can create one, two, or three letter monograms as well as basic headline and titling settings. It is a refined look that is as darling as it is delicate. The numeral set and bullet dividers allow for more detailed and personalized monograms. If you want an even more customized look, you can add any of a handful of brackets, braces, or parenthesis to surround your monograms in a complimenting style.

Bellas Artes is what happens when the brush of Angel Koziupa and the technical expertise of Alejandro Paul go face to face with the Art Deco aesthetic. The recognizable Koziupa curves become players of a game of halves, where there is no such thing as a better half, but both sides complete each other like in that perfect romance you will never forget. Bellas Artes is an excellent choice not only for packaging design, but also for book and music covers meant for the feminine demographic, collateral of classical taste, and of course pre-WWII visuals.

A 1964 piece of sheet music entitled “Old Soldiers Never Die (They Just Fade Away)” was based on the farewell speech General Douglas MacArthur gave to Congress on April 19, 1951. This particular edition of the song sheet had part of his speech (as well as its title) hand lettered in a free-form sans serif reminiscent of the lettering done by such noted lettering artists as Paul Coker and Saul Bass. The casual and playful style of this type design became the inspiration for Swing Vote JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Designer Nick Curtis found the inspiration for this typeface on a 1920s poster for a German bookseller, by Berlin poster artist Paul Scheurich. ITC Jeepers retains the spontaneity and playfulness of Scheurich's original lettering and adds a few surprises of its own, one being the somewhat exclamatory ear on the lowercase "g". It was, in fact, the excited look of this particular character that gave rise to the font's name. Not to be outdone, the exclamation point takes on an even more startling demeanor. The monoweight, slab serif design has a friendly personality, perfect for headlines and other display uses.

Evergreen is Koziupa and Paul going all Zeitgeist after a few Malbec drinks. Two fonts praise nature from when the lights go out to the crack of dawn, and vice versa. That's 24/7/365 of wild leafy Kumbaya. Even butterflies and flowers were mystified so much they had to get in there. Evergreen is local, organic, and certified free trade. At some point we wrote down the name of the jungle where it originated, then lost the parchment in the hot springs a few hours later. But that's immaterial. Crank up your Deep Forest sound, prep your Earthtone and Foliage palettes, and get into the big herbal.

Cenizas is another masterpiece of rough-and-tumble script from the prolific Argentine duo of Koziupa and Paul. Although the overall 'wildness' of Cenizas is reminiscent of popular mid-twentieth-century English display scripts, Koziupa's Latin brush humor and ingenuity remain evident in the underlying structure of the design. Casual, care-free and adventurous, Cenizas can be a great choice for design applications relating to active behavior, like outdoor sports and travel. It also is enough of a rough script to be quite useful in a variety of other design contexts, such as the covers of art books or historical novels, museum literature, music sleeves and posters, or even map designs.

Aranjuez is the latest Koziupa and Paul adventure. This time, they max out on calligraphic art deco, then add a healthy dose of the thick-and-thin mantra that's been so trendy for quite a few years now. The result is neo-psychedelia in an upright cross-breed of pseudo-wood deco and ornamental calligraphy, complete with alternates, swashes, endings, playful contrast treatments, and even background possibilities. This font is quite expressive, and its elegance is meant to be shown prominently. So use it for packaging, book covers, or wherever the message needs to be delivered clearly and with a precisely controlled touch of class.

Drunk Cowboy is a bouncy version of the popular Old West type style, inspired by hand-made signage in Paducah, Kentucky. The strokes are loopy and loose. The exaggerated terminals give this font a loud, boisterous presence. Drunk Cowboy is a brutish rogue that emanates the fierce independence of Rio as played by Marlon Brando in One Eyed Jacks, but it is most like Paul Newman's Butch Cassidy—a mischievous wise-cracker. And there's gold worth mining for in this font. Dig deep enough and you'll find swash characters and special ligatures, like Th, ST, CT, NT and other popular letter combinations found in the Cowboy dialect.

The family tree of this friendly face runs deep. Its primary inspiration is Twentieth Century, designed by Saul Hess as a monoline version of Paul Renner’s Futura. The design was reinterpreted by Herb Lubalin as Avant Garde in the 1970s. This version softens the harsh geometry of the original designs with rounded line endings: the result is a warm, inviting face that is elegant, confident and inviting. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

From the beginning “Esmeralda” was born with a strong influence of the classical “capitalis monumentalis”, carved in stone. In the same way, the origin of this majuscule writing emerged from the brush, from a way of writing made merely by hand. For this reason, these two universes were intended to lie beneath the shape of each letter, redefining them. And this combination of styles should also be reflected in a lower case set that also allows to open up the spectrum of usage possibilities. Foundational calligraphy represented a solid base for the development of lower case glyphs, ensuring proper interaction with the upper case letters. “Esmeralda” features a great number of ligatures that mix classic structures with a more contemporary impression. Glass Light was designed in 1912 by Franz Paul Glass for the Genzsch & Heyse foundry. The font is stylewise related to the "Lo types" of the same period. Glass designed a lot of decorative elements to go along with the font. I added Swashes, endletters and smallcaps to the set to make it complete. Since this type of font will probably not be used by many professionals, I did not put all the letters into one big OTF-version since most people don't have OTF-savy software. Twentieth Century was Lanston Monotypes answer to Futura. In fact Saul Hess's redrawing of Futura is so close that this new digital revival includes alternates of the long lost original letterforms originally designed by Paul Renner for Futura, but were left out of the released version that has become so popular. 20th Century is a modern sans serif with apparent geometry yet still a certain warmth in its design. The OpenType version of LTC Twentieth Century incorporates the alternate Renner glyphs with two sets of alternate lowercase characters. The font also includes oldstyle numerals and a full Western and Central European character set.

This font set, created for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, celebrates the work of influential French artist Paul Cézanne. P22’s Cezanne font allows you to beautify your documents with a faithful rendition of the artist’s handwriting, while Cezanne Sketches recreates a variety of imagery from the artist’s work. Xtencil is a typeface inspired by the shapes of the drawing templates letters, based on the letter forms of Photo-lettering Glaser Stencil from universal teacher Milton Glaser who at the same time was influenced by the modernism and the Futura of Paul Renner. Xtencil is a round letter to create a great looks, ideal for posters and headlines. Xtencil not come as a drawing template, but as true Pro OpenType typography. GP Metro® is a faithful version of the Dwiggins 1930 urban classic: Metrolight, Metromedium, and Metroblack.
