This is my first fontrelease in 2021, and it's one of those "things will get better soon" kinda fonts (Here I am thinking about 2020, which was a year I am glad we just left!) Anyway, the first thing I ate in 2021 (not counting the "kransekage" after midnight) was a delicious and lovely tuna sandwich - or as I called it: Party Toast! Heh-heh! :) Well, it is a playful font with it's jumpy and slightly quirky letters. I've added 5 different versions of each letter and they automatically cycles as you type. I cross my fingers for a 2021 where everything gets back to normal!

My family and I recently moved to a ‘fixer upper’ farm from the 1930’s. It came with a slightly run down barn, 4000 square metres of land and a LOT of redcurrant bushes. I can’t really say that I am overly fond of them. I find them a bit too tart. As a kid, I used to smother them in sugar, but I can’t do that any longer, since I am a responsible dad… ;-) Redcurrant is a slightly wonky, slightly crazy handmade font. It can be used for book covers or post cards, but feel free to use it for whatever. Comes with cute little swashes as well.

My name is Teruyoshi Matsui. I live in Japan. I am a Brush Artist. I artistically write the letters of the alphabet with a Japanese brush. I have created the font “ BrushType Longhand”. It was originally named "BrushType Alternative". But I changed my mind before it was completed. At first I aimed at an alternative font. But while I was trying to make it alternative, I realized that it was not. Of course there are many alternative letters that you have never seen before among them, so you have to be careful using the font. If you are a progressive and defiant designer trying to discriminate against others' designs, you should own my font "BrushType Longhand". Be ambitious! This is the word I will give you. I am ambitious ,too. No one in the world creates brush fonts like me. I am the only one as a Brush Artist though no one knows. I will be a world artist some day. Even the original founder, Barnhart Bros. & Spindler, thought this was a freaky font, and indeed they called it "Freak" when they introduced it in 1889. It was reintroduced in 1925 under the somewhat more elegant name of "Bamboo," and is one of the prizes that the collectors of antique metal types seek.

Embossanova was initially sketched to be a monospaced typeface but quickly took on a life of its own. It developed serifs and numerous arcs and stroke weights. I wanted it to retain a pre computer/unmathematical feel so there is a slight variation on curved characters and their relationship to the X height.

Boller is based on handwriting found on the blueprints for the Jayhawk Theater in Kansas. Thomas Williams & Boller Bros. Architects are the only names found on the blueprints. The reason why I gave this name to the font is that 2023 is the centennial anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, which was founded by Atatürk. The famous French poet and novelist Victor Hugo (1802-1885) used several handwriting styles, sometimes almost illegible. His manuscripts designated to be published was written using a script style, to be legible clearly. We have used script style manuscripts from the final part of his life (from 1859 to 1881) to reconstruct this present font, as one exemple of the Victor Hugo's hands. It is a "Pro" font containing Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turquish diacritics. The numerous alternates and ligatures allow the font to look as close as possible to a real hand. Using an OTF software, the features allow to vary automatically, almost every character of a word without anything to do but to select contextual alternates and standard ligatures and/or stylistic alternates options.

The handwritten cursive by the famous Italian Casanova has inspired Petra Beiße to design a new script, the “Casanova Script Pro”, with a complement of over 1400 characters and symbols. “Casanova Script Regular” is the basic version of this font with a reduced West-Layout. “Petras Script”, the first digital script font created by the calligrapher Petra Beiße, has, for many years, met with worldwide success. Petra Beiße has resided for a long time in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she is working as a renowned calligrapher. It is rare that any of her scripts are transferred into digital format and sold worldwide as fonts. Because “Petras Script” became such a huge success, she decided to release this new design for digitization. Based on the 1922 Klingspor model by German designer Rudolf Koch, this hand-drawn quill roman has an informal and curiously delicate appearance. The typeface was known in Germany as Koch Antiqua and in the rest of Europe as Locarno.
