His research and studies led to the foundation of ‘Psychoanalysis’. When I first saw Freud’s century old letters, I was fascinated by the beauty of these historic manuscripts. It made me smile to imagine a person writing his or her shrink a letter set in Freud’s handwriting. I started to plan creating a font based on his manuscripts. I contacted the Sigmund Freud Museum Vienna and Freud Museum London. To start the creation I selected eight handwritten documents from the archive in Vienna – This selection of specimen was my orientation during the design process. The Samples were created between 1883 to 1938 and are of various character such as handwritten scientific papers, personal letters, notes and a telegram. A successful Kickstarter Campaign "The Sigmund Freud Typeface - A Letter to your Shrink" with over 1400 Backers enabled me to visit the archive in Vienna and study the original manuscripts of Sigmund Freud. In the last five years I wrote love letters with two persons. I became used to the joy of handwriting with ink and nib on fine paper. Through practice a experimentation my style continuously refined. As life moves on, suddenly I found myself with no one to write love letters to. It's a luxury to have someone to write letters to. Missing the joy of writing and listening to Gregory Porter’s “Be Good”, the decision was made to take this 5 years of writing and make this dance on paper a font. Painting Stencil JNL was modeled in part from a vintage set of 8 inch Gothic stencils. Alphabets of this size were generally referred to as painting stencils because each letter could be painted individually in marking signs, streets or buildings, where the classic 'lettering guide' type of stencils were used for smaller projects and had alignment holes for accurate letter spacing as well as multiples letters per page.

Jemgonza is a Sans-serif font started on January 26, 2022. This font with hyper-extended character sets allow for usage for billboard signs, logos, and even professional documents and essays. It contains localized forms for certain languages that write them differently. For example: Л and л shaped like upside-down V's, д shaped like a lowercase g, и shaped like a lowercase u, and more for Bulgarian; б shaped like the Greek lowercase letter delta for Macedonian and Serbian. Cal Roman Black is one more font from the PKG “Cal” (Calligraphic) group. This time for calligraphic sketches we used a wide brush instead of the iron pen. Instead of minuscule letters, there are Small Caps (which are almost the same weight as capitals). There was an intention to keep the spacing as small as possible, because of that, there is no obvious difference in the stroke thickness of the capitals and the lowercase capital letters. The difference in height is only one-third of the brush-width. Cal Roman Black font is rhythmic, informal, dark and hefty... romantic and strong at the same time (just like Ferdinand). As such, this font is widely used in the typographic creation of shorter and closely packed text forms such as magazine headlines, brochures and book covers, t-shirt designs, logos, posters, movie spots, banners...

Beware The Neighbors is based on “Personality Script”, a rough alphabet originally drawn by Ross F. George, and published in one of the Speedball series of lettering catalogs that ran from 1935 to 1948. The design is something of a minor classic, and several foundries have recreated digital fonts based on it. However, mostly of these interpretations are very “geometric”, formed using straight lines. Intellecta preferred to create a new interpretation using smoother, curved lines to create a creepy appearance. Also included are several ligatures and OpenType stylistic alternates. This version also has an extended character set for use in Central as well as and West European countries, plus Baltic, Turkish and Romanian. Anadolu was inspired by the distinct style of sign lettering in rural Turkey, and refined based on sign lettering in Hungary. Shown here are samples in Turkish and Hungarian, as well as Finnish and Estonian, two other languages in the Finno-Ugric language group with Hungarian. The slight curve at the tops of ascenders and bottoms of descenders is inspired by the linguistic process of "vowel harmony" in Turkish and Hungarian. Anadolu is the Turkish name for Anatolia, the peninsula where Turkey lies. The name recalls another sans-serif typeface named for its country of origin. The tittle on the i is reimagined as a diacritic, and the dotless ı is reimagined as the basic, prototypical i. Too many typefaces treat diacritics as afterthoughts. Since diacritics are integral to the languages that inspired Anadolu, they were designed as core components of the typeface.

As part of the day job I had to trace an old hand drawn logo of a Masonic Lodge from a very poor scan. When I finally got to the end of it I had almost a whole alphabet and I really liked the hand drawn uneven quality, so I made up the rest of the letters and set about making it into a font. I roughened up all the edges for an even older look, added a host of OpenType features and hey presto, Masonic Lodge was born. There are two versions of each letter and number which automatically alternate when contextual alternates are set, more alternates for O and o characters, a good amount of interlock style L and T ligatures (uppercase) and a square & compass ornament. Use it for pub signs, secret society meetings, monster movie titles and pub menus.

I set out to design a monospaced font and decided it would look way better if it wasn't. It gave me the freedom to make the individual glyphs more interesting while retaining the mono-look. The numerals are tabular! Enjoy!

MOTORWAY is the companion typeface to TRANSPORT, the British road sign lettering. The Motorway alphabet was created for the route numbers on motorway signage, and is taller and narrower than the accompanying place names and distances which are printed in Transport. However, for Motorway Jock Kinneir and Margaret Calvert created only the numbers 0 to 9, the capitals A, B, E, M, N, S and W, ampersand, slash, parentheses and a comma. So, although the lettering made its first appearance on the Preston bypass in 1958, K-Type Motorway is the first complete typeface and contains all upper and lower case letters, plus a full complement of punctuation, symbols and Latin Extended-A accented characters. As with the Transport alphabet the starting point was Akzidenz Grotesk, Motorway taking inspiration from condensed versions. Changes were mainly driven by a quest for legibility, resulting in some reduced contrast between horizontal and vertical strokes, and Gill-esque straight diagonal limbs on the 6 and 9, and high vertex for the M. Kinneir and Calvert designed the limited range of characters in two weights; a SemiBold 'Permanent' weight for use as white letters on blue motorway signs, and a Bold 'Temporary' weight for heavier black letters on yellow non-permanent signage. In addition to creating full fonts in both original weights, the K-Type family adds a new Regular weight, plus a set of italics, completing a highly usable condensed typeface which, while rooted in history, is fully functional for both print and web usage. The K-Type fonts are spaced and kerned normally, simply increase the tracking to recapture the generous spacing of motorway signage.

Sabine is an Arabetic type design with a calligraphic flavor. It follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil Taqlidi type style with one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards version 5.1, and one additional, final-position, glyph for each Arabic letter that is normally connected with other letters from both sides in traditional cursive Arabic strings. Sabine employs variable x-height values. It includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures and uses ligature substitutions and selected marks positioning but it does not use any other glyph substitutions or forming. Text strings composed using types of this family are non-cursive with stand-alone isolated glyphs. Tatweel (or Kashida) glyph is a zero width space. Keying it before any glyph will display that glyph isolated form. In Sabine Kashidah, Irsal, and Tasmim keying Tatweel (shift J) after certain glyphs will replace it with a long stroke glyph. In Sabine Tasmim, keying it a second time will replace glyph with a final form swash (Irsal) glyph. In Sabine Irsal all final forms are swash glyphs. Keying Tatweel before Alif Lam Lam Ha will display the Allah ligature. Sabine family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals; all required diacritic marks, Allah ligature, in addition to standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols. Fonts are available in regular and italic styles.

Inventory JNL is based on a "solid letter" stencil where you trace the body of the letter and fill in the top and bottom connecting lines to each character. This is another font in Jeff Levine's series of digital designs based on classic lettering stencil guides.

Kolkman is a nondescript, bold, sans-serif typeface. In addition to a standard version, there is a version with shattered letters and another with striped or grayed letters. The shattered and striped versions can be layered on the regular version to get letters with two colors.
