One of my dreams as a type-designer was making a good looking chancery cursive. Full of life, like some of the best calligraphers around the world do on their artworks. With Julian Waters, John Stevens and Denis Brown (just to name a few of them) (1) chancery, or italic script, was transformed into a new, exciting and very fresh style of calligraphy mainly at the end of 20th Century. Dream Script may be that dream named above made true. I have been practicing chancery in the way I learnt from those calligraphers for many years now. Making a font out of my ink-sketches was a tough work, since they were closer of -being art- than of -being type-. However, this font rescues many aspects of handmade calligraphy: You have to look at it really close to notice it is actually a font, and that was one of my goals. The secret of a good looking chancery is on its subtle details: pen angle is constantly changing, even on the strokes which seem straight. Capitals and swashes have to be done a little faster than lowercase letters. The rhythm has to be even, in spite of its playful look. The fact that makes Dream look alive is that it has many alternates per glyph. This makes each word look unique like it happens in calligraphy: you will find alternates for the beginning/ending of a word/phrase, some for the middle of it, some interchangeable. Also, to accompany the script, you will find Dream Caps, which was inspired in the eternally beautiful trajan capitals. Place them like I did on the posters and you will have great results for sure. The font works great in small, middle and big sizes and can be a great selection for magazines, wedding invitations, perfumes, and posters. Close your eyes, and Dream with me... Bronto is a typeface that mutated many times: it went from being morphologically conventional, to have soft features, to finally have some inverted contrasts that made it more dynamical; but all this without losing sight of the meaning of a typefamily, and the aim pursued by this work: Bronto doesn’t behave as a piece of art, but as a tool. In some weights, this typeface possesses fluffy characteristics and is boldly bighead, while in other versions is slightly contrasted and controlled; this in order to maintain the essential features of the typefamily along the versatility and usability of the 20 variations that composed it. Bronto it’s inspired in neo humanists typographies of the 20th century, and in Chilean lettering. This kind of work was made by the spontaneity of the paintbrush, which gave an inverted contrast to some characters. The Salden fonts are our tribute to the man who was dubbed the face of the Dutch book, and whose work is considered essential in 20th century Dutch design history. Helmut Salden’s exquisite book cover designs were the gold standard in the Netherlands for more than four decades. His influence over Dutch lettering artists and book designers ranges far and wide, and his work continues to be used commercially and exhibited to this very day. At the root of Salden’s design work was a unique eye for counter space and incredible lettering skills that never failed to awe, regardless of category or genre. This made our attention to his lettering all the more focused within our appreciation to his overall aesthetic. Though Salden never designed alphabets to be turned into typefaces (he drew sets of letters which he sometimes recycled and modified to fit various projects), we thought there was enough there to deduce what a few different typefaces by Salden would have looked like. The man was prolific, so there were certainly enough forms to guide us, and enough variation in style to push our excitement even further. And so we contacted the right people, obtained access to the relevant material, and had a lot of fun from there. This set covers the gamut of Salden’s lettering talents. Included are his famous caps, his untamed, chunky flare sans serif in two widths, his unique Roman letters and an italic companion and, most recognizable of all, his one-of-a-kind scripty upright italic lowercase shapes, which he used alongside Roman caps drawn specifically for that kind of combination titling. All the fonts in this set include Pan-European glyph sets. They’re also loaded with extras. Salden Roman (908 glyphs) and Salden Italic (976 glyphs) each come with built-in small caps (and caps-to-small-caps), quite a few ligatures, and two different sets of alternates. Sackers Gothic is part of the larger Sackers series, a collection of fonts drawn from templates for producing engraved stationery and social cards by Gary Sackers, a Charlotte, North Carolina intaglio printer. Salas is a fun, chunky, slab serif omnicase display font. It's blocky and loud, so it can scream from Posters and Headlines. Think of a clown with poor hearing making a Skype call, he's shouting, but you like it. Anyway: it has over 300 glyphs, several variations on the standard alphabet and lots of those extra foreign features for sending international ransom notes. A collision between some stylin' caps from legendary lettering artist Samuel Welo and a lowercase loosely based on ATF’s Romany Script yields this curious little wonder. Named after a 70s song which averred that all it took to be “the coolest guy what is what am” is to talk fast, walk slow and look good wearing that 'hair. This font family is display stencil sans-serif with different stylistic layers available as open type font. The main characters are geometric and neutral but when we change the contextual alternates open type feature the letterforms activate the cursive stylish set. The word composition is divided by initial, medial and final forms, available for all uppercase and lowercase, the diacritics for Latin encodings (Western and central Europe and Baltic countries) are available. However the contextual alternate features (cursive mode) can only work on Adobe CS Indesign and Illustrator softwares. This typeface also has uppercase swash and stylish alternates. A large group of discretionary ligatures are also available to improve better legibility and readability on specific characters combinations.

Standard Request is 100% handmade, and was inspired by both grafitti and comic book lettering. When viewed at large sizes, the handmade look and feel really stands out - at the same time, Standard Request, is super legible even at really small sizes. I've added 5 slightly different versions of each letter, and they automatically cycle as you type!

Although this condensed type is ideal for titles and headlines, it has small caps and letters with diacritical marks included as well. It keeps readability at mind, while trying to be as much "done-by-hand" as it can. It has unique tears on each edge of each letter and tilting on certain "slices of tape".

The hand lettered title on the 1911 sheet music for “That Railroad Rag” was designed in a block style letter with spurred serifs. This simple typographic layout evokes the imagery of early rail transportation although the song itself is was a ‘modern’ composition of then-popular ragtime music. Railway Station JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Sweepy is based on his popular Pooper Black but it is lighter and has connecting letters. Sweepy is a brush script that is casual and fluid. In the expanded OpenType version Sweepy is loaded with over 50 alternate characters and ligatures that offer more flexible lettering options. This hand lettered Art Nouveau style features a unique take on thick-and-thin lettering which foreshadows the Art Deco typefaces to come during the 1930s.

Schoolyard Blues JNL is based on the hand lettered title found on the sheet music for the 1938 song "I Was Late for School". A condensed sans serif with chamfered corners, it reflects the Art Deco influences of the day in some of the letter forms. This type design is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The uppercase letters lean to the left and the lowercase letters lean to the right, so aLtErNaTiNg the two will give your headlines a little bounce.
