Vingo is an understated, elegant, sans serif face. This font is among the first in a series of alphabets I am creating that are dignified and sophisticated. I wish these fonts had been available when I was designing wine labels. These fonts are rooted in "old world" tradition, but are more utilitarian. Some of the funky aspects are downplayed, some are enhanced and updated. Any job that requires understated sophistication is perfect for this face. The name comes from the French for wine, "Vin", and "Go" from gothic-wine gothic or Vingo.

Xalapa is a wavy and rugged script. The font comes packed with OpenType alternates and ligatures. Included are fifteen titling alternates, small caps, oldstyle figures and a full set of stylistic alternates to ensure that your designs are unique every time. Sixty-four contextual ligatures are available to extend the organic nature of the lettering and make certain that no two letters in a word are alike. Constant is a meticulously constructed slab serif display typeface of a sturdy lineage. The strong horizontal and vertical rhythm and calculated angles dominate its appearance, yet sweeping broad shapes infuse the design with an overall warm undertone. Constant is best suited for setting short headlines, word marks, posters and other visual communication ephemera. Particular when set in all uppercase the typeface’s squarish and resolute nature commands attention and projects authority. Despite the prominent slab serifs and their angular corner details, these fonts work well also for shorter text passages, especially in the lighter to medium weights. When typesetting Constant in paragraphs spanning several lines the face requires a fair amount of leading to not appear vertically compressed. As customary for Underscore’s catalog the fonts have very extensive support for languages in the Latin script, reaching from Afrikaans to Vietnamese and Zulu. The fonts are carefully spaced, kerned and hinted, and include a variety of typographic glyphs and OpenType features like various ligatures, number features and case alternatives. Constant has been developed and released in 2018 as the proud forth release from the Underscore label. This design by Johannes Neumeier is available from the Underscore webshop as well as selected retailers.

Ragazza Script isn’t just another display typeface. It honors the greatest handwriting skills but in a different way. Although It doesn't represent any traditional calligraphy style, it is still part of that expressive world. With more than 1000 glyphs, and taking advantage of the Opentype features, Ragazza is full of personality. When in use, it gives a feel very close to ornamental Copperplate mixed with some kind of modern 'high-contrast' typeface. Arzachel is a humanistic sanserif with a big x-height and a specific organic look. Its design is scientifically sharp and efficient in small type sizes as well as rugged and dramatic in headlines. Arzachel’s essential feeling comes from several features: all the letters are slightly sloped, stem terminations are flared at the top, and the terminals in letters a, c, e, f… are widening with the inside parts completely flat. The stroke contrast is low in the regular weight while it increases in the black; finally the capitals have an inscriptional flavor. Despite being a sanserif (thus a product of recent typography) Arzachel’s roots stretch back to the Renaissance tradition: Olocco took inspiration from some of the early and rather weird types cut in Venice in the 15th century. Arzachel was conceived during Olocco’s MA in Reading to provide a companion for his Zenon for use in small type sizes. But instead of expanding the Zenon family with optical sizes, the designer decided on a sans with its own personality rather than a sanserif version of Zenon with chopped-off serifs.

Hello Headline is a bold and friendly typeface designed specifically (believe it or not) for headlines. All of the letters are chunky and rounded, which is probably the reason why they are visible from afar. And I mean, really, really afar.
