He was extremely strong if he stayed in contact with the earth, but once lifted into the air he became weak and liquid. So is this font, strong if grounded and weak if floating in the air. Work for the Xcetera typeface started with the desire to create a classical serif design but using the less contrasted stroke thickness found in a host of sans serif designs. My aim was to retain some of the clarity found in modern strokes yet use the serifs to aid in letter recognition and legibility. The result is a form of hybrid design that is surprising clear in small point sizes yet offer a lot of personality in larger formats. Suited for both display and text settings, Xcetera aims to be both functional and fun while looking to explore new possibilities for the classical typeface style.

Technically a crowbar is a straight metal rod used for digging. The tool I had in mind when I named this font is called a jemmy or pry bar, but I guess I liked the name crowbar better. Crowbar font, like its namesake, is a very useful tool: its brush-like appearance fits any design, especially if you are aiming for the ‘scary’ look. Comes with a toolbox full of diacritics too!

Huxley Alt is just that — an alternative to Huxley Vertical by ATF. It represents one of my earliest efforts. I liked the crispness of Huxley Vertical, but wanted a lowercase and with some modulation of the strokes as in Empire, also by ATF. Huxley Alt is the result. Highly condensed. Set it large or lose it. Huxley Alt is a bargain-priced font with 226 glyphs, covering the usual Western European accents (ref MS Code Page 1252). Monotype Gallia's design was initially developed by Wadsworth A. Parker for the American Type Founders (ATF) in 1927. Monotype released its own version in 1928. Its style is embodied with the spirit of the American Art Deco age and the Roaring 20s. It makes a superb headline selection, and has also been used effectively for packaging as well. Fairweather is a fresh air. Clear, transparent, and lucid as if it is the spring and autumn sky. By designed condensed, legible and perspicuous, Fairweather is perfect for titles and captions. Set of ornaments based on the decorative motifs used by the first typographic workshop in Buenos Aires: “Imprenta de Niños Expósitos”, between 1780 and 1824. This set is the product of an extensive historical research that aims to identify the type that came from Europe to the City during colonial times, and during the first years of Argentina’s independence. This group has a lot of diversity, which fluctuates between organic baroque forms and geometric neoclassical. Its characters can be used in editorial design along with Roman typefaces, they work individually or grouped to form different figures, guards or frames. It was baptized in honor to the first printer who worked in the workshop: the Spanish Agustín Garrigós.

No: Jethro Bodine didn't design this typeface although, to look at it, you might be tempted to think so. Rather, the pattern was a product of the fertile imagination of famed lettering artist Alf Becker. The lowercase letters are the same as the uppercase, but angled differently so, if you want a randomized appearance, you can activate Contextual Alternates and the font will do the shift-key double-clutching needed. Both versions include the complete Unicode Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets, with localization for Moldovan and Romanian.
