Zera JNL is one of those fonts that defy any simple description. While trying out effects on Transactive JNL, Jeff Levine came up with a set of letters comprised of intersecting rings that could illustrate chain, cellular structure, bubbles or probably anything your imagination can come up with to adapt the font to a particular project. Please keep in mind this design works best in larger point sizes.

Hangtime Rad and Extra were designed with surf posters in mind, a subject close to my heart as an avid sailboarder and surfer. Its slightly raked (3 degrees) yet vertical appearance makes for compact setting with extreme impact. Hangtime exhibits some quirky terminal features, its shortened upstrokes are balanced by the lengthened strokes of others providing unusually consistent spacing. Best applied to display situations but is readable at text sizes.

The casual characters of Allura Regular are simple and clean and very legible, with an almost handwritten calligraphic appeal. The script and formal sets offer a softer, more formal look. This exceptionally diverse font was designed with advertising, display and package design in mind. The Etalage-script has been drawn for the first time in the year 2000, based on a early 20th century lettering stencil with what farmer Boelema at Lalleweer stenciled his grainsacks. Eventually the script letter was developed as a typeface with a wink to the ‘lost’ displaytypes for the ‘display window’ of graphic designer Ariënne Boelens, who in exchange made the website www.lalleweer.nl. What originated the Ariënne should be evident now.

The title and credits from the 1965 film “Strange Bedfellows” were hand lettered in a style typical of the early-to-mid 1960s – casual and playful. This brought to mind similar type designs used by many radio stations when advertising their disc jockeys as cool, hip and fashionable in the slang term of the day “boss” jocks. Boss Jock JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Organic Respect is my monospaced and organic slab serif font. Although the font is monospaced - which may not lead your mind to something organic - I did my best to make the letters appear vibrant and lively in an organic way. Greenalyzed is a made up word is a font that could set your mind to something handmade and eco friendly. The letters are clumsy and childish naive, but really fun and legible. Comes in 3 different versions: Regular, Rough and Stitch. The Stitch version is good as a top or shadow layer. I also added multilingual support and "jumpy" ligature substitutions for the most common double letters. Enjoy!

Huginn And Muninn are a pair of ravens that fly all over the world Midgard. They keep the god Odin up to date on the wheelings and dealings of everyone living under the sun. Huginn means 'thought' and Muninn means 'memory' or 'mind' in old Norse. The font is a handwritten notebook-style typeface, messy yet legible. It is ideal to give your designs a lively, personal touch.

Cerulean comes from the Latin word caeruleus, meaning dark blue. I have always liked this color, so I decided to name a font after it. Cerulean Blue is a handmade brush font family, consisting of a nice handwritten font and a caps font. Both fonts come with their Italics. Cerulean Blue can be used for just about any design, but product packaging and book covers come to mind.

Gloriana is based on hand lettered titles from an old fairy tale book. The illustrator isn't credited, and we had to create and modify a lot of characters, but we preserved the interesting personality of the original lettering. In creating Gloriana the popularity of Folkard was kept very much in mind, so it has some of the same features, including special flourished characters accessed with the option/alt key.

Hand lettered, the title on the sheet music for a 1940s hit song "Ti-Pi-Tin" inspired Guadalajara JNL. The melody and original Spanish lyrics were written by Maria Grever, one of Mexico's first successful female composers, with English lyrics supplied by Raymond Leveen. This decorative and fun type face brings to mind fiestas South of the border, and emanates the charm of Mexico's music, dance and colorful costumes.

Stateside is a bold condensed serif with a vintage feel. It has an urban and, I like to think, urbane character which puts me in mind of classic Thirties architecture like the Rockefeller Centre or the Empire State Building. I did consider calling it Rockefeller, but the family might think it a bit of a liberty, and I can’t afford to get into a copyright battle with them!

There is no such thing as a talking cat, however, you can often find these in adventures, movies and other stories. At least, now you can have your own font called "Talking Cat", and perhaps even your cat will like it! Mine did! Talking Cat works very well with packaging, toys, posters, postcards or perhaps even flyers - the smoothly rounded edges makes sure your design keeps that handmade look!

The model for Bensonhurst JNL was a 1930s-era hand-lettered WPA (Works Project Administration) poster for the play "Hell Bent For Heaven". Although the basic style is a classic Art Deco "thick and thin" format, the design (in certain characters) starts to take on the feel of a 1970s revival style. With this in mind, Bensonhurst JNL is a bit of a hybrid between the 1930s and the 1970s.

Sting is a hybrid of Blackletter lowercase with Roman Capitals. This style drawn by Michael Clark in pen and ink evolved over several years and is now avaiable in font form. 12 alternate lowercase characters are included. The 1938 sheet music for "(The Dwarves Marching Song) Heigh-Ho" from Walt Disney's "Snow White" had the part of the title in parenthesis hand lettered with a round nib ink pen. This lettering became the inspiration for Pen Work JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Seasonal Drift is a brush font that I made using one of my father in law's Chinese brushes and ink. For some reason this font reminded me of the ocean, like waves and currents and driftwood. Seasonal Drift comes with a healthy dose of language support and some cool discretionary ligatures.

Kokomo is a beautiful handmade contoured font - which was drawn with an old-fashioned steel pen and Chinese ink. The open, shadowed letters are great for posters and ads. Kokomo comes with extensive language support and has an alternative lower case a, for those who don't like the one I used.

ITC Veljovic Script was designed by Jovica Veljovic and displays an obvious calligraphic heritage. The designer was strongly influenced by German designer Hermann Zapf and Israeli designer Henri Friedlander. ITC Veljovic Script exhibits a crisp precision, as if the letters were cut in stone rather than drawn with pen and ink.

Freaky Prickle script was written using ink and various wooden sticks and digitized/ Autor’s target was to create the spontaneous, light, flying script with dynamics and energy at the same time. Upright and cursive styles are available. The type was planned for use as headline in fiction and display matter.

Noad Sans is an experimental sans serif typeface with a strong character and some very unique visual features. At the core of Noad Sans is a sturdy sans serif with closed apertures and fairly simple letterforms. The defining feature of Noad Sans, however, is its visualised nodes: all control points of Bézier curves in each of the fonts in the family are intentionally visualised. The first flower that was created was for a the cover of a cultural magazine in Montréal (Québec). Then we couldn't stop and we've created a whole font with interesting forms of flowers.
