Trionik is a monospace experiment in modular, grid-based typography. It is a future-forward take on the computer system typefaces of the mid- to late-20th century—when computers began to rise in usability and integrate into all art forms. Working best as a display font, the Trionik family features 4 separate styles with varying widths.

Eckhardt Headline JNL is a bold, condensed sans serif font. This is part of a series of typefaces popular with the sign trade. Named in honor of the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr. - a talented sign writer and a good friend of type designer Jeff Levine - it is available in both regular and "slant" for extra emphasis.

This late Victorian typeface flirts with Art Nouveau sensibilities, as evidenced by the graceful curves and the decorative crossmembers in several of the uppercase letters. The result is a font that combines simple, understated elegance with a no-nonsense, workmanlike stance. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

This font was inspired by the Cancellaresca pattern (look at our 1491 Cancellaresca and 1610 Cancellaresca), in particular Spanish one, from Francisco Lucas, who was working in the late 1500s. It is a modern variation, including West European accented characters and a lot of initial and final alternates (not in the Mac TT version for technical reasons).

Willow font was designed by Tony Forster, a fanciful font in the Viennese Secessionist style. The first release of XLaserTrain, a toy train font, was constructed by taking bits from the four LetterTrain fonts. Born in the lab as a research experiment, Reboot is great for that certain 70’s sci-fi need. It’s filled with the angular curves of the technology of yore, with full diacriticals for Eastern European Cold War era galactic display copy. Limited character set.

Nuyork Arabic was designed to emphasize on the individual Arabic letter visual traditional characteristics. Including 5 weights, it was designed with both text and display applications in mind. This font is intended to produce virtually cursive texts without eliminating the clarity or look-and-feel of the individual Arabic letters. Offering glyphs for the full Extended Arabic Unicode Standards 6.1, including the latest Arabic Supplement and Extended-A Unicode blocks, Nuyork Arabic incorporates comprehensive support for Quranic texts and other Arabetic scripts, including African sub-Saharan scripts. Careful design considerations were given to make sure that composed Arabetic text is visually prominent and stands well next to Latin. To insure legibility in all sizes, vertical strokes are emphasized when possible, while utilizing multiple x-heights to give a traditional Arabic feel. The design of this font follows the general guidelines of the Mutamathil type style developed by the designer, a decade ago, to enrich and diversify user typographic options, and to address the Arabetic scripts challenges of literacy, education, economics, and technology. Robert Hunter Middleton drew the original design of Stellar for the Ludlow Typograph Company in Chicago. Work began in the late 1920s, when Middleton was asked to create a sans serif type family to compete with European imports of Futura and Kabel. Stellar was Middleton's attempt to raise the ante. Where Futura and Kabel were geometric in design and monotone in weight, Stellar was based on roman character proportions and stroke weighs were stressed. In the late 1990s, Dave Farey took on the task of reviving the Stellar design. While Ludlow cut Stellar in a full range of point sizes, the family was limited to just a roman and bold design. Farey's revival is twice as large a family. It ranges from a very light called Stellar Nova to a very bold called Zeta In between are Lyra and Epsilon.

Lüdickital is a handwriting script design. Lüdicke wasn´t satisfied with existing scripts which he though of too stylish and uneven. He simply digitized his own handwriting and developed a regular and a bold.

My intent in designing Young Gallant was to create as simple and elegant a formal script as possible. It was developed to illustrate my new book Learning Curves discussing the essence of formal script.

Sabine is an Arabetic type design with a calligraphic flavor. It follows the guidelines of the Mutamathil Taqlidi type style with one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards version 5.1, and one additional, final-position, glyph for each Arabic letter that is normally connected with other letters from both sides in traditional cursive Arabic strings. Sabine employs variable x-height values. It includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures and uses ligature substitutions and selected marks positioning but it does not use any other glyph substitutions or forming. Text strings composed using types of this family are non-cursive with stand-alone isolated glyphs. Tatweel (or Kashida) glyph is a zero width space. Keying it before any glyph will display that glyph isolated form. In Sabine Kashidah, Irsal, and Tasmim keying Tatweel (shift J) after certain glyphs will replace it with a long stroke glyph. In Sabine Tasmim, keying it a second time will replace glyph with a final form swash (Irsal) glyph. In Sabine Irsal all final forms are swash glyphs. Keying Tatweel before Alif Lam Lam Ha will display the Allah ligature. Sabine family includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals; all required diacritic marks, Allah ligature, in addition to standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols. Fonts are available in regular and italic styles.

Kufi Mutamathil is an Arabetic (extended Arabic) typeface design with heavy Arabic Kufi calligraphy accent, both on a single letter level and in an overall text look and feel. Although Kufi, the earliest Arabic calligraphy style, is often described as “stiff”, it is in fact a very flexible style. The Kufi Mutamathil typeface design underlines this calligraphy style flexibility and openness through visualizing a very legible Mutamathil design with Kufi shapes. The Mutamathil type style utilizes only one isolated glyph per Arabic Unicode character or letter, as defined in Unicode Standards. It is a very light style which does not require any standard glyph substitution or the shaping engine. The Kufi Mutamathil font family employs variable, unrestricted, x-height values. It comes in regular and left-slanted italic styles. Kufi Mutamathil includes all required Lam-Alif ligatures. Soft-vowel diacritic marks, or harakat, are selectively positioned with the majority of them appearing on the same level, over or below, following a letter, to ensure that they would not interfere with individual glyphs appearance. Kashida, or tatweel, (shft-j) is a zero-width character. Keying it before Alif-Lam-Lam-Ha will display the Allah ligature. Kufi Mutamathil includes both Arabic and Arabic-Indic numerals, in addition to all Standard English keyboard punctuations and major currency symbols.

Earlier this year, my eyes fell upon a discarded wedding invitation on the sidewalk. A closer look at it revealed that it had at one point been victimized by rain. Some of the fancy script letters were not quite broken, but sort of melted and run-down, while the rest were still somewhat intact. That's how Scroll was conceived, as an idea for a script where thicks and thins blend to produce a wet appearance. Unlike most available broken scripts, the Scroll script was originally drawn in its own juiced context, and not based on any existing script. This font is great for atmospheric antiquity, deep natural poetry, still life captioning, gothic music posters and collateral, or horror literature and poetry covers.
