John Seddon (1644-1700), was a famous English writing master, the leading calligrapher of his time, and master of Sir John Johnson’s Free Writing School in Priest’s Court, Foster Lane. His portrait was drawn by William Faithorne and was engraved by John Sturt as the frontispiece for his copy-books, such as ‘The Ingenious youth’s companion’ of c.1690 and 'The pen-man’s paradise' of c.1695. ITC Belter was designed by Andreu Balius in 1996. Out of a purposely limited form repertoire Balius created a constructed typeface with a cool and technical character. A distinguishing characteristic of this font is the cross at the ends of many strokes. The figures seem to be products of mass production, which heightens the mechanical feel of the font. Belter is meant for point sizes of 10 and larger in headlines and shorter texts and must be set with generous spacing.

Fox Grotesque is another member of the Fox Family and stylistically finds itself between Fox TRF (with some extreme curly lowercase letters), and Fox Sans (a cold geometric sans-serif). Youngblood is a non-connected formal script with tall, sweeping ascenders and two alternates. Cutlass was just for fun. A year ago or so [2009, maybe], someone on typophile showed a scan of the word "Ciruelo". I liked it. Those were the only letters I had and no one ever came up with the name of the original font that I saw. It doesn't matter as I went far afield as I designed, as usual. Rikon is a modern Sans Serif Family designed by Joël Carrouché and available in six weights, from Thin to Black. As usual, I stumbled upon a great 1971 Italian movie poster when looking for something else. The poster for “La Morte Cammina Con I Tacchi Alti” (directed by Luciano Ercoli), was made by an unknown artist and comes with a great font. Cortese was based on this movie poster font, but as I started working on the glyphs, I figured they would even look better in ligatures. So here it is: Cortese font - complete with 135 ligatures, accents and even Greek and Cyrillic!

Hungarian type designer György Szönyei created this display FontFont in 1999 and extended it in 2010. The family has 11 weights, and is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, logo, branding and creative industries, music and nightlife as well as sports. FF Archian provides advanced typographical support with features such as ligatures, alternate characters, and stylistic alternates. It comes with proportional lining and tabular lining figures. As well as Latin-based languages, Archian Stencil also supports the Cyrillic writing system.

MB Empire is a font that like MB vintage has its roots in early 20th century design, It has a distinctly english feel with its style references to the classic Gill Sans. It has a very traditional look whilst still maintaining its own modernist individuality. It comes in six weights with italics and has extended language support. With many opentype features including oldstlye & lining figures, automatic fractions and more its a font family that will work for almost any application.

Tulda is a very lively lettering font originally drawn for a German calendar. The optional symbols feature over 72 festive renderings for just about any occasion.
